Love Comes To Me
Chapter 1391: X?

The next day, Paulina had just finished her breakfast.

Esteban and Sweety suddenly ran in, one after the other.

"Mom."

Looking at the two little ones, Paulina made a surprised face, "What are you two doing here?"

"Tio Alfredo brought us here."

Sweety was on her hands and knees, trying to climb onto the bed.

Marcos grabbed her by the neck and lifted her to her feet.

"Mom's not feeling well." Marcos frowned.

Sweety's mouth dropped open and tears welled up in her eyes.

Paulina said, "Sweety, don't cry, come here and let Mommy hold you."

Sweety obediently came over to her.

Mark saw that Paulina really wanted to hug Sweety, so he went ahead and took Sweety to the bed and sat next to her.

"Then you still won't let her get up." Paulina gave her a look of contempt.

"I was afraid she'd crush you." explained Marcos.

Paulina smiled and stroked Sweety's head, "Our Sweety wouldn't, would she?".

Sweety nodded vigorously, "Well, Sweety will be very careful."

Next, she asked with concern, "Mommy, does it hurt?".

Paulina shook her head, "No, Mommy is fine."

"Mommy, if it hurts, tell Sweety, and Sweety will help you sniffle and it won't hurt."

Hearing Sweety's milky voice, Paulina was amused and her mood improved.

Paulina looked at Esteban who had not said a word.

The boy, like his father, was of the nonverbal variety, but it was evident in his eyes that he was worried about her.

"Esteban, do you want to say something?" asked Paulina.

"Mami, Tio Alfredo said they were bad guys who wanted to hurt mami, and that when I grow up I will protect mami well." Paulina smiled, "Yes, when you grow up you must protect mommy and your sister."

"Mmmmmm." Esteban nodded vigorously.

Mark looked at the three of them, and a feeling of happiness and satisfaction came over him.

But...

His expression suddenly quivered; someone was trying to ruin his happiness and peace.

This would never be allowed.

"Paulina, Esteban, Sweety stay with you, there is something else in the office I need to take care of." Marcos said.

"You guys go ahead, don't worry about me." Paulina didn't want to intrude on his work.

Not to mention she had just returned to the office and couldn't afford to fall out of favor with anyone.

"Call me if you need anything." Mark walked over to her and leaned down to give her a soft kiss on the forehead.

At this, Sweety lifted her little face, "Daddy, I want one too."

Marcos kissed her back and then turned to Esteban, "Take care of mommy and sister."

Esteban nodded with a serious look, "Yes."

Once Dad left, he was the only man left here and he was going to protect Mom and sister.

...

As soon as he left the room, Alfredo, who was waiting for him outside, immediately greeted him, "Prince, Eliazar is waiting for you to go take care of things." Marcos' eyes narrowed, "We're leaving now."

"Yes."

Instead of going back to the office, Marcos headed for the temporary base Eliazar had set up in his country.

It was on the second floor of a bar.

There was a blackboard on the stairs.

On the board was written: no strangers allowed.

In one of the rooms on the second floor, a dozen men were crouched in two rows on the floor with their hands tied behind their backs.

In front of them, Eliazar stood, his sharp eyes sweeping over each man one by one, and said, "I will let someone go if you tell me honestly who sent you."

A dozen men ducked their heads as if they had not heard him.

Eliazar winked at his men, who understood and grabbed one of them, "Tell me! Tell me who sent you or I will kill you."

The other man was expressionless, not taking the threat seriously.

His men did not know what to do, so they looked at Eliazar.

Eliazar shook his head and said in a raised voice, "I know some of you are dead soldiers who prefer not to give any information about your chiefs.

But some of you are not, and these are the ones you need to think carefully about, so as not to risk your lives for money."

At that moment, Vega pushed open the door and entered, followed by Marcos and Alfredo.

As soon as Marcos entered, the room, which had been quite spacious, became cramped and even the temperature dropped.

"Prince." Eliazar and a group of his men bowed their heads respectfully.

Marcos' face was cold, his thin lips parted, "Have you figured it out yet?".

"Not yet." Eliazar answered truthfully.

Vega frowned, "These guys are tough, it's been a night and they don't talk no matter how much you ask."

"What's going on?" Alfredo asked suspiciously.

"Some of them are dead soldiers, it's normal for them not to talk or surrender." Vega looked at the men and continued, "Luckily some aren't, but I'm afraid it will take quite a while to get the information we want out of them." "Y...

Vega spoke, reaching over and tugging on the sleeve of one of the thugs, a strange tattoo drawing came into view.

Alfredo's eyes widened, "What is this?"

Vega pulled down his sleeve, "They all come from a group called 'X'."

"X?"

Marcos frowned, he knew nothing about that 'X' in his head.

"What organization is that?" Alfredo asked the question in Marcos' head.

Vega shrugged, "I don't know."

Although he had been on missions in the country, he really didn't know much about 'X', only the existence of such an organization.

Eliazar, next to him, raised his eyebrows and said, "X' is an emerging organization on continent F."

"Continent F?" Alfredo looked at the men, "But they don't look like that, do they?"

It was clear that they all had Nordic faces and didn't look like people from continent F at all.

"At first it was people from the slums who organized themselves into criminal gangs because they couldn't eat. But a few years ago it wasn't big enough for anyone to take it seriously, and who knew that a few years would pass and it would become what it is now."

Eliazar also found out by chance when he was on an official trip to F Chau two months ago, and didn't think anything of it.

Little did he know that two months later, he would meet someone from this organization.

"So, this organization is dangerous and only recognizes money." Alfredo concluded after hearing this.

"What organization doesn't recognize money nowadays, but these people are outside the law, and if we don't catch them this time, who knows if next time they will do something even more terrifying." Vega couldn't help a wince at the thought.

Luckily the man had been caught by them, otherwise the consequences would have been truly unthinkable.

"Even without them, there are others." Marcos spoke coldly.

Having failed this time, the people behind the curtain would definitely replace another way to turn on Paulina.
