Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1205: Who is that man?
Edwina accompanied Edwards on a day of walking around Kyoto, visiting almost all the famous sights.
"Edwina, thank you really for today."
Edwards drove Edwina home, and as soon as the car stopped at the entrance of the district, he immediately turned his head to thank Edwina. Edwina just smiled lightly, "You're welcome."
With those words, she opened the door to get out of the car.
"Edwina," Edwards suddenly grabbed her wrist.
Edwina turned around and looked at him suspiciously, "What else?"
"Edwina, you know my relationship with your sister..." Edwards paused, looking hesitant, as if he had something to say.
"Mr. Edwards, if you have something to say, just say it."
Edwards looked into her clear eyes and his heart felt a little uncomfortable.
He should never have agreed to Elva's pursuit of Edwina, he just had the same kind of feelings for Edwina that a brother has for his sister, not at all between a man and a woman. If he pursued her, it would feel like he was cheating on her and playing with her.
Seeing that he still didn't say anything, Edwina couldn't help but smile, "Mr. Edwards, what is it that is so difficult for you to say?"
Edwards struggled internally and finally opened his mouth, "Edwina, I want to take care of you for your sister."
"Hmm?" Edwina didn't understand what he meant.
"Your sister is no longer here, and it's hard for you to bring up the baby alone, I'm willing to take on the responsibility for you."
When he said that, Edwina understood, "If I heard you correctly, you want me to stay with you?"
Edwards nodded, "Well, would you like to?"
His expression dripped with a hint of caution and Edwina pursed her lips, "Mr. Edwards, thank you for your kind words, but I don't want to talk about feelings right now." More importantly, she already had someone in her heart.
Hearing her say that, Edwards was instantly relieved, he turned his head, looked ahead and smiled out.
At this smile, Edwina became a little worried, "Mr. Edwards, are you okay?"
"Yes." Edwards turned his head, his eyes gleaming as he looked at her with a gentle, light smile, "I'll still take good care of you for your sister, but as an older brother." Having lived on her own with a child for several years, she had suffered everything.
Suddenly someone said he would take care of her, and the emotion immediately flooded her heart, her nose couldn't help but sink, she hurriedly looked away and grinned, "Thank you, Mr. Edwards." "You don't have to be so polite with me." Edwards rubbed her head, "Go on home, it's late."
Edwina sniffled, "Okay, you take care on your way back."
"Yeah."
Edwards watched her get out of the car and then watched her walk into the neighbourhood before starting the car and leaving.
Neither of them noticed a car parked not far away, with Edgar in it looking straight at them.
Edgar had come to see Edwina to ask her to take time to go out with Eloise over the next two days, to avoid Eloise trying to block Earlene at the airport herself.
But he didn't expect to see a scene like that.
He had always thought that Edwina was close to Thomas, but he had never expected another man.
And it looked quite intimate.
Was that her boyfriend?
If so, why was she still close to Thomas and even letting him into her house at night?
Had he misjudged him?
In fact, she was simply a disturbed woman who liked to be unclear and play around with men.
The thought of it gave him a pang of irritation and a little anger.
No.
Must replace her and ask for clarification.
...
Edwina went to get the delivery first before slowly walking towards the building where she lived.
She had just walked into the lobby when she was suddenly grabbed by the wrist.
Startled, she screamed and turned her head quickly, and couldn't help but smile as the familiar handsome face fell into her eyes.
"Mr. Edgar, how come it's you?"
Edgar didn't say anything, just stared straight at her.
It was then that Edwina realised that he was different from before, his face was serious, his lips were pursed, and even his eyes, which were always full of smiles, were filled with a chill. She slowly withdrew her smile, "What's wrong?"
"Who is that man?" Edgar finally spoke, but in a cold, hard tone, laced with a hint of questioning.
"Who?"
He asked without a head, and Edwina didn't respond for a moment.
"Who sent you back?"
Edwina realised, "You mean Mr. Edwards?"
"Mr. Edwards?"
This name made Edgar uncomfortable, she called Thomas "Mr. Thomas", she called him "Mr. Edgar", and now there was "Mr. Edwards". Edwards".
How many big brothers does she have?
"Well, he's a former friend of my sister's."
Her sister's friend?
Edgar slowly calmed down.
Seeing his face improve, Edwina asked with concern, "Is something wrong with you?"
"Nothing."
Edgar suddenly felt weak when he met her concerned gaze.
He was no one to her, so who was he to question her about her relationship with someone else.
"Is it really all right?" Edwina was still unsure.
Edgar finally broke into a smile and said softly, "It's really fine. It's you, why are you back so late?"
"Mr. Edwards asked me to show him around Kyoto, so I came back late."
Speaking of this, Edwina bit her lip and whispered, "Actually Mr. Edwards is still Miss. Elva's brother."
"Hmm? What did you say?" Edgar thought he had heard wrong.
"I said, he's ElvaMiss. Elva's brother, haven't you met him?" Edwina looked at him suspiciously.
Didn't it make sense that he was going to be engaged to Miss. Elva? Shouldn't they have all met each other's families? "Never met."
Not only had he not met them, he wasn't interested in meeting them either.
Edwina was a little surprised, "You ..."
She wanted to say he hadn't met Edwards, but swallowed her words with a soft "oh".
Whether he had met the Boone Family or not, it was none of her business.
Both of them were silent.
It was only after a while that Edgar spoke, "Are you free in the next couple of days?"
"What's wrong?" Edwina asked instead of answering.
"I'd like to ask you a favour."
Edwina nodded, "Go ahead."
"Can you ask Eloise to hang out when you're free in the next couple of days?"
"What's wrong with Eloise?"
Once she heard it was such a busy time, Edwina couldn't help but worry about Eloise.
"She's fine, I just want you to take a walk with her." Edgar didn't tell her the truth for fear that she might accidentally blurt it out.
"I can take time off."
The implication was that she agreed.
"Please." Edgar pondered for a moment and continued, "Just replace any reason to get her out to keep you company."
At this request of his, Edwina was confused in her mind, but still did not ask more questions.
"Okay."
He must have had his reasons for making such a request, so she just had to do what he said.
Edgar smiled, "I hope you don't think I'm being pushy."
"No, I'm happy to help you. And it's still for Miss. Eloise, it's not an imposition at all."
