Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1179: Jealous, right?

Eloise came downstairs just in time to see Edgar returning.

She glanced at the wall clock and asked with a smile, "Cousin, why are you back so early today?" It was not yet time to leave work.

"I have good news for you, let's talk in the living room."

Eloise complied and walked to the living room and sat down, "What's the good news?"

"Rawlins called me." Edgar said as he sat down.

"What did he say?" Eloise hurriedly asked after him.

Edgar smiled, "He said that Earlene will be back in Kyoto in a few days."

"Are you ... serious?" Eloise was in a bit of disbelief, she was afraid that the more she hoped, the more she would be disappointed.

"It's true. I double-checked."

With the definitive answer, Eloise couldn't help the tip of her nose from sinking and her eyes instantly filled with tears, she tried to force them back and the corners of her mouth curled up, "Great, great." The tears were still falling down her face.

Seeing her cry made Edgar feel a little bad, he got up and went to sit beside her, put his arm around her shoulders and whispered soothingly, "Don't cry, it's good news."

"I can't help it." Eloise lifted her hand to wipe her tears and tried to squeeze out a smile, "Cousin, is Hector coming back with us?"

"If nothing else, yes!"

The tears fell even harder and Eloise could no longer hold back the whimper as she raised her hand to cover her face.

For days and nights, the person she had missed was coming back to her.

Edgar understood her feelings, and instead of comforting her, he held her close and let her vent her emotions.

I don't know how long it took before the crying stopped.

Eloise's eyes were swollen with tears.

Edgar was so distressed that he asked the housekeeper to get an ice pack to put on her eyes.

As he held the ice pack for her, he said, "Even though Earlene is coming back, we need to talk about exactly what to do." "Where is Thomas?" Edgar asked.

"He went out, said he was going to see a friend."

Edgar furrowed his brow, "A friend? He has a friend here?"

Eloise nodded, "Yeah, it's Edwina."

Edwina?

Edgar's eyes flashed with surprise, when did Thomas and Edwina become friends?

Eloise closed her eyes, not hearing Edgar's voice for a long time, her thin eyebrows furrowed, "Cousin, what's wrong with you?"

Her voice drew her back to her senses and Edgar raised his lips and smiled, "Nothing, I was just surprised when Thomas and Edwina became friends."

At that, Eloise took off the ice pack, opened her red eyes to look at him and asked seriously, "Cousin, tell me honestly, do you like Edwina?"

"I ..." Edgar's eyes flickered, "I do, what's wrong?"

Eloise frowned, "I mean the male-female kind of like."

Edgar lowered his head, hiding the emotion under his eyes, and said in a light voice, "We're just normal friends."

"That's great." Eloise clapped her hands together and a huge smile spread across her pretty little face.

"Great?" Edgar quirked his eyebrows, not understanding what she meant by that.

"Thomas likes Edwina and is probably trying to woo her. I was worried that you were too interested in Edwina to set them up."

As she said this, Eloise stared intently at his face, afraid to miss the slightest change in his expression.

Edgar thought he had heard wrong, "What are you talking about, Thomas trying to woo Edwina?"

"Yeah." Eloise nodded, "Edwina's single and Thomas is single, it's fine."

"No, how can he be bothered to think about his own personal business now that Hector isn't back?" Edgar's tone was clearly a little irritated.

He didn't know what he was angry about.

Just angry, anyway.

"That's not to say that Thomas hasn't slacked off about Hector. He can't stop him when he has someone he likes so easily."

Edgar laughed, "That's what he calls not taking things seriously. If you want to talk about your feelings, you'll have to wait until Hector is back safe and sound." Eloise narrowed her eyes at him and asked tentatively, "Cousin, why are you more angry than I am as Miss Eloise?"

"Are you?" Edgar averted his eyes sheepishly, not daring to look at her.

Eloise suddenly understood.

"Cousin, you're not jealous, are you?"

"You're overthinking it." Edgar smiled unnaturally, "I told you, Edwina and I are just ordinary friends."

"So if she and Thomas got together, would you give her your blessing?"

Eloise raised an eyebrow at him.

"I..." Edgar suddenly hesitated.

Would he give her his blessing?

I don't know why a feeling came over me as soon as I heard she was with Thomas.

It was a little uncomfortable.

"Will he or won't he, cousin?" Eloise was desperate to know his answer.

Not wanting to continue the conversation, Edgar got up, stroked her head and smiled, "Don't think about that, the most important thing right now is Hector." "Hector is important, but your feelings are important too." Eloise said meaningfully.

Edgar lost his smile, "Don't worry, I know my own feelings."

He stroked her head again, "I'm going upstairs."

Watching his back as he went upstairs, Eloise sighed and muttered in a small voice, "I'm afraid you don't know your own heart."

...

Thomas drove outside the mall where Edwina worked, glancing down at his watch and looking towards the entrance of the mall.

By this time, Edwina should be getting off work.

As expected, after ten minutes or so, Edwina and her colleague came out, the two of them talking and laughing, looking in a good mood. Thomas hurriedly opened the door and got out of the car, running over to her.

"Edwina."

Hearing the familiar voice, Edwina looked around and was surprised to see Thomas, "What are you doing here?"

"Came to pick you up from work."

Today Thomas was dressed in casual clothes, looking especially like a college student in his early twenties, especially with a broad smile, looking even younger. "Your friend is so nice, he came to pick you up from work?" The colleague turned his head and looked at Edwina suspiciously.

Edwina laughed dryly, "I didn't know he'd come either."

"He's not after you, is he?" Her colleague asked in a whisper in her ear.

"Think too much." Edwina gave her a good-natured look and looked to Thomas with a curved smile, "Did Miss. Eloise ask you to bring me something again?" Thomas shook his head, "No. It's me buying you dinner."

"Wow, it's really about trying to chase you."

"Don't be ridiculous." Edwina gently pinched her colleague's arm to warn her.

The colleague hurriedly jumped away, smiling and pushing Edwina in front of Thomas, "You two take your time and enjoy your dinner, I'm off."

"Eh, you ..."

Seeing her colleague leave by himself, Edwina was at a loss whether to be angry or to laugh.

"Is it inconvenient for you?" Thomas could see that she seemed unhappy.

Edwina smiled awkwardly, "No."

Thomas sighed with relief and laughed, "Then let's go."

In desperation, Edwina could only get into the car.
