Love Comes To Me
Chapter 370: I know I'm not good enough for him either

Aisly was working the night shift tonight and was startled straight awake when she was suddenly notified of an emergency patient coming in as she was drifting off to sleep. When she arrived at the emergency room, she saw a face she knew well, none other than Rupert.

Seeing him again, Aisly was a little bemused. He had just had his cast removed today, why was he coming in again, taking his life for granted? While tending to him, she asked, "How did you ... get back so soon?"

Rupert sniffed and shook his head, sighing, "I didn't want to, who told me to be a hero and save the day, I had no choice but to come in again." Hearing the words from his mouth and looking at Marian standing off to the side, Aisly's heart felt bad.

I guess he had been hurt to save her.

With her heart in her hands, Aisly's technique became inaccurate, and when she gave Rupert the injection, she couldn't replace the right spot again.

Rupert cried out in pain and Marian frowned, pulling Aisly's arm away from him and asking, "Can you do that? Can't you see he's in pain!" Marian was already a specially trained person, his aura was already a bit appalling, and his tone was so brutal that it really scared Aisly. Aisly didn't know what to do and froze in her tracks.

Aisly had never seen such a fierce person before, she may be beautiful, but she was so intimidating.

Seeing Aisly's frightened look, Rupert was a little distressed, so he endured the pain in his body and said soothingly, "Marian, you're scaring her, it's okay with me, just let her do it." Marian sniffed and scattered Aisly, standing aside and not speaking.

"Go on." Rupert said softly as he looked at Aisly.

At the sound of Rupert's voice, Aisly came back to her senses and continued her work.

The doctor came in at that moment and checked Rupert's injuries, before going out to study how to treat him, leaving the three of them alone in the room.

Aisly was a little uncomfortable under Marian's strong presence, not daring to look at her for fear of angering the Buddha.

Rupert was a little sleepy and drowsy from the anti-inflammatory injection he had just received when the door to the ward opened and Hector walked in.

Marian's eyes immediately softened at the sight of Hector, and his aura was much more restrained.

"Prince, is there anything going on?"

"No, you will leave with me in a moment."

Hector's attitude was a little cold, which made Marian a little uncomfortable.

Upon entering the ward, Hector first glanced at Rupert on the bed, then turned his head and asked, "How is Rupert's condition?"

Aisly sniffed, "He's on an anti-inflammatory injection and will probably sleep for a while, the condition of his injured leg is not very serious and will be treated conservatively."

Hector was relieved to hear that Rupert's condition was not serious, with this little nurse around to look after him, there was nothing for him to worry about.

After making sure that nothing was wrong, Hector looked at Aisly and said, "In that case, Rupert is in your hands, Miss Aisly, if you need anything, just ask me, here's my number." He handed Aisly a business card.

Aisly was a little flattered but a little confused as to why she was handing him over. Was there no one else in the Rogers family?

But looking at the sincerity on Hector's face, she didn't refuse and agreed straight away.

When Marian heard that Hector's attitude towards a little nurse was much softer than his own, he became a little angry and looked at Aisly with a lot more hostility.

As she left, Marian stared coldly at Aisly's back and left with Hector after a while.

At that moment Aisly was checking Rupert's temperature when she felt a slight chill behind her and looked back to replace that Marian had left.

Without Marian's pressure, Aisly dares to relax.

Glancing at Rupert on the hospital bed, she said without good grace, "It's all your fault, otherwise why would that woman be mean to me, I won't steal from you that's all, and I know I'm not good enough for him ..." The last sentence was so small that only Aisly herself could hear it.

"Rob? Rob what?"

Rupert's voice suddenly came out, scaring Aisly into a yelp.

When she saw Rupert's smiling face, Aisly wanted to strangle him, for at this moment, this man was still thinking of scaring himself.

In fact, Rupert had already been awake when Hector had arrived, but if he had opened his eyes at that moment, Hector would have scolded him again, so it was better to close them and pretend to sleep.

But then he heard the little nurse's words, and it seemed that she had misunderstood his relationship with Marian, so was she jealous? Rupert couldn't help but want to flirt with her.

When Aisly didn't answer, Rupert asked, "Tell me, what are you trying to steal from her?"

"Nothing! It's time for you to change your medication, I'll go and get it." And with that he fled.

Rupert lay on the bed and smiled at her running back, she was kind of cute in this way.

On the other hand Hector and Marian left and went straight to the suburbs, when the car pulled up to a broken down house it stopped and the man inside saw Hector come down and came out with a dishonoured face. "Prince, those two are dead."

Hector didn't expect this to happen and frowned inquiringly, "What happened? I thought they were tied up?"

The assistant replied with great difficulty, "They seem to be dead soldiers of some organisation, we have trapped their hands and feet, but they should have had poison hidden in their mouths and before we could interrogate them, they were already bleeding from their seventh organ."

Hector sniffed and went inside, followed by Marian.

The two men were strapped to chairs, their eyes rounded in a somewhat frightening manner.

Marian went up to them and took a look at their mouths, then returned to Hector and whispered, "Prince, the poison these two have is a new type of poison, I'm afraid they are not from a normal organisation."

Hector's expression was serious, it seemed these people were still not dead.

He looked at Marian and ordered, "Tell Hall and Ramm to rendezvous back home immediately, no need to worry about them abroad."

Marian was ordered to leave and looking at the two bodies on the ground, Hector waved his hand and his assistant immediately went to deal with them.

"Keep a close eye on the North Side during this period, report any movement immediately, and send more men to protect the wife and Solomon."

Hector ordered with some unease, and the assistant took orders.

It wasn't just the gangsters who were watching Chip now, there must be a lot of so-called righteous organisations as well, just in case they extended their clutches to those around him.
