Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1245: Waiting for your good news

Back in the front room, Earlene glanced sideways at Rawlins behind her and spoke in a light tone, "Have you started preparing for the wedding yet?" Rawlins' eyes swiftly glanced at a hint of imperceptible emotion, and his thin lips lightly parted, "I've asked my assistant to prepare."

"Assistants?" Earlene turned around, displeasure written all over her face, "You're leaving such an important matter to an assistant?" "You can do it yourself if you're not satisfied."

It had been cruel to him to ask him to prepare for her and Hector's wedding, did he have to do it himself?

His heart wasn't that big.

"You!" Earlene was so angry she couldn't speak for a moment.

Rawlins' mouth curled up in a sneer, "Earlene, he's already married and has children. This marriage, you need to be careful." Bringing up Hector's past was a reminder to Earlene that what she had now was stolen.

She lifted her chin and said arrogantly, "It's my own business, it's not for you to bother."

"In that case, you prepare your own wedding."

Rawlins gave her a deep look and lifted a step past her, ignoring her stunned expression.

"Rawlins!" shouted Earlene, annoyed.

Rawlins went up the stairs as if he hadn't heard.

When they reached the first floor, Rawlins met up with Hector.

Hector greeted him politely, "Brother."

Rawlins had mixed feelings when he saw that Hector, who had always been a spirited man, was now calling him "big brother".

In the past, he would have been proud of himself.

But now, it just felt like a blockage in his heart.

He turned his head to look downstairs and met Earlene's irritated gaze.

The corners of his mouth curled up slowly and he laughed softly, tilting his head slightly as he walked past Hector with his hands in his trouser pockets. "Hector," Earlene called out suddenly from downstairs.

It was then that Hector lifted his steps down the stairs and walked up to Earlene, asking softly, "What's wrong?"

"Have you just been there?" Earlene asked.

If you listened carefully, you could hear that she sounded a little nervous.

She was afraid he would overhear her conversation with the Rawlins.

Hector shook his head, "No, I just came out of my room."

"Oh." Earlene breathed a sigh of relief.

She took his hand and curled her lips in a smile, "Let's go get breakfast."

Hector didn't say anything, letting her pull him towards the kitchen, his eyes dark as ink, making it impossible to tell what was on his mind at the moment.

...

At noon, Eloise ate her meal and then returned to her room.

The good thing about being transferred to the backyard to help was that she had more free time.

She sat down on the edge of her bed, took out her mobile phone, found Edgar's number and dialled it.

It was quickly answered and Edgar's voice came through the receiver.

"Eloise, why are you calling me at this hour?"

"Cousin, something happened in the last couple of days and I forgot to ask you about the engagement."

Edgar automatically ignored the second half of the sentence, hearing only the first half, and hurried to follow up, "What happened to you?"

Eloise laughed lightly, "Cousin, I'm fine, don't worry. But you, what's the deal with the engagement?"

There was a few seconds of silence on the other side of the phone before Edgar spoke again, "It was my parents' decision, I didn't say yes." Eloise frowned, "You didn't say yes, but the news is out."

"I don't know why they're in such a hurry."

Edgar couldn't help but get a little annoyed at the mention of the engagement and he asked, "Is that why you called me, to ask?" "Concerned about you." Eloise laughed.

Edgar laughed too, "I think you're trying to be sarcastic."

"I didn't mean it that way." Eloise hastily denied it, then turned the conversation around and asked, "Cousin, are you free these days?" "What's wrong?"

"I'm having a hard time seeing Hector right now and I need your help."

"What's going on here?"

It made sense that she should be seeing Hector more often now that she was in the Bartram family.

Eloise told him everything that had happened in the last few days, adding at the end, "I don't even know why Earlene is so hostile to me." She was really a little frustrated.

It had been so hard to get into the Bartram family, and she had thought she would see Hector more often, but now it was hard to see him. Not to mention getting his memory back.

"Is this Earlene replaceing out something?" Edgar asked.

He couldn't really think of anything other than that possibility.

"I don't think so."

If it was replaceing something, Earlene, with her personality, would have gone out of her way to get rid of her, not just transfer her to the backyard. "How do you want me to help you?"

"Well ..." Eloise thought seriously, "You ask Earlene out for me, OK?"

At that, Edgar's eyebrows furrowed, "You're not trying to get me to chase her, are you?"

"Sort of."

Edgar sighed helplessly, "Then you're too late."

"What do you mean?" Eloise asked.

"I'm already with Edwina."

"What?" Eloise stood up in shock, "You're with Edwina, when did that happen? How come I didn't know?"

"Just the last two days."

Eloise burst out laughing, "Cousin, you've finally come to your senses."

"Yeah."

He was already with Edwina and she couldn't ask him for more help, "Fine then, I'll think of something else."

"Actually, I can help you."

Edgar suddenly said just as Eloise was about to hang up the phone.

Eloise wrinkled her brow and asked in confusion, "How can you help me?"

"Just ask Earlene out, like you said."

"Aren't you afraid Edwina will be angry?" Eloise didn't want them to get the wrong idea because of what she had done.

"I'll talk to her about it, don't worry."

"Okay, wait for your good news." She did need help now, otherwise it would be too hard.

After hanging up the phone, Eloise lay back on the bed and looked at the snowy ceiling, her thin Edwina brows furrowed; the most important thing now was to replace a way to get Hector to remember what had happened before. But what could be done?

Meanwhile, Hector returns to his room alone.

As he looks around the not-so-familiar room, his brow slowly furrows and the image of Eloise crying so hard comes to mind. Heart, Edwina ached.

He raised a hand to his chest, a hint of confusion passing over his brow.

In fact, in the morning, he had heard Rawlins' words.

Knowing that not only had he been married, but he had a child.

And that his wife, Eloise, was the one who had cried so hard at the airport.

Could a word of forgetting really erase the past?

No, I don't think so.

Suddenly, he wanted to remember the past.

Even if it would make him feel sorry for Earlene, who had saved his life.
