Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1197: You're not welcome here
Four eyes met.
The air around them seemed to freeze, and a strange atmosphere spread out.
"Mum."
The voice that suddenly rang out woke up the two adults.
They hurriedly averted their eyes.
"What's wrong?" Edwina got up and walked towards Bonnie who was standing in the doorway of the room.
"There's a problem I can't do."
"So." Edwina turned her head to look at Edgar in the living room, thought for a moment, and said softly, "Bonnie, you do the other questions first, and then mummy will teach you later, okay?" "Okay."
Bonnie turned around and went back to her room.
At that moment, Edgar got up, "It's so late, I'll just hit and leave you guys alone."
Edwina froze, then responded, "Actually ..."
She was going to say that it was okay, but then she felt bad, and the words came to her lips but she said, "Then you take care on your way."
"Yeah." Edgar smiled and nodded.
Edwina escorted the man out the door and watched him get into the lift before returning to the house.
The moment the door closed, she couldn't help but feel a little lost inside.
She took a deep breath and walked towards Bonnie's room.
Seeing her enter, Bonnie asked suspiciously, "Uncle Edgar's gone?"
"Yeah." Edwina pulled out a chair and sat down, "Which question can't you do?"
"This question." Bonnie said pointing to a question on the paper.
Edwina looked at it, smiled and began to explain, "This is how the question should be done..."
After her explanation, Bonnie finally knew the topic and lifted his pen to write on the paper.
Edwina's mouth curved up when she saw how serious he was, but in the next second, the smile slowly faded away.
-- "I don't like her."
Edgar's voice rang in her ears.
She lifted her hand to cover her chest and her thin Edwina brows furrowed, telling herself she shouldn't expect anything, but at the sound of his words, she couldn't help but feel a little joy in her heart. "Mum, what are you laughing at?"
The sudden sound of a voice brought Edwina back to her senses and she met Bonnie's confused eyes.
"Mummy, do you like Uncle Edgar?" asked Bonnie, cocking her head and staring straight at her with clear eyes.
"Kids don't ask so many questions." Edwina scolded softly.
"Oh." Bonnie's eyes rolled up, "I actually like Uncle Edgar."
Edwina shot him a feigned displeasure, "Okay, enough about Uncle Edgar, get your homework done, it's late."
Bonnie hurriedly shut up and lowered his head to concentrate on his homework.
Edwina stroked his head and got up to go out.
Closing the door behind her, she bit her lip, even Bonnie could see what she was thinking, it seemed she had to hide her thoughts before it would be bad for others to see them.
...
Edgar came home and saw Eloise still watching TV and couldn't help but frown.
"Why aren't you in bed at this late hour?" Approaching, he asked out loud.
Eloise turned her head and leaned back helplessly on the sofa, "Couldn't sleep."
"What's wrong?" Edgar asked as he sat down beside her.
"Wondering when Earlene is coming back home."
Edgar raised an eyebrow, "It's probably just a few days."
"Cousin." Eloise quirked her head to look at him, her thin eyebrows wrinkling, "No news from the Rawlins at all?"
Edgar shook his head.
"How can there be no news at all?" Eloise wondered if Rawlins was deliberately keeping them in the dark, after all, Earlene was his sister.
Seeing her thoughts, Edgar smiled and rubbed her head, saying softly, "Rawlins wouldn't lie to us, he's also trying to get the exact time of Earlene's return."
Eloise bit her lip, "Earlene really has too much on her mind."
"We were all fooled by her in the first place." Edgar leaned back against the back of the sofa and curled his lips, "Now that I think about it, we really were too simple." "Not innocent, stupid!" Eloise said emphatically.
Edgar lost his smile, "Yes, stupid."
Eloise was silent for a moment, "Cousin, do you think Earlene will give up?"
Give up on her feelings for Hector.
"No." Edgar took a deep breath and let it out slowly, "There's no way she's going to give up since she took Hector by that means and hid the man."
"So yeah, we've got a tough fight ahead of us, so be prepared." He turned his head to look at Eloise.
Eloise nodded emotionally, "I know this, I've been mentally prepared for this for a long time. But, Hector I'm not giving up."
"Of course you can't give up, that's your husband, Solomon, Sweety's dad, and that's something no one can change." Eloise nodded, "Hmm."
Edgar got up, "Well, don't think too much about it, go upstairs early and get some rest."
"You go on up, I'll watch a bit more and then go to bed."
"Don't watch too late."
A final admonition was given before Edgar went upstairs.
...
The next day, near noon, Eloise received a strange phone call.
"Hello, this is Eloise."
"Sofía."
A familiar voice came through the receiver and Eloise's pupils flinched, "Bergerian." "It's me."
"What do you want?" Eloise questioned sternly.
Bergerian laughed softly, "I'm outside the Khan family and I came to see you."
At that, Eloise rushed out of the room and ran to the first floor terrace to see an unfamiliar car parked outside the front door. Eloise gripped her phone tightly and said in a cold, hard tone, "You're not welcome here."
"Sofía, I told you, I won't hurt you."
Wouldn't hurt her?
Eloise snorted, "You think I'd believe you?"
There was silence on the other side of the phone for a few seconds before Bergerian's voice rang out again, "Open the door." "Don't."
Bergerian narrowed his eyes slowly, a hint of displeasure flooding his eyes, his voice colder, "Sofía, there is a limit to my patience."
Eloise glanced coldly at the car at the front door, the corners of her mouth curled into a cold smile, "I'm sorry then, I don't have any patience at all." With those words, she hung up the phone straight away and strode back inside.
Feeling the air inside the car noticeably drop a few degrees, Matthew looked back at the cold-faced Bergerian and asked cautiously, "Sir, what do we do now?" Bergerian raised his eyes, the corners of his mouth curled up as his eyes went cold, "She'll say yes."
Eloise returned to her room, thinking that the car was still parked outside, what if her brother-in-law came back and ran into her?
Bergerian's personality would threaten her with her relatives.
No!
She stood up and walked quickly outside.
She would never allow anyone to hurt any of her relatives.
Brimlad sat in the car, looking a little stoned, and the man keeping an eye on her son told her that he had gone to see Edwina last night.
It seemed that nothing her son had said to her was true.
Edwina may be nice, but she is not the best person for the Khan family.
In her eyes, only Elva was good enough to be the Khan family's daughter-in-law.
Shouting -
The car came to a sudden stop and the movement brought Brimlad's senses back and she looked up ahead, "What is it?"
"Ma'am, there's a car parked in front of the door and we can't get in."
At the driver's words, Brimlad lowered the window and probed to see that there was, not surprisingly, a car parked at the door.
