Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1372: Gotta Get Out

Seeing that Earlene would not stop, the police contacted Attorney Javiero and asked him to come and convince him. As soon as she saw Lawyer Javiero, Earlene said impatiently, "I want to see Marcos!".

Lawyer Javiero looked at the policewomen standing next to him and let out a long sigh, "Miss, he won't come to see you." Earlene didn't believe it and muttered, "He's lying to me. How can he not want to come to see me? He obviously loves me very much." "Miss, will you come to your senses? He has returned to The Leoz Family and he is no longer the same Marcos as before." "No, no..." Earlene shook her head, "He has divorced Paulina and promised me he would come back to me."

Seeing her lost in thought, the Javiero Lawyer couldn't bear to tell her the truth.

But if he didn't, she would still clamor to see Marcos.

It was better to keep it short.

Attorney Javiero took a deep breath, "He and Paulina are not divorced."

The news hit Earlene like a bolt of lightning, and she stared at him in disbelief.

He told me to tell you that it was impossible for him to come see you and tell you to forget it."

"Impossible!"

Earlene reacted, springing to her feet excitedly.

But she was quickly pressed back into her chair by the policewomen on both sides.

"Impossible!" cried Earlene, "he promised me a divorce, he wouldn't lie to me, he wouldn't cheat on me."

"Calm down, the important thing now is not whether he cheated on you or not, but how you're going to get out of here."

The Javiero lawyer especially wanted her to put aside her feelings and think first about how to save herself.

Otherwise, years of jail would await him.

Perhaps his words had an effect and Earlene slowly calmed down, her head hung without saying anything.

The Javiero lawyer sighed, "I know you want to see Marcos and ask him yourself, so you must replace a way out of here." Earlene raised her head and looked at him coldly.

"Remember that officer Borrayo from the civil service? He was paid by The Leoz family a long time ago..."

Hearing this, Earlene's eyes instantly widened.

"This was all nothing but a trap from start to finish."

A trap?

Earlene suddenly laughed.

The Javiero lawyer frowned with a worried face.

She hadn't gone crazy with excitement, had she?

The whole room filled with Earlene's laughter, which sounded a little frightening.

It was a moment before Earlene's smile retreated and her face clouded over, her eyes full of spite.

"I'm coming out! I won't let them go, not even to death!"

The grim and merciless words sent a cold shiver down Lawyer Javiero's spine, but at the same time he felt relieved.

If she was willing to save herself, she should be able to leave soon.

...

Baggott and Dulce were so worried when they heard about Agustina's kidnapping that they came running all the way from Kyoto.

"Sister, are you all right?" Dulce held Agustina's hand tightly, concern written all over her face.

"I'm fine, and I'm so sorry for making you come all this way."

"We're family, don't say such unkind words." Baggott said, feigning displeasure.

Augustina laughed out loud, "It's because we're family that I'm sorry."

"It's only fair we come to see you, don't take it personally." Dulce knew it bothered her that they had to come and go.

Agustina smiled and said nothing more.

Paulina approached with two glasses of water, "Brother-in-law, brother-in-law, what are you doing here?".

"Now that your brother-in-law is no longer in charge of the company, he has plenty of time." Dulce said with a smile as she took the water from his hand.

Paulina nodded at the thought of the marriage between the two families, La familia Terrazas and La familia Boone, and asked in passing, "The union is definitely on?" At the mention of this, the smiles on Baggott's and Dulce's faces diminished a bit.

Dulce sighed softly, "Edgar passed out some time ago."

"Fainted?" Paulina and Agustina looked at her in surprise.

"Well, because Edwina snuck out with the baby and Edgar was so busy looking for someone that he passed out from so much coffee and food." "So... does it matter?" Paulina didn't think it would come to this.

"People are fine, and..." Dulce paused, "Edwina's back too."

At those words, the room fell silent.

Only after a long moment did Agustina say, "Actually, the child's happiness is the most important thing, and it doesn't matter what the right family is." Dulce nodded, "That's true. A lot has happened lately, and I've slowly let go of my obsession with forcing Edgar to marry a girl he doesn't like." Paulina laughed softly, "Auntie, if you had thought like that before, you'd probably be expecting grandchildren."

"Aren't you being sarcastic?" Dulce glared at her.

"I'm telling the truth."

Several people laughed at Paulina's words.

"Girl." Agustina laughed and shook her head.

Paulina couldn't help but laugh herself, "Tia, why don't you ask your cousin to bring Edwina to J-Town. They don't know Edwina yet anyway, my parents." Dulce thought about it, "That's a good idea you have, it would be nice for both families to eat together."

From the look on her face, she must have completely accepted Weed.

Paulina was very happy for Edwina.

...

Kyoto.

Elva couldn't get in touch with Dulce and couldn't help but feel puzzled.

Hadn't they agreed to help her?

How come she couldn't get in touch with her?

Every time she called her, she was either unavailable or busy.

Elva thought about it and felt something was wrong.

Why did Dulce give her the impression that he wasn't trying to help her?

No.

She had to ask her in person.

If she waited any longer, Edgar would be married to that slut Edwina.

So he went to the old Khan family home.

"Mistress Elva, my master and his wife have gone to J-Town and are not at home at the moment." The housekeeper's words fell on her like a bucket of cold water, instantly chilling her to the bone. Elva couldn't help but chuckle, with a smile full of derision, "You're not avoiding me, are you?". The housekeeper frowned slightly at this, "Mrs. Elva, why did you say that?"

"No reason." Elva looked around and asked, "Is Edgar home?"

"The prince has been quite busy at work lately and hasn't even come home."

"He hasn't come home?" Elva snorted, "Is he busy at work or has he gone to that slut's house?"

At the word "bitch," the butler's face changed and his tone was not as polite as before, but colder, "Mrs. Elva, please come back."

Elva knew he was giving the order to eject her, and with a sullen expression, she reprimanded in disgust, "From now on I will be the mistress of this house, so you'd better show some respect."
