Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1169: It would be ungrateful if she didn't come back
The bowl of congee warmed her stomach and Eloise's spirits improved.
She turned her head to look at Hector's mother, who was tidying up, and her heart felt solid and touched.
Sometimes she wondered how lucky she had been in her last life to have met such wonderful parents-in-law and husband in this life. When she thought of this, she became a little despondent.
Hector, where the hell are you?
"Eloise, what are you thinking about?"
The sudden sound of Hector's mother's voice brought Eloise's thoughts back to her.
Hector's mother didn't ask any more questions, "I'm going over to Aisly's to check on her and I'll come back later to keep you company." Eloise nodded, "Good."
"Then you lie down and rest."
Hector's mother helped her to lie down slowly and pulled the covers over her before saying, "I'll be going then."
"Hmm."
Eloise watched her walk out, and the moment the door closed, the whole ward fell silent.
A feeling of silence came over her and Eloise smiled bitterly and slowly closed her eyes.
...
Bergerian himself drove Lisa to the airport.
"I'm not going back."
Despite arriving at the airport, Lisa was still unwilling to compromise.
Leaving him alone at City J, who knew what would happen to him with that bitch.
So, no matter what, she wasn't going back to Italy.
Bergerian looked at her quietly, his face and eyes unmoving, making it impossible to see what was on his mind at the moment.
A silent pressure came over her and Lisa turned her face away, making her point once more, "I'm not going back to Italy, not even if I die!"
She couldn't believe he was really going to have her escorted back to Italy.
"You're really not going back?" Bergerian finally spoke, his voice without a rise or fall.
"Not going back!"
Lisa glared at him unabashedly.
Bergerian suddenly laughed, "Fine, you're not going back, then we'll get a divorce."
Lisa froze for a few seconds, then reacted and screamed out in excitement, "Bergerian!
"You are given two choices, either you go back to Italy in good order and we remain husband and wife, or we divorce and we have nothing to do with each other from now on." "Bergerian, don't you go too far!" Lisa was furious.
In a whirlwind she thought of something very important and her anger came down in a flash.
She sneered, "Bergerian, you think we can get a divorce just because you say so? Have you asked my father what he wants?"
A sneer crossed Bergerian's eyes, sure enough he was trying to use the Agnelli Family to put pressure on him again.
"Why should I ask your father's opinion about my affairs?" Bergerian asked instead of answering.
"Because without the Agnelli Family, you wouldn't be who you are now."
Lisa cut right to the chase, she couldn't believe he would go out of his way to flip off the Agnelli Family for a bitch.
"Oh?" Bergerian raised an eyebrow in disbelief, "Then I'd rather not have the person I am now."
At these words, Lisa's anger rose again, "Bergerian, are you really going to divorce me for a woman?"
It was only now that Lisa really realised how much he cared for that bitch.
If she could, she would have liked Carl to have shot that bitch straight to death to get rid of the problem.
"I told you, as long as you behave and go back to Italy, our marriage is still on."
Whichever option was available, Lisa was resigned to it.
And it seemed that now he no longer had any qualms about the Agnelli Family.
Lisa weighed the pros and cons and finally nodded, "OK, I'll go back to Italy."
It wasn't as if she couldn't sneak back into City J again.
Just as she thought that, she heard Bergerian say, "I'll send someone to keep an eye on you, and if you ever come back to City J, we'll have to get a divorce." "Bergerian!" Lisa was so angry that she was shaking.
"Matthew, send someone back to Italy with Madame and keep me informed of anything." Bergerian ignored her anger and gave his orders to Matthew. "Yes." Matthew bowed his head respectfully.
Bergerian glanced at Lisa, turned and marched off.
"Bergerian."
Lisa tried to chase after him, but Matthew reached out and stopped her, "Ma'am, it's time to board."
Lisa had no choice but to watch Bergerian leave.
...
Leaving the airport, Bergerian went straight to the hospital.
He had wanted to check on Eloise, but seeing the bodyguards guarding the ward outside, he had to give up.
Right now he didn't want to go head to head with the Rogers family, like Rupert said, this wasn't Italy and he had no advantage.
"Sir, I can handle them." Matthew glanced at the two bodyguards not far away.
"No need." Bergerian turned and said lightly, "There's no hurry in the future."
"But Professor Curry has been pushing hard, and if we don't bring them back, he's going to have second thoughts." Matthew said worriedly.
"He wouldn't dare." Bergerian's eyes narrowed slightly, "His research won't work without my support."
Bergerian was sure of that.
"Then Miss Eloise ..."
"Let her recover from her injuries for now, and we'll make our next move."
Bergerian lifted his steps and left, Matthew turned his head to look at the bodyguard at the door of Eloise's hospital room and hurried to follow.
...
Rawlins always felt as if someone was following him lately, but he hadn't found anyone suspicious.
"President, how long are you going to be in J this time?" The assistant asked.
"A few days." Rawlins raised his hand and rubbed his temples which were a little sore, a sigh spilled out from his lips, "I hope I can bring someone back if I go this time." The assistant frowned at that, "I'm afraid the lady doesn't want to come back."
"She doesn't want to come back?" Rawlins snorted, "Now it's not like she can't come back if she doesn't want to, Grandma is like that, she'd be ungrateful if she didn't come back."
At this point Rawlins looked a little agitated, he couldn't understand what was so good about that man Hector that it was worth her doing that.
Could she just hide for the rest of her life and not be found by the Rogers family?
It seemed to him that it was only a matter of time before the Rogers family found Hector.
Lately he had been feeling stalked, and he was afraid that the Rogers family had something to do with it.
He closed his eyes for a moment before speaking again, "What's the old lady's condition?"
"The doctor's orders are to try and get the operation done early so that she can live a few more years."
Rawlins frowned, "What about the old lady's own wishes?"
"She says she won't do the operation unless her granddaughter visits her."
Which meant that as long as Earlene didn't return, the old lady wouldn't have the operation.
Rawlins sighed, "This old one won't let anyone worry."
If his father hadn't handed over the responsibility to him, he would have wanted to quit.
Everyone envied him for being the president of the Bartram Group, but they didn't know how hard it was for him.
One Earlene alone was enough to give him a lifetime headache.
He took a deep breath and got up, "Come on, let's go to the airport."
For the Bartram family, for Earlene, any more headaches, he was willing to do.
