Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1206: Just Really Missed Hector
The next day Eloise got up early.
Edgar came home from his morning walk and was a little surprised to see her up, "Why are you up so early today?"
"I wanted to keep an eye on the airport for the next two days."
It would be a problem if the man watching the airport took a nap or drifted off and allowed Earlene to leave without incident.
She wanted to keep an eye on it herself.
"Eloise, you're not trusting me." Edgar looked bemused.
Eloise shook her head, "Cousin, it's not that. I just... just really miss Hector."
"Eloise, I know you miss Hector, but if you go to the scene, everyone will have to be distracted from protecting you in case there's a confrontation between the two sides, you know?" "I'll be good and stay in the car."
No matter how much Edgar tried to persuade her, Eloise insisted on going to the airport.
In desperation, Edgar could only agree, "Okay, then I'll arrange for a few more people to protect you."
"Thank you, cousin." Eloise was grateful.
"You protecting yourself is the biggest thank you to me." Edgar stroked her head and walked briskly upstairs.
He was outwardly promising Eloise, but in reality, still didn't want her to go to the airport.
As soon as he entered the room, he immediately contacted Edwina.
As soon as he got through, he said bluntly, "Edwina, please call Eloise now and tell her that you are in a bad mood and would like her to keep you company." "What's wrong?" Hearing the urgency in his voice, Edwina asked with concern.
"There's no way to talk to you clearly now, I'll come to you in a couple of days and I'll explain it to you."
Edwina was too embarrassed to pursue the matter after he had said so, "Okay, I'll call Miss. Eloise now."
As soon as she hung up the phone, Edwina called Eloise.
As she waited for the call to be answered, Edwina thought about how to show that she was in a bad mood.
"Edwina."
The voice that suddenly rang out startled Edwina, and it was then that she realised the call was connected and hurriedly spoke, "Miss. Eloise."
"Is there something wrong with you calling so early?"
Edwina was silent for a few seconds before she spoke again, "Miss. Eloise, are you free today?"
"Probably not, what's wrong?" Eloise took a bite of her toast, chewing as she waited for Edwina's answer.
"I ... I've had something come up and I'm in a bad mood and I wanted to talk to you."
To make her voice sound credible, Edwina deliberately lowered her voice.
"What's wrong?" Eloise asked in a rush of concern.
"I wanted to speak to you in person."
Eloise hesitated.
She had already decided to go to the airport today, but she couldn't leave Edwina alone.
Given Edwina's personality, she would not have come to trouble her if she hadn't really run into something.
After thinking about it, Eloise decided to accompany Edwina.
Like her cousin had said, her going to the airport would probably only distract them too.
"Edwina, I'll come over to you when I finish breakfast."
Because she was silent for a while, Edwina thought she wouldn't say yes and was a little surprised to hear the result.
At the same time there was some weakness.
After all, this was a lie to her.
"Okay, I'll wait for you."
Edwina didn't dare say anything more and hurriedly hung up the phone.
She let out a long breath and muttered, "Miss. Eloise, I'm sorry now, I didn't mean to lie to you."
Hopefully, Mr. Edgar had asked her to do this from a good intention.
Otherwise, she was really sorry for Miss. Eloise.
...
Edgar changed his clothes and came downstairs. When he saw that Eloise was still eating breakfast, he mentioned in passing, "I'll take you to the airport later." "No need."
Edgar's eyebrows tightened, "You're going there on your own?"
"No." Eloise looked up and sighed, "It's Edwina, something seems to have happened to her and I need to go and see her." "She called you?"
Eloise couldn't help but lose her smile at the look of surprise on his face, "Is it weird that she called me?"
"No." He just didn't expect Edwina to move so quickly, "Do you need a lift?"
"You have to work, I'll drive there myself."
"Are you okay with that?" Her shoulder was just about right and he was afraid she wouldn't be able to drive for long.
Eloise gave a helpless smile, "Of course I can, cousin, you don't have to worry so much."
"Good, I'm not worried. You take care of yourself then."
"Mmm." Eloise nodded, "You hurry up and eat your breakfast before all the milk gets cold."
Edgar pulled out a chair and sat down, just as he picked up the milk to drink it, he saw his mother walk in.
"What were you guys talking about?" Brimlad asked curiously as he looked at the two of them.
"Auntie, there's no need to prepare my meal for lunch, I probably won't be back for it." Eloise said.
Brimlad frowned, "Where are you going?"
"Edwina says she's in a bad mood, I'm going over to check on her."
"In a bad mood?" Brimlad's frown tightened, "It won't be because of ..."
She thought about what she had said to Edwina and her eyes unconsciously glanced towards Edgar.
Edgar raised a sword brow, "Mom, what are you looking at me for?"
"Nothing." Brimlad withdrew his gaze somewhat sheepishly and turned to Eloise, "Talk to Edwina and tell her not to think too much about it." Eloise understood what she meant and curled her lips in a smile, "Yeah, I know."
Edgar looked at his mother thoughtfully, always feeling as if she was hiding something from him.
...
Edwina dropped the children off at school and went home.
As soon as Edgar left last night, she called her manager and asked for two days off in one breath.
The manager was quick to agree, and said she could take a few more days if two days weren't enough.
She declined.
The manager had always taken good care of her since she had started working in the restaurant, but she couldn't let people's care get to her. Especially as the restaurant was very busy these days.
If it wasn't for helping Edgar, there was no way she would have taken the time off.
She put her clothes in the washing machine and had just poured the washing up liquid when the doorbell rang.
She hurriedly put the washing up liquid down and jogged to the door.
When the door opened, Eloise looked at her with a smile Brimlad.
"Miss. Eloise."
Eloise looked her up and down, saw her in her apron, frowned slightly and asked with concern, "Are you all right?" "Fine. Come on in."
Eloise walked in, looked around and asked, "Bonnie's gone to school?"
Edwina returned as she took off her apron, "Well, I've only just dropped him off."
"Miss. Eloise, you sit in the living room and I'll get you a cup of coffee."
Eloise looked back at her, smiled and said "yes", walked over and sat down on the sofa in the living room.
Edwina walked quickly to the kitchen and took a few deep breaths to ease her nerves.
She was really as vain as she could be in the face of Miss Eloise's concern.
She hoped that she wouldn't reveal herself later on.
"Miss. Eloise, have some coffee."
Edwina placed her coffee cup on the table and sat down diagonally across from Eloise, her head bowed and her hands rubbed together in a slightly uncomfortable manner. Seeing this, Eloise looked at her with a tilted head and a curl of red lips, "Are you experiencing something?"
