Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1232: Are you jealous?

Edwina was subconsciously about to refuse when she heard what Edwards said, but saw the pleading look in his eyes and withdrew it.

It was just pretending to be a girlfriend for a while, it shouldn't be anything, right?

She wouldn't be seeing Elva's parents again after this.

So, she followed him to Elva's parents.

She saw Edgar and Elva standing together, looking like a couple.

She lowered her head, hiding the lassitude in her eyes, and smiled to herself.

He and Elva were the only ones in a world where she really couldn't get ahead of herself.

"Dad, Mum, this is my girlfriend."

As soon as Edwards' words were spoken, Edgar's pupils shrank slightly and he stared in surprise at Edwina beside him.

When did she become Edwards' girlfriend?

How come he didn't know?

Elva, on the other hand, had a smug look on her face.

Edwina took a deep breath and lifted her head, pretending not to see Edgar's shocked look, the corners of her mouth curved up into a just right curve as she politely introduced herself, "Uncle and auntie, I'm Edwina, Edwards' girlfriend." She had admitted it!

A nameless fire rushed to his heart and Edgar, ignoring Elva's parents, went straight up and pulled Edwina away.

"What are you doing? Are you crazy?" Edwina tried hard to break his grip.

However, there was no way she could break free, so she let him pull her away.

She looked back at Elva's parents, who were all stunned and had no idea what was going on.

Elva was furious and made to come after her, but was stopped by Edwards.

"Brother, what are you doing?" Elva was on the verge of tears when she saw Edgar walking away from them.

Edwards said lightly, "Elva, can't you see that he doesn't like you?"

"So what if he doesn't like me?" Elva's voice sharpened as she was poked, and she snorted, "Even if he doesn't like me, I won't allow him to be with that bitch!"

Edwards grimaced and scolded, "You don't talk about Edwina like that!"

"Edwina is a bitch, a bitch, a bitch!" At this point, Elva was spilling her guts like a shrew.

Slap!

Edwards raised his hand and slapped her across the face.

"I can't believe you hit me for that bitch!" Elva covered her face and stared at him in disbelief.

Growing up, not even her mum and dad had ever hit her, and today her brother hit her because of a bitch!

Edwards stared at his hand in the same disbelief.

He had actually hit his own sister.

"Edwards, how could you hit your sister?" Elva's mother scolded sternly, her heart aching as she looked at Elva's red and swollen cheek.

Elva's father sulked, his sharp gaze falling on Edwards' face, "Edwards, she's your sister, how could you do that?"

"Dad, I..." Edwards didn't think he would do it either.

Perhaps he had been angered by Elva and had lost his temper for a moment.

"Stop explaining and apologise to your sister, there are all the guests here, don't make a scene or you'll be disgracing the Khan family!"

At Elva's father's rebuke, Edwards looked at Elva apologetically, "Elva, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hit you ..."

"You're all so mean, you only bully me!" Elva cried, "That bitch bullied me, and you bullied me too!"

Bitch again!

Edwards frowned hard, "Elva, Edwina is not what you say she is, she ..."

"What's wrong with her?" Elva interrupted him coldly, "She's not a bitch, why would she want to steal Edgar from me?"

Elva's father and Elva's mother looked at each other, both of them feeling that something was not right.

"What the hell is going on here, Edwards, I thought you said it was your girlfriend. Then how come Edgar is dragging people away?" Elva's father questioned in a stern voice.

"Dad, it's not what you think. edwina and Edgar know each other too, they are very good friends. maybe Edwina was hiding something with me and Edgar wanted to pull her around to ask for clarification." Edwards' explanation did not convince Elva's parents.

Elva's mother furrowed her brow tightly, "But I don't see Edgar's reaction as simply as being just good friends."

"Mum, ask Elva if you don't believe her."

Edwards shot a wink at Elva, signalling her to cooperate with him.

But Elva turned her face away, still angry with him.

He leaned over and whispered in her ear, "If you don't want Edgar to be taken away from you, listen to me."

At that, Elva turned her head to glare at him.

He raised an eyebrow and stepped back.

It was clear from today's incident that Edgar did have his heart set on Edwina.

Elva bit her lip and said reluctantly, "What brother said is true, Edgar and that woman are good friends."

She deliberately put the word "good friend" in a strong voice.

Edwards was relieved that she had chosen to listen to him in the end.

Otherwise, if she had bitten off more than she could chew about Edwina stealing Edgar, his parents might have turned on Edwina, given how much they spoiled their daughter.

Elva's father was convinced, nodded and said, "So that's how it is. So the four of you will be able to get along well from now on."

"Yeah." A sneer spread across the corners of Elva's mouth as she stared deadpan at her brother.

Elva's mother watched her daughter quietly, taking in her expressions, and knew more or less what to expect.

"Dad, Mum, I'll go and get them both."

Edwards smiled at her parents and turned to walk away.

...

Edgar pulled Edwina out onto the balcony to the side of the hall.

"Mr. Edgar, what's wrong with you?" Edwina looked at the man with his back to her in disbelief.

Edgar let go of his hand and turned around, looking at her expressionlessly, his thin lips parted, "Since when did you become Edwards' girlfriend?"

Was that what he had dragged her here to ask her?

Edwina laughed lightly and asked back in a somewhat cold tone, "What's that got to do with you?"

"It certainly ..."

Edgar wanted to say of course it had something to do with him, but the words wouldn't come out, what position would he be in to question her?

"Mr. Edgar, aren't you afraid of Miss. Elva's anger when you do that?" Edwina suppressed the sourness in her heart and spoke indifferently.

"It's none of my business whether she's angry or not." Edgar felt baffled.

To him, Elva was just someone he knew slightly better than a stranger and didn't care if she was angry or not.

What he cared about was what her relationship with Edwards really was.

Edwina squeezed her palms together, "Isn't she your fiancée?"

"Fiancée?" Edgar got annoyed, "I told you, that was wishful thinking on my parents' part, I don't even like Elva!" Seeing her cold little face, Edgar frowned and asked uncertainly, "Are you jealous?"

Edwina was shocked and hastily denied, "No, I'm not."

Her anxious denial amused Edgar, and suddenly he calmed down and gazed at her deeply, "You are jealous." Edwina bit her lip and kept quiet, her eyes red with indignation.

So what if she was jealous? Did he care?

Seeing the mist in her eyes, Edgar reached out to take her, but she avoided him.

A sigh spilled from his lips and Edgar's helpless voice rang in her ears, "Can't you see how I feel about you?"
