Love Comes To Me
Chapter 369: It's best if you can pry your mouth open

Seeing that Hector had eventually left, Solomon grimaced a little unhappily, "Mummy, are you not allowed to tell me Star Trek stories then?" Eloise stroked the child's head and said softly, "Can I tell you the story of the Thousand and One Nights?"

A smile appeared on Solomon's face as he heard the story of the Thousand and One Nights and he nodded heavily.

After all, being a child, he fell asleep much faster, and was only halfway through Eloise's story when he fell asleep.

Eloise tucked him in and gave him a kiss when she saw him sleeping before she went back to her room.

I don't know what happened, but from the moment Hector left the house, she had a bad feeling in her heart that something was wrong.

She looked out of the window and shivered, wondering what he was doing out so late.

Perhaps it was because her mind was not at ease that she slept restlessly, first tossing and turning, and then waking up several times after she had managed to fall asleep. When she saw herself empty at night, without Hector, she felt an unexplained emptiness.

Hector had been gone all night and Eloise had been worried all night.

What she didn't know was what a frightening night it had been for Hector and the others.

It turned out that Rupert had asked Marian to drive the car towards a less crowded area, and Marian had done so, driving straight into the suburbs.

I thought the other side would give up voluntarily because they didn't know the way, but to my surprise they were also hard-headed and didn't give up even after a long chase.

"Oh no." Marian's sultry eyes were narrowed at the moment, more than a little heartwarmingly beautiful, except that her eyes had an anxious look in them.

Rupert followed her eyes and realised that it was a mountain that lay ahead.

And this mountain lay across the front, blocking the road directly.

In fact, originally the mountain was supposed to be set aside as a tourist area, but somehow it had been delayed, so there was only a lonely road leading up to it and nothing else to be seen. It was deserted, there were no street lights around, and outside the window was a frighteningly silent night.

Rupert said, "No, we can't do this, if we stay in the car we'll be looking for death, they'll be after us soon, we'll have to abandon the car and go into the mountains and use the terrain to our advantage."

Of course Marian had no problem with this, except that ... she looked at Rupert and said with some hesitation, "You've only just had your leg removed from the cast, are you sure it's okay? The doctor said ..." Rupert hurriedly interrupted her, "Don't worry about that, it's better to live than this leg, let's go." He opened the car door and went out first.

Seeing that he had gone out, Marian naturally did not lag behind and immediately followed.

After leaving the car, they were really on their own.

For fear of revealing their target, they didn't even dare to turn on the torch on their mobile phones, so they could only feel their way slowly.

Rupert was afraid that Marian wouldn't be able to walk well, so he reached out his hand to hold her, but Marian laughed lightly and said, "Mr Rupert, you can walk by yourself, I'll be right behind you."

It turned out that Marian was afraid of his legs, so she walked behind him, but to his surprise, he misunderstood.

Just as the two of them hadn't gone far out, the car had arrived and turned on its high beam directly, illuminating them both for a moment.

The two men also rushed out of the car in a rush and then rushed over with their lights on.

The two of them could not get far with the lights on, but now the arrow was on the string and they had to fight face to face.

The other men were armed, and they walked up the hill and searched the area, fearing that they had missed any corner.

Rupert and Marian looked at each other and realised what they were doing, so they rushed up and prepared to fight.

But the other side was armed and they were actually at a disadvantage in the fight, but Marian was very good at fighting and was no match for the other side.

The other man, seeing that Marian was a woman, had a momentary moment of levity and seemed to be disdainful as he came straight at her with a stick.

Marian laughed coldly and caught her opponent's weakness with a flurry of punches and kicks, making the weapon she was carrying ineffective and momentarily lagging behind her.

Rupert on this side was also good, and even though he was a bit out of energy due to his leg injury, he did a good job of avoiding his weak point and putting the main thrust of his attack directly into his hands, not giving his opponent a chance to catch his breath at all.

They were armed, whereas these two men were only fighting with their bare bodies. If they delayed, the only ones who would suffer would be themselves, and they could only seize the other's weaknesses and attack quickly. After about half an hour or so, they finally managed to beat the two men they were following to the ground.

Marian looked coldly at the man kneeling on the ground and said disdainfully, "That's all you can do with a weapon."

No sooner had she said that than Rupert stood up and slowly spat out a mouthful of blood, he had just been careless in the fight and had actually been injured when his opponent had taken a swing and was directly injured. Marian saw that he hadn't recovered from his old wound and added a new one, so he said, "Are you all right? Are you all right?"

Rupert waved his hand, "No, it's just a small wound. What should we do with these two?"

She didn't know the details of the two men she was following, only that they had come from abroad and she didn't know the details.

At that moment, there was another light from a car, and it flashed twice, so Rupert shouted, "Brother, we're here."

He took a quick glance at the two men on the ground and knew exactly who they were. He ordered the assistant at his side, "Tie them up and take them away.

The assistant complied and took the two bodyguards with him and took them away.

Rupert felt a sense of survival and said, "Finally, it's over."

Marian, however, spoke up at the right time, "President, Mr Rupert is injured, hurry up and take him to the hospital."

When he heard that Rupert was injured, Hector froze for a moment and said, "What's wrong?"

Rupert waved his hand, "It's a minor injury, it's nothing."

Hector, however, did not quite believe it and was busy saying, "Get in the car, I'll take you to the hospital."
