Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1223: Blending into the Bartram family

Soon, everything went smoothly with Edgar's arrangements.

Eloise kept her head down as she followed the butler into the villa.

The housekeeper stopped and had a few of the new servants stand in a line and raised his voice, "This is where you'll be working from now on, so everyone needs to be smart and sharp, got it?" "Yes." Several of the new maids answered in unison.

The butler smiled with satisfaction, "Good, they are all very obedient."

He then walked up to the disguised Eloise and looked her up and down with a hint of inquiry in his gaze.

The prince had specifically instructed him to place this girl next to Prince Hector.

He had grown up watching the prince and could usually guess what he was thinking, but this time he really couldn't guess what the prince really meant.

After all, the girl in front of him was too ordinary, so ordinary that she would be hard to spot in a crowd.

Eloise squeezed the corner of her coat nervously, not daring to meet his eyes.

Although she had changed her face so that she could not be seen at all, she could not help but be nervous to meet his eyes for fear of being seen to be out of place.

As her eyes finally fell on her face, the butler said, "You will be responsible for looking after Prince Hector."

At that, Eloise's eyes lit up and she answered, "Yes."

At last, she could be close to Hector.

The tip of her nose sank, and she clenched her palms hard to force back her tears.

She couldn't cry or she would make the butler suspicious.

Earlene came downstairs, saw a line of people standing and approached, "Butler, what's going on here?"

At the sound of the voice, the butler immediately turned and answered truthfully, "These are the new servants the prince has hired."

Earlene glanced at the new servants and raised her eyebrows, "Are there no more servants in the house?"

"There is a shortage of staff and with the return of Miss and the addition of Prince Hector, that is why the prince has hired these new people."

Earlene nodded in understanding and turned to walk away when out of the corner of her eye she caught a glimpse of Eloise and turned on her toes towards her. "What's your name?"

Eloise timidly returned, "Elo."

Earlene's thin brows furrowed slightly, wondering what was going on, there was something very familiar about looking at her.

Especially those eyes, which she seemed to have seen somewhere before.

Suddenly, her pupils fluttered, it was Eloise.

Eloise also had the same pair of eyes, clear and clean.

A wave of disgust came over her and she turned her head, saying coldly, "This person is not wanted, let her go back."

The housekeeper was amazed at this, "Why not?"

Eloise was also flustered, she had managed to get into the Bartram family, how could she be thrown out like that? "I don't like her."

Earlene's reasoning was simple, but she didn't want anyone who looked like Eloise.

She was afraid of what Hector would think of if she saw her every day.

She had to be careful, but nothing related to Eloise should appear to Hector.

"But it was the prince himself who chose it." The butler was in some difficulty.

Earlene sneered, "Not if I say so, and he has no right to be in charge!"

No, she couldn't just stand there, something had to be done.

With a twinkle in her eye, Eloise spoke timidly, "Miss, please leave me here, I can do the work of two people by myself and I will definitely clean your house." "I'd rather hire an extra person than keep you." Earlene's attitude was very firm.

"Miss, please, please let me stay, my mother is still waiting for my salary to save her life." Eloise begged bitterly.

The housekeeper chimed in, "Miss, just keep the person, it's a real hassle to replace a suitable maid again."

Earlene glanced coldly at Eloise, "Forget it, keep her if you want."

She had gone soft after all.

Eloise was relieved to hear that she could stay, and thanked Earlene with gratitude.

"Miss, thank you, thank you."

"She can stay, but it would be best if she was placed in the kitchen, I don't want to see her all the time."

Dropping these words, Earlene went upstairs.

"Housekeeper, I ..." Eloise didn't want to go to the kitchen.

The housekeeper sighed, "Elo, I know what you want to say, but it's good enough for Miss to keep you, just do what she wants."

Eloise could only compromise, "Yes."

Eloise went to help in the kitchen, during which she sent a message to Edgar telling them that everything was going well and that they should not worry. Even though she was in the kitchen now, she would always see Hector.

The thought of Hector gave her a sudden surge of confidence.

She believed that soon she would be able to take Hector home with her.

Receiving the text message, Edgar's hanging heart finally fell back into place.

"It's done." He turned his head to look at Rupert.

Rupert sighed in relief and smiled, "Good that it's done, now we're waiting for good news from my sister-in-law."

"Why don't you go back to City J and get Thomas over here." Edgar said.

Rupert nodded, "OK, I'll go back and have Thomas come over to Kyoto."

There had been a problem with the company earlier and he had asked Thomas to go back and help.

When he heard that his brother had gone back home, Thomas was eager to go back to Kyoto, but he stopped him from doing so.

When he went back, he would let Thomas come over and he had no desire to work anyway.

...

It was Eloise's first lunch at the Bartram family.

She carried the food to the dining room and set it up, and went back to the kitchen.

It would have been possible to stay and help in the dining room.

But Earlene meant that she didn't want to see her as long as she and Hector were there.

So the housekeeper told her to stay in the kitchen and not go out.

"Elo, you mustn't go out, or I won't be able to help you when the lady gets angry." The housekeeper gave a special message. Eloise nodded meekly, "I know."

She was quick and smart, and was quite likeable.

That's why the housekeeper had given her special instructions, because he didn't want her to get kicked out.

As she watched the housekeeper leave, Eloise sighed helplessly; it didn't look like it would be that easy to see Hector.

But it didn't matter, as long as she was with the Bartram family, she would see him.

She went over to the sink and began to clean the pots and pans.

Some time later, Hardcastle walked in, muttering, "Vinegar, vinegar..."

Eloise turned her head, curious, and asked, "Hardcastle, do you want vinegar?"

"Yes, Prince Hector wants vinegar, I came in to get it for him."

Hardcastle found the vinegar and turned to go out.

Eloise took a big step forward and stopped her, smiling, "Let me take it out for you."

"You?" Hardcastle frowned, "I thought the lady didn't want to see you?"

"I'll just take a vinegar out, it shouldn't be anything. And I'd like to get to know the rest of the family." Eloise deflated, miserable.

Hardcastle had been coming to the Bartram family for years, as had the housekeeper, and spoke with some weight here.

And Earlene respected them quite a bit.

If Hardcastle agrees to let her take the vinegar out, Earlene shouldn't be too upset.

Still, Hardcastle refused.

"Never mind, for your own good, it's better if I take it out myself."

With that, he walked around Eloise and out.

Eloise hung her head in frustration, it seemed like it was really hard to see Hector for a second.
