Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1268: I'm just jealous

Edwina turned her head to look at him and lowered her head, whispering, "I didn't expect it either."

Before she had established a relationship with Edgar, she really didn't dare to imagine that one day she would be with a man as good as Edgar. Sometimes it felt like a dream.

The grip on the steering wheel tightened as Thomas suppressed the sourness in his heart and forced out a smile, jokingly saying, "I really thought you wouldn't talk about relationships." At this, Edwina remembered what she had said to him earlier, and was inexplicably a little vain, hastily explaining, "Actually, I thought at the time that I was done with this life, but ..." Hearing the panic in her voice, Thomas laughed softly, "I don't mean to blame you. It just didn't feel like we were meant to be."

Edwina bit her lip, "I'm sure you'll meet someone better than me."

"I hope so."

Thomas looked at the road ahead of him, his eyes gradually became more frustrated, in his eyes she was the best, there was no one better than her.

Edwina unbuckled her seat belt, said 'thank you' and opened the door to get out of the car.

Looking at her slender back through the window, an inexplicable wave of emotion washed over him.

Thomas unbuckled his seatbelt, got out of the car and ran towards Edwina.

"Edwina."

At the sound of the voice, Edwina stopped and turned around.

Suddenly, her wrists were gripped tightly and with a tug, her whole body crashed into Thomas's arms.

Her eyes went wide and she began to struggle, "Mr. Thomas, let go of me."

Thomas didn't let go, instead he held her tightly.

"Edwina, let me hold you for a moment, just a moment."

His voice trembled a little, with a hint of begging.

Edwina's heart softened, she stopped struggling and quietly let him hold her.

I don't know how long it took before Thomas spoke, his voice a little hoarse, "Edwina, you must be happy."

Edwina could feel his feelings for her, and Edwina could not help but feel a sourness in her heart.

"Thank you, Mr. Thomas."

She didn't know what she could do except to say thank you.

"What are you doing?"

A familiar voice tinged with anger suddenly rang out.

Edwina blushed and subconsciously pushed Thomas away, turning her head to follow the sound. Edgar approached, a haze covering his handsome face, his gaze coldly glaring at Thomas. "Edgar, it's not what you think ..."

Edwina tried to explain, but saw Edgar raise his hand to stop her from saying anything further. She could then only shut her mouth and look at him at a loss for words.

"Mr. Edgar, what do you think we are doing?"

Thomas looked much more calm than Edwina's nervousness, looking at Edgar with a wry smile. "She's my girlfriend."

To assert his sovereignty, Edgar took Edwina into his arms.

Thomas laughed out loud, "Mr. Edgar, I didn't expect you to be so childish even when you are in love." Childish?

How dare you call him childish, do you think he has a good temper?

Just as Edgar was about to lose his temper, Thomas said, "Mr. Edgar, treat Edwina well, she is very nice."

Edgar froze.

"I'm leaving."

Thomas waved his hand at Edwina and turned towards his car.

As he walked to the car and reached to open the door, he turned back, looking at the slender figure not far away, the corners of his mouth curving in a shallow curve. She would be happy.

...

"Edgar, actually..."

Edwina tried to open her mouth to explain, but was interrupted before she could finish.

"Let's talk about it at home."

Edgar took the lead and turned towards the cell.

He was still angry.

Edwina took a deep breath and followed quickly.

When she got home, Edwina went to the kitchen first and poured a glass of water and put it on the table in front of Edgar, squeezing out a small smile, "Drink some water first."

Edgar picked up the water and took a sip, looking askance at Edwina standing next to him out of the corner of his eye.

Seeing her hands clasped uneasily and the corners of her mouth seemingly hooked down, he lowered the quilt and lifted his head, his gaze falling on her small face where unease was clearly written on it, his thin lips flicking open, "What do you have to say?"

At this opening of his mouth, Edwina breathed a slight sigh of relief, "Yes, I have something to say."

"Then say it."

Edgar said faintly as he withdrew his gaze.

His attitude was a little cold and Edwina couldn't help but feel aggrieved, "Mr. Thomas and I are just friends, it's not what you think. I didn't think he would suddenly hug me ..."

"You knew he liked you?" Edgar turned his head to look at her.

Edwina nodded, "Yes, I know."

"Then you still let him hug you?"

The thought of what she had seen stuck in her throat like a sore thumb.

Edwina moved her lips to explain, but the last thing that came out was an "I'm sorry".

She lowered her head, aggravation flooding her heart, and her eyes turned red.

Why didn't he believe her when it was so obvious that it wasn't what he thought?

Edgar took another sip of water and turned his head to say something, only to see tears dripping down his face.

A good-looking sword brow furrowed fiercely, "Crying?"

At his question, Edwina's emotions rose at once and she raised her head, crying as she said, "I've explained and you still don't believe me, what the hell do you want me to do?" She cried like a child.

Feeling both amused and distressed, Edgar coughed softly, got up, walked over and took her into his arms.

"I don't disbelieve you."

Edwina buried her face in his arms and stifled a retort, "You did!"

A soft laugh spilled from his lips as Edgar pushed her away and took her shoulders in his hands, lowering his head and looking into her clear, bright eyes, the corners of his mouth curling. "I'm just jealous. You're my girlfriend, of course I won't allow another man to hold you"

Edwina listened quietly to his words, slowly stopping her tears, her heart fluttering with a touch of sweetness.

"So you didn't misunderstand?" Her voice was a little hoarse because she had been crying.

"No, I believe you." Edgar gazed deeply at her, his eyes rippling with tenderness.

Edwina broke into a smile.

Her bright smile caught her eyes and Edgar's heart fluttered as he lowered his head to her slightly parted lips.

Edwina's eyes widened instantly.

With a low chuckle, Edgar pressed his lips against hers, "Close your eyes."

At that, Edwina obediently closed her eyes.

An extremely lingering... An extremely lingering kiss.

Edwina felt like she was stepping on a soft cloud and her legs were a little weak.

Just when she thought she was going to suffocate, Edgar left her lips, his eyes lowered and his gaze fell on the red lips that had been kissed so deliciously.

Eyes sinking a few shades, he said softly, "You're my girlfriend, stay away from other men in future, especially Thomas."

Hearing the possessiveness in his words, Edwina only felt sweetness in her heart and nodded her head, "Mmm."
