Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 1246: You're nice, but I don't like it
As soon as he heard that Hector had returned to China, Hector's mother kept wanting to go to Kyoto to see for herself, but was prevented by Rupert. "Mum, you can't do anything by going there now, just stay at home and wait in peace."
Hector's mother was frowning and worried, "Didn't you say that your brother had lost his memory? How long do I have to wait at home?"
"Mum." Rupert pressed her to sit down on the sofa and gently reassured her, "Don't worry, sister-in-law will bring brother home."
Hector's mother thought for a moment, still unsure, "No, I have to make a trip myself to see for myself what Hector's condition is."
Seeing that he could not persuade his mother, Rupert had no choice but to cast a look of help to his father.
Hector's father coughed softly and said, "Come on, don't make a mess of it, the boys will work it out for themselves."
"You think I'm as big-hearted as you are." Hector's mother gave him a sour look, "I'm worried that Eloise won't be able to manage on her own, so I want to go over and help." "Mum, if you go over there now, you're really just adding to your sister-in-law's mess."
Rupert thought about it and told his parents about Eloise going to work for the Bartram family as a maid.
When Hector's mother heard this, she became even more worried, "Will she be in danger? That Earlene is not a good person, if she does something to Eloise, it will be a problem." "Mum, don't worry, we have arranged for someone to protect sister-in-law."
"The kids are certainly more thoughtful than us, so don't get your head in the sand." Hector's father chimed in.
Hector's mother sighed heavily, "All right then. But make sure you tell me right away if anything happens, okay?" Rupert smiled and nodded, "Yes, I know."
Reassuring his mother, Rupert went upstairs to his room.
Aisly saw him enter and made a quick gesture of silence.
So he walked gingerly over to her.
In the cot, the baby was asleep.
Looking at the baby's baby face, Rupert's eyes were suddenly tender to the core.
"How's Mum?" Aisly asked in a whisper.
Rupert turned his head to look at her and Edwina smiled, "It's okay."
Aisly nodded.
Then Aisly pulled him out of the room and into the study before she released her voice and asked, "What's the situation with sister-in-law now?" "Sister-in-law is in the Bartram family right now, I'm not sure exactly what the situation is."
Hearing this answer, Aisly became worried, "You don't know anything, what if something happens to your sister-in-law?"
"Don't get excited yet." Rupert squeezed her shoulder and smiled reassuringly, "I mean, I know that my sister-in-law is safe now, I just don't know the details." "That's good." Aisly was slightly reassured but still worried, "I don't think we need to do something too, we can't just pin all our hopes on sister-in-law, can we?"
Rupert raised an eyebrow and asked, "What do you think we can do?"
Aisly looked serious and after a moment, her eyes suddenly lit up, "You could take Solomon and Sweety to Big Brother, maybe he'll remember something when he sees the two kids." Rupert instantly agreed, "That's a good idea."
"Think it's a workable method, so hurry up." Aisly urged him.
"I know, I'll make time to take Solomon and Sweety to Kyoto as soon as I can."
Whether this would work or not, but as long as there was a little hope, they were going to try and see.
...
On the other hand, as soon as Edgar finished his phone call, the man was just sitting down when a short knock on the door suddenly sounded. "Come in."
The door opened and Ivor walked in.
"President, Miss. Elva is here."
Elva was here?
Edgar wrinkled his brow, "What's she doing here?"
"She said she was coming to bring you lunch." Ivor replied cautiously.
"Tell her I've eaten and to go back."
With that, Edgar lowered his head to his papers.
Seeing this, Ivor could only turn around and go out, relaying his meaning to Elva.
When Elva heard this, she was immediately displeased, "What do you mean he's eaten? I don't care, I have to see him today anyway!"
She was the future president's wife, and Ivor didn't dare to anger her, so he could only smile and explain patiently, "Miss Elva, the president has really eaten, and the company is quite busy at the moment, so I'm afraid he can't spare time to accompany you."
"Who needs his company?" Elva snorted, "I just want to see him, can't I do that? And I'm not going to bother him at work."
"This..." Ivor was in a quandary.
"Never mind, I'll go in myself."
With that, Elva pushed him away and took a big step towards the president's office.
"Miss. Elva, you can't ..." Ivor rushed after her, trying to stop her, but it was too late.
Elva pushed open the door and saw Edgar sitting in the boss's chair at once and shouted delicately, "Edgar!"
Edgar looked up and saw her enter, and then Ivor behind her, and his whole face went half black.
What the hell was Ivor doing? Couldn't even stop a woman?
Feeling a strong sense of oppression, cold sweat broke out on Ivor's forehead as he hurriedly explained, "President, it was Miss. Elva who insisted on seeing you, and I didn't stop her for a while before ..." "Don't blame the assistant, it was me who wanted to see you."
Elva put the lunch box on the desk, walked around the desk to his side, pouted and said aggressively, "I just want to see my fiance, can't I?" Edgar waved his hand, gesturing for Ivor to leave. And then he got up and looked at Elva rather helplessly.
"Miss. Elva, I told you, I don't like you and I didn't agree to the marriage between the Khan family and the Boone family, I'm not your fiancé!" Elva's eyes were instantly red and she looked completely miserable, "What's wrong with me? You tell me, I can change."
"No, you're fine, but I don't like it." Edgar said ruthlessly, just not wanting to give her a shred of hope.
"If I'm nice, then why don't you like it?" Elva said with a frown of discontent, changing her aggravated look from earlier.
Edgar didn't want to say too much to her and simply said, "If you don't like it, you don't like it, there's no reason for it."
"No, you have to give me a reason!" Elva got up relentlessly, "If you don't give me a reason, then I'll take it that you've agreed to our marriage."
"Elva!" Edgar felt powerless, "How many times do I have to tell you before you understand? I don't like you, do you just want to marry someone who doesn't love you?"
"I love you, that's all." Elva had a carefree attitude, "And I'm sure you'll love me."
"No way!" Edgar blurted out.
"How is that impossible? Unless you like someone else!"
At the mention of this, Elva suddenly thought of something very important and she narrowed her eyes, asking tentatively, "Could it be that you really like that Edwina?"
