Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1172: Isn't this Mr Hector

"I'm not speaking for her, but you've really gone too far."

Edwards was really angry, there was no way he could accept that his sister was such an unreasonable person.

"Where have I gone too far?" Elva laughed in exasperation, "What part of what I said was wrong? Wasn't she negligent at work?" "You..."

Edwards was about to say something else when Edwina relented and interrupted, "That's enough!"

Several people jumped in shock and focused their eyes on her.

Edwina took a deep breath, "Miss. Ainsley, since you have said that today, I must make it clear. Mr Farabee and I are not what you think we are, we are just friends, and as for your brother, he is my sister's friend.

I hope you won't just slander me again. Yes, I'm a single mother, but I've never done anything wrong to my conscience."

Following that, she turned her head and bent down towards the manager, "Manager, this is really my fault today, I am willing to resign and take all the responsibility."

"Edwina you ..." the manager was surprised, the matter was not so serious that she had to resign herself. Edwina guffawed, "I have been here for so long and thanks to your care, I am getting better and better."

The manager smiled gratefully, "It's your own effort. Also, you don't have to resign, it was just a small oversight."

She patted Edwina's shoulder to show her that she was fine and turned to Elva, "Miss, in addition to the free bill this time, if you come to the restaurant in future, just quote your name and you will get 20% off, do you think that's okay?" Elva looked at her with amusement, "Do you think I can't afford to pay? Money is the last thing I need. All I need is for you to fire her and nothing will happen."

"Sorry, I don't just fire employees. I also ask you, Miss, not to impose on anyone." The manager locked eyes with her without being condescending.

"You!" Elva was instantly furious, "No, I want to see your boss, I don't believe I can't get her fired!"

"That's enough, Elva!" yelled Edwards sternly.

Elva saw that his face was frighteningly grim and knew that he was really angry, and that if she continued to make a scene, it would not end well. But she was not willing to give up just like that.

She glared hatefully at Edwina behind the manager, and finally grimaced reluctantly, "Forget it, I'm not going to be ordinary with you."

At these words, both the manager and Edwina secretly sighed in relief.

Elva picked up her bag and coldly glanced at Edwina, "Brother, let's go."

"Manager, sorry for the trouble." Edwards smiled apologetically at the manager.

The manager shook his head, "It's okay, it's only right that our restaurant was negligent."

"No, Edwina did a great job." As he said this, Edwards raised his eyes to Edwina and gave her a reassuring smile.

Edwina lowered her eyes and Edwina nodded her head.

"Brother, come on."

Elva, who had reached the door, turned back to replace Edwards not following and couldn't help but raise her voice to shout. "Edwina, I'm leaving." Edwards waved his hand at Edwina and headed for the door.

As she watched them go out, Edwina's tense nerves relaxed for a moment and she let out a long sigh of relief. "Manager, I'm sorry, it's all because of me ..."

"Don't say that." The manager interrupted her, "Get to work."

Edwina knew that the manager didn't want to make things difficult for her and was grateful, but she didn't know what to say.

...

"Elva, you've really gone too far today."

Edwards accused him as he got into the car.

Elva shouted in displeasure, "Where did I go too far? That woman is not a good person in the first place."

When she spoke of Edwina, she gritted her teeth in hatred.

"Didn't she already say that? Things aren't what you think they are." Edwards turned his head helplessly to look at her.

I wanted to crack her head open and see what was in it, so indistinguishable from right and wrong.

"I'm going to believe what she says, huh?" Elva looked away, "She's just got it in for Edgar anyway."

Edwards was silent for a few seconds before he asked, "Is that Edgar so good that it's worth it to you to make things difficult for him?"

"Of course Edgar is good, he's my future husband." Speaking of Edgar, Elva immediately showed a shy expression.

"Husband?" Edwards tugged at the corner of his mouth, "How is this your future husband when it's not even eight yet?"

"Brother!" Elva exclaimed disgruntled, poking her finger at his shoulder, "You must always remember that I am a sister, don't hit me like that!"

Edwards lost his smile, "Fine, no blows for you. Then you should stop giving Edwina a hard time too."

"Huh." Elva laughed dryly, "If I'm not going to give her a hard time, she needs to stay away from Edgar and not let me see her pestering him again or I won't be done with her." "Don't worry, she won't before and she won't afterwards."

Elva frowned, "How do you know she won't?"

"Because I trust her."

Edwards gave her a sideways glance and started the car, pulling it out of the car park.

He always believed Edwina was as good and hardworking a person as her sister.

...

"President, there's good news."

Ivor couldn't be bothered to knock and pushed the office door open straight away and walked in.

Edgar put down the papers in his hands and looked up, "What's the good news?"

"Got a picture of Mr Hector." Ivor handed over his phone.

Edgar rushed to take it and looked at it, his sword brows furrowed, "Where is it?"

"Here it is." Ivor leaned in and zoomed in on the picture, pointing to the man on the side, "Isn't that Mr Hector?"

Edgar smiled as he took a closer look and saw the man in the photo, "It really is me, Hector."

"Where was this taken?" Edgar asked.

"Outside the Yamaguchi Gang leader's residence."

Edgar frowned, "Does that mean Earlene is hiding someone there?"

"Yes." Ivor nodded, "And it's strange that we got a shot of someone this time."

"What does that mean?"

"It's a bit strange that Miss Earlene should be so discreet when she's hiding someone on purpose, the last few times we've followed Mr Rawlins to Singapore we've come up empty-handed, but this time it was so easy to get a shot of someone." Edgar furrowed his eyebrows in thought, "You mean it was deliberate for you guys to get a shot?"

"I'm guessing so, because the guy who sent it out reported back to me that Mr Rawlins seems to have spotted someone following him."

Edgar raised an eyebrow, "That's a possibility. With Rawlins' attitude, he shouldn't allow his sister to hide people from him."

"So do we go straight to the door now and ask for the man, or do we think of something else?" Ivor asked.

"I'll go down to City J and tell Eloise and Rupert about the situation, and we'll see what exactly we do."

It was a decision he didn't want to make on his own, in case he alerted Earlene and took someone else into hiding somewhere else.
