Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 420: Confusion
Seeing that the crazy woman had been subdued, Rupert couldn't help but shout angrily, "What are you guys still standing around for! Hurry up and get over here to save her!" At that moment, the doctors and security guards swarmed up as if they had come to their senses and pulled the man up.
If they had delayed any longer, it would have been more than just Eloise.
In the middle, Aisly was in a state of disarray, her face pale as she tried to pull Eloise along while supporting Rupert.
When Eloise regained contact with the ground, she was so weak that she almost fell to the ground, but Hector arrived just in time to hold her tightly in his arms.
Hector's strength was so strong that it was as if he was trying to embed her in his body.
His hands trembled slightly, God knows how scared he was just then, seeing Eloise hanging there in mid-air, his heart hanging in the air.
But fortunately, God was kind to him and did not take his Eloise away from him.
The petite figure in his arms was cold, beads of sweat on her forehead dampened her sideburns and her lips were a little purple.
Hector pulled his jacket over her body and held her small hands tightly in his, hoping to lessen the fear in her heart.
Once Eloise's body temperature had eased, Hector carried her downstairs.
After a series of tests, the doctor said, "Miss Eloise is fine, apart from the shock, and will be fine for a few days."
Hector was relieved to see that Eloise's face had recovered.
Once outside the office, Hector helped Eloise to sit down on a bench in the corridor, knelt down, took off her shoes and socks and placed her little feet in his arms to keep her warm. He took out a hot water bag that he had found somewhere and placed it in Eloise's hand.
After a while, Eloise felt much warmer and stronger in her feet and couldn't help but think of Aisly.
It was Aisly who had pulled her to her feet when her life was on the line, otherwise she might not be here anymore. She looked at Hector and said, "Hector let's go and see Aisly, it's a good thing she was there, otherwise I might ..." She didn't say the rest of the words, and Hector understood what she meant and nodded compassionately. After asking the doctor about her, they found out that she was in Rupert's ward, so they walked over there together. They pushed the door open to replace Rupert sitting on the bed with a grim face, while Aisly was busy with her work.
When Eloise saw Aisly, she took her hand and said gratefully, "Aisly, thank you for saving me, I really don't know how to thank you."
Aisly sniffed and waved her hand, a little embarrassed.
"Sister Eloise, you don't need to thank me, it's all I should do, the situation just now was so urgent that I didn't even have time to react. But it's good that you're okay, otherwise I would definitely not forgive myself."
"Miss Aisly, if there's anything you need in the future, just ask, here's my personal card."
With that, Hector pulled a card out of his pocket and handed it to Aisly.
Aisly said, "Mr Hector, you don't have to do that, I saved Eloise willingly and I don't want anything in return."
The look in Aisly's eyes revealed a strong sense of true love, and Eloise was touched.
There were very few girls like her nowadays.
Seeing her like this, Hector said nothing more, even though she asked for nothing, but he would take this kindness to heart.
Remembering that Rupert had been there, Hector turned to her and asked, "Are you all right?"
"Yeah." Rupert replied with a stinky face.
His attitude caused some confusion among the others present, how he still looked unhappy when people were rescued, but no one said much.
"Then you should stay here and get well, your sister-in-law and I will go back first."
Hector took Eloise by the shoulders with the intention of leaving.
Before leaving the door, Eloise took Aisly's hand and admonished, "Aisly, Rupert is still asking you to work hard. Don't take whatever he says seriously, I'll ask you out for dinner one day." "Don't worry, Sister Eloise, I won't take a patient seriously." Aisly said with a smile.
Seeing them off, Aisly returned to the ward.
Seeing that Rupert still had a stinky look on his face, he spoke out, "Hey, it's time to change the medication."
Rupert said angrily, "You know how to change medication? What the fuck were you doing? You jumped on me like that! If I hadn't stopped you, do you know how serious the consequences would have been?" Faced with the sudden scolding, Aisly felt a little aggrieved and even more baffled.
"It was such an emergency, did you want me to watch Eloise fall? I couldn't do that, what are you snapping at me for no reason."
Aisly had thought that she had done the right thing and that Rupert should compliment her.
But instead, she was scolded, and her heart sank even lower.
Now it was her own fault; she did have a personal relationship with Sister Eloise, but she was also a healer.
No matter who was in danger at the time, she would not have hesitated to step in.
Turning her back on him, she stopped talking.
When Aisly disliked him back, Rupert felt that he was not justified in losing his temper, after all, she had been kind, not to mention saving his sister-in-law's life.
Looking at Aisly's back, he knew that he had gone too far, and that a scolding for no reason would have been too much for anyone.
But pride got the better of him and he wouldn't bow down, so he just kept his neck shut.
The room was extremely quiet for a while, and no one made a sound to break it.
Did he want Aisly to apologise to him? After all, she hadn't done anything wrong.
Aisly thought about what he had just said to her, and now she was even more angry at him for being so unpredictable.
On the other hand, Hector had taken Eloise out and was just about to go home when he saw his assistant walking over.
"President, the aftermath has been dealt with, no word will get out about today's incident, that perpetrator is now staying at the police station, these are the information about her." The assistant said and handed a pile of documents to Hector.
Hector flipped through them briefly and learnt that the woman was not mentally ill at all.
She hadn't had a miscarriage either, everything was just a pretence on her part, presumably just to confuse the public.
Eloise had also seen the information and she was puzzled.
This woman and she hadn't even crossed paths, so why did she have to put herself in harm's way?
