Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1300: Uninvited

Brimlad had booked the place for dinner at a five-star hotel.

When the group arrived at the hotel, they saw Elva's family who were already waiting in the lobby.

As soon as they saw Brimlad enter, Elva's parents greeted them with Elva in tow.

"Baggott, we are here uninvited, please forgive us." Elva's father said with some embarrassment.

It was true that Brimlad had only called for Elva, but when he heard that the Rogers family was there, Elva's father couldn't resist, it was a great opportunity to meet the Rogers family, how could he miss it? So he had the cheek to come along..

Baggott must have thought it was a no-brainer, but the Rogers family didn't.

"In-laws, you guys don't mind, do you?" Baggott turned his head to ask Hector's parents.

Hector's father smiled, "Don't mind, it's a big crowd."

At that, Baggott burst out laughing, "Yes, yes, it's a crowd."

Eloise glanced sideways at Edgar, who was standing at the back of the room, and his face looked bad.

She couldn't help but sigh secretly, this was simply a case of herding her cousin, not giving him a chance to resist at all.

After all, in front of so many elders, he just couldn't show his dissatisfaction even if he had it.

Elva greeted everyone nicely, and then walked over to Edgar and took his arm. She took him by the arm.

"It's not appropriate with all these people watching." Edgar made a random excuse and pushed her hand away.

"Everyone knows that there's nothing inappropriate about it." Elva noticed everyone looking at them and shyly lowered her head and retook his arm. "Well, let's go up." Brimlad said out loud.

With that, the group trooped off towards the lift.

Eloise and Aisly walked at the end.

"So that's your cousin's fiancée?" Aisly asked in a whisper.

Eloise nodded, "Yeah."

"Pretty looking, just doesn't feel pleasant." Aisly looked to Elva who was walking ahead of her.

"You're a good judge of character." Eloise raised an eyebrow at her, then leaned in to her ear, "Bad personality when we first met, so my cousin didn't like it." "But I see your brother-in-law and sister-in-law like it."

They both looked at each other and smiled, their expressions both a little helpless.

Once inside the box, everyone sat down around the table.

Elva tried to sit next to Edgar, but Edgar was quicker, pulling Eloise over with him and giving Elva an apologetic smile.

"Sorry about that, my cousin is going to sit here."

"You!" Elva huffed, glaring at him.

Eloise was afraid that if Elva got angry and froze the atmosphere, it would be a problem.

She squeezed out a smile and asked carefully, "How about... I sit next to you?"

"No, just sit here."

Not giving her a chance to refuse, Edgar pressed her to sit down.

Seeing this, Elva could only sit next to Eloise with a huff.

"What are you doing?" Eloise asked Edgar in a whisper as she leaned closer.

Edgar gave her a sidelong glance and asked in a bland tone, "Do you want to see death?"

Eloise skimmed her lips, "I'm not trying to see death, I'm not trying to save you at all."

Edgar laughed at this, "How can you be so heartless?"

"That's Elva! What if she gets upset and tries to deal with me?"

In fact Eloise was only paying lip service, she wasn't really afraid that Elva would turn on her, but she didn't want to get involved in their affairs. "With me around, she wouldn't dare."

Edgar had said so, and Eloise couldn't complain any further, but had no choice but to accept the status quo.

It was just that the intense stare from Elva, which was so close to seeing through people, was really impossible to ignore.

Eloise could already imagine the indigestion she was sure to suffer from at this meal.

Brimlad saw Edgar pulling Eloise to himself and was about to speak up to stop it when Hector's mother spoke up.

"In-laws, do you have any recommendations for a special dish?"

Hector's mother spoke up and Brimlad had to turn his attention back to entertaining his guests, but still glanced in his son's direction every now and then. After ordering the food, the elders began to make small talk.

When someone mentioned the children, Elva's mother said, "When Edgar and Elva have children, I can help them with the kids."

Edgar, who was drinking water, choked on the words.

"There's no need to get so worked up, just get used to it." Eloise whispered coolly.

This conversation between the elders must be inseparable from marriage and children, she was used to it.

"Mum, what are you talking about?" Elva glanced shyly at Edgar, but the upturned corners of her mouth gave away what was really on her mind. Eloise raised an eyebrow, Elva couldn't wait to be pregnant with her cousin's child so she could be the rightful young grandmother of the Khan family.

"It would be better to have more than one, and we'll bring them up together." Brimlad said cheerfully.

Hector's mother took a sip from her water and spoke slowly, "I think the opposite of you.

Edgar threw her a grateful look.

"No no no." Brimlad shook his head, "Isn't having a family first and then a career?"

"Is it?" Hector's mother feigned bewilderment as she looked to Eloise, "Eloise, do you think your brother-in-law is right?"

"Ahem!" Eloise choked on her water too.

How could she have ever thought that the subject could be brought to her head as well.

"Mum, you're all right." Eloise didn't want to offend anyone.

"Men, it's all about the career." Hector's mother said.

Elva's mother frowned, "If you really thought career was important, why would you let your two sons get married so early?"

Hector's mother choked for a moment and Edgar took the lead, "Mum, that's because both Hector and Rupert are already good at their careers, I'm not even close."

If Grandpa hadn't collapsed, he still wouldn't have been able to hold his own.

Compared to Hector and Rupert, he was really much worse.

"That's true." Brimlad nodded approvingly.

At this point, Hector's father spoke up, "Whether you start a family or a business first, the most important thing is the happiness of your children. Their happiness is more important than anything else." "You're right, the happiness of the children is the most important thing." Baggott chimed in, his eyes deepening a few notches.

"I think our Elva is really blessed to have married Edgar." Elva's father said with a smile.
