Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1248: That's my baby

Looking at Sweety crying so sadly, Hector's heart ached as if he was pierced by a sharp sword. "Sweety ..." He reached out to touch her when something suddenly flashed through his mind.

He covered his head and groaned out, "Ouch..."

Seeing this, Earlene rushed forward to help him, "Hector, what's wrong with you?"

"My head hurts." Hector crouched down in pain.

His painful appearance stunned both Sweety and Solomon, who stared blankly at the scene before them.

"Hurry up and get to the hospital." Rupert tried to help lift the man up.

Who was surprised when Earlene pushed him away, "Get out of here, he wouldn't be in this much pain if it wasn't for you!"

She glared at Rupert with hatred.

It was obvious that Hector had forgotten about the past, yet they were forcing him to think about it, completely ignoring his physical condition.

In desperation, Rupert had no choice but to take the two children and leave first.

"I want Daddy, I want Daddy..." cried Sweety as she was carried into the car by Rupert.

Her eyes were red from crying and it was very heartbreaking.

"Sweety be good, don't cry anymore." Rupert drew some tissues and wiped her face clean, softly coaxing, "Your daddy isn't feeling well now, we'll come back another day to take him home." "I don't want to, I want to take Daddy home now."

Tears once again wet Sweety's tender face.

Seeing her crying so hard, Rupert felt so bad that he could only take her into his arms and pat her back gently to soothe her.

Solomon sat quietly by the side, his head bowed and his face calm for his age.

When Sweety's mood had calmed down, Solomon asked, "Little Uncle, will my daddy never think of Sweety and me again?"

"No." Rupert stroked his head and continued, "Your daddy loves you so much, how could he ever forget you."

"But he does forget about us now." Solomon's eyes watered as he thought of the strange look on his daddy's face when he looked at him.

His daddy had really forgotten about him and Sweety.

"Have faith in your daddy, he will remember you." Rupert said with a particularly sure tone.

Solomon gave a soft "mmm" and quieted down without saying anything else.

...

On the other side of the bed, Hector was lying on his back, his eyes tightly closed, a pair of good-looking sword brows tightly furrowed.

Earlene reached out and gently stroked his brow, "Hector, if the pain is really too much for you, I'll get you a pill."

With those words, she turned to go out.

Suddenly, her wrist was grabbed.

She twisted her head slowly and Hector opened his eyes, a faint smile tugging at the corners of his mouth as he said softly, "I'm fine, I'll be fine after a little rest." Earlene cried.

She raised her hand to wipe her tears and choked out, "You scared the hell out of me."

"Don't cry, I'm really fine." Hector turned his head to look out the window, his smile slowly fading and his expression becoming grave, "Earlene, can we put our wedding on hold?" "Why?" Out of surprise, Earlene's voice rose a few notches.

"I want to get my old business sorted out first."

"I won't allow it." Earlene shook her head, "Since you've forgotten about the old days, it's none of your business."

If he really wanted to sort out the past, it was bound to involve him with Eloise then.

Maybe then the memory would be restored because of that.

She would never allow that to happen.

"Earlene," Hector turned his head, taking in the resistance on her face, and said softly, "Don't think too much about it, I just want to say goodbye to the past so that we can live our lives in peace in the future, don't we?" "But... but if you remember the old days, you'll ..."

He would hate her.

Earlene didn't dare to finish her sentence because she was really scared that something like that might happen.

She had worked so hard to get him to stay with her, and she really didn't want to lose him.

Really didn't want to!

"The wedding is on as usual!" Earlene said, "You know how Grandma is, this can't be delayed." "Earlene ..."

Hector tried to persuade her again, but she covered her mouth.

She shook her head gently, "There's no need to say anything, listen to me."

Seeing how insistent she was, Hector had to give up, he took her hand away and sighed softly, "All yours."

Earlene took his hand and said in a soft voice, "Hector, I know what you're worried about, but you've forgotten all about the past, haven't you? That would be like you were born again and you're starting to live a new life." Hector laughed softly, his smile a little helpless, "Earlene, that's my child, isn't it?"

Surely it was the child that was affecting him.

Earlene regretted not kicking Rupert out as soon as they walked through the door so that Hector wouldn't see the two children and there wouldn't be anything to follow.

When she didn't say anything, Hector continued, "Earlene, I saw Sweety crying and calling for my daddy and I felt so bad. I wanted to hug her so badly, but I was afraid to touch her."

As he said this, the corners of his eyes moistened.

It was a feeling like something that was clearly your beloved, yet it felt like it didn't belong to you.

"Hector, I understand how you feel." Earlene bit her lip, "How about when we get married, we bring the two kids to us?"

She could try to accept the two children as long as he would marry her.

When they had their own children later, I believed he would slowly stop caring so much about those two children.

"What about their mother?"

Hector's heart ached fiercely as the image of Eloise crying so hard came to mind.

Earlene laughed out, a smile laced with a bit of a sneer, "It's their mother you care about, isn't it?"

Hector furrowed his brow, "It's not what you think."

But what exactly was it?

He couldn't say.

It did, it seemed, have something to do with their mother.

"So which is it? Just because you see those two kids, you don't want to marry me, after all you're holding on to the past, you haven't gotten over that woman."

Hector laughed to himself, "How can I hold on to the past when I've already forgotten all about it?"

Earlene suddenly felt a little tired, she took a deep breath and said, "Let's call it a day, shall we?"

She only wanted to have good memories with him, not unpleasant ones mixed with others.

Seeing the weariness in her brow, Hector nodded, "Okay, I'll stop."

Earlene breathed a long sigh of relief, touched his face and whispered, "You rest for a while, I'm going out." "Mmm."

Earlene tucked him in and turned to walk out of the room.
