Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1241: Because you're the one I love
"Forget it if you don't want to talk about it."
Hector didn't force her and turned his head to look away, the corners of his mouth curled, "Elo, have you ever trusted someone in particular for no reason?" Eloise thought for a moment, "Yes, my husband."
"I don't mean that, I mean not someone you know very well, but you somehow trust her a lot?"
"That's there too." Eloise grinned, "You."
A flash of surprise passed through his eyes and Hector looked at her bright smile as if something had brushed against his heart, creating a shallow ripple. He hurriedly withdrew his gaze and laughed softly, "I'm glad to have your trust."
"You obviously saw me last time, but you didn't tell the lady, thank you very much indeed."
Hector raised an eyebrow, "So you trust me because of that?"
"Sort of."
Actually, it's because you're the one I love that I believe you.
Eloise added silently in her mind.
"Thanks." Hector smiled.
Eloise returned the smile, she crossed her arms, thought for a moment and asked carefully, "Is something on your mind?"
Why else would he ask a question like that.
Hector looked up at the sky, the corners of his mouth curving up in a shallow curve, "I'm just a little irritated."
Eloise frowned, "What's wrong? Can you talk to me?"
Hector was silent for a few seconds before speaking slowly, "I don't know if I'm making the right choices right now, or if I'll ever think about the past..." Here, he paused, "If that day comes, will I regret the choice I'm making now."
From the tone of his voice, one could hear that he was really torn.
Eloise couldn't help but feel pain, gazing at the smooth lines of his face, her eyes rippling with tenderness as she said softly, "You can follow your heart, you don't have to force yourself to make a choice." Hector looked sideways and saw the affection in her eyes, froze, his sword brows furrowed, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
"Huh?" Eloise hurriedly withdrew her gaze and raised her hand to run a hand through the strands of hair on her cheek, saying uncomfortably, "I'm sorry, I was thinking of my husband when I looked at you." "So that's it." Hector didn't doubt it, "You and your husband have a good relationship, I assume?"
"Well, it's good. He loves me very much, and I love him very much." Eloise's face rippled with sweet happiness at the mention of it.
Somehow, looking at the happiness on her face, he felt something like he could relate to it.
Hector couldn't help but laugh, a little helplessly, it seemed that he was really possessed today.
"Prince Hector, don't dwell on it, trust your heart."
Meeting her serious eyes, Hector laughed out and nodded, "Yes, I will trust my heart."
"Right." Eloise suddenly thought of something, "Didn't you say last time that you lost sleep because you would always hear a woman crying in your ear?" "Yeah, what's wrong?"
"Have you ever thought about bringing the past back to mind?"
Asked Eloise, looking at him expectantly.
Hector frowned, "No."
Eloise's heart ached at the word 'no' and the smile on her face became a little forced, "Don't you feel sorry for your old wife?
You're gone, she must be looking for you everywhere, and you won't even think of her."
Eloise's heart was aching, she wondered what Earlene had done or said to him to make him not want to think about the past. Sensing that she was angry, Hector wondered a little, "You seem to care about it?"
"Of course I care." Eloise laughed bitterly, "Because if my husband disappeared, I'd be looking all over the world for him like crazy."
At that, her eyes couldn't help but well up and hot tears slid down the corners of her eyes.
She raised her hand and wiped it fiercely, "That was the woman you loved the most before you lost your memory, do you want to see her suffer and see her cry?" Seeing her cry made Hector's heart feel like it was clogged with cotton.
It was hard.
He reluctantly pulled at the corner of his mouth, "You're right, too. But I can't think about it."
"You'll remember." Eloise sniffled, "If you love her enough, you'll remember her."
She was sure his feelings for her were definitely not so easy to forget completely.
"Is that so?" Hector took a deep breath, "Let it be."
He stood up and turned his head to look at her, "Go back to bed early, I'm going upstairs."
Eloise said nothing more and watched him leave in silence until his figure disappeared from sight, then she looked up at the sky.
There had been a few stars, but now there were none to be seen.
Suddenly, all the emotions came over her and she could no longer control her face and cried.
It was clear that the person she loved was right next to her, but she could not say or touch anything.
How long would it take for these days to end?
Thinking back on his attitude towards the past, it seemed dispensable.
Thinking about it made me hate Earlene, it was all because she had been so selfish that she had made Hector leave her and even forget about her. No!
Earlene could not be allowed to have her way.
Eloise lifted her head and wiped away a tear, her eyes glowing with determination.
No matter what, she would make Hector remember the past!
...
Edwina thought she might not see Edgar again after the news of the union came out.
But to her surprise, she walked out of the neighbourhood early this morning and saw him.
Stopping her feet, she stood still and looked at him.
They looked at each other.
Edgar slowly approached and finally stopped in front of her, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, "Have you had breakfast?"
"Yes." Edwina suppressed all emotions and returned the question nonchalantly.
Edgar raised an eyebrow and asked again, "Do you have time for a chat?"
Edwina glanced at her phone, "I have to rush to work, I don't have time. mr Edgar, sorry."
She nodded and turned on her toes, ready to walk around him and leave.
As she walked past him, her wrist was suddenly grabbed by him.
She had to stop, but didn't turn around.
His voice rang in her ears, "Edwina, I think we need to have a talk."
Edwina laughed, a slightly bitter smile, "Mr Edgar, I don't think there is anything to talk about between us."
With that, she turned around and looked at him with an expressionless face, "We were meant to be two worlds apart, you have your life and I have mine to lead, so I hope we don't have to see each other in the future." "Is that what you really mean?" Edgar didn't believe they could even be friends anymore.
Edwina nodded, "Yes, it's from my heart."
With that, she shook off his hand and strode away.
Edgar stood still, not chasing after her, letting her walk further and further away until she was out of sight.
