Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 434: Daddy, make an effort
Hector's mother took Eloise's hand with great relief, and her face was all smiles of satisfaction.
Eloise was so kind, it was good that Hector had married her.
At that moment, Hector came back from seeing off the people he had just met.
Seeing them all sitting together, he smiled and asked, "What are you talking about?"
He sat down next to Eloise and took some fruit to eat.
He had just had a lot to drink and his mouth was now feeling dry.
Rupert was busy chiming in, "Talking about you having a second child, sister-in-law said ah, to ask Solomon's opinion before deciding." At this, Hector's eyes were filled with tenderness.
I have no regrets in this life when I have a wife like this.
"As long as Eloise is willing, I don't care how many children we have."
In front of all these people and suddenly being looked at by Hector with such affection, Eloise could not help but feel shy.
She gently pinched Hector's narrow waist.
The people in the room laughed at Eloise's little gesture, but did not say anything.
Seeing their sweet interaction, Hector's mother exclaimed, "I finally know why Hector is the only one who likes Eloise."
In response to Hector's mother's sentiments, Hector's father was on the sidelines.
"Wife, do you think what you feared before has happened?" If you lose such a nice girl like Eloise, I'll see if you cry." Hector's mother's face reddened slightly as she feigned anger and scolded, "You're the one who talks too much."
In fact, even though Hector and Eloise were licensed, Hector's mother was still a little relieved. Eloise's past was also a problem for her, but after today, she understood Eloise completely.
She will truly see her as her own daughter, a true Rogers family member.
The old couple bickered and the few people present were happy to watch.
Such a happy and harmonious atmosphere is what a family should be like.
Suddenly, Hector's mother seemed to have thought of something and became a bit depressed.
This caused a few people to wonder.
"Mum, what's wrong with you?" Rupert asked out loud.
"Solomon has been held in our hearts and spoiled like a baby since he was a child, I really don't know if it would affect him if he knew we wanted another child." At Hector's mother's words, the others were silenced.
It was true, Solomon had never had any complaints and with two children there was bound to be competition for favour.
Not to mention the fact that he was already very attached to Eloise, and another child would be too much for him to handle.
After a long moment, Eloise smiled and said, "It's okay, Solomon is a treasure to us all and a good boy, I love him more than anything, even if we don't have him."
At her words, Hector's mother was touched that she could treat a child she had no blood ties to as her own.
And to be willing to give up having her own child for Solomon would have been more than any human being could do.
It was certainly a denial of Eloise's right to be a mother.
Hector's mother gratefully took Eloise's hand and said, "Eloise, this is really a commission for you."
But just then, Solomon came bouncing down the stairs and jumped right into Eloise's arms.
"Mummy, I don't agree! I want to be a big brother and you'll give me a little sister, and preferably a little brother, so I'll look good when I get out!"
"Come on, Mummy, I want a brother and a sister, it's so boring to be alone."
Solomon's words came as a shock to the few people present.
After all their thoughts, Solomon didn't care.
However, Hector's mother was still a little uneasy and she asked tentatively, "So Solomon, aren't you afraid that when your siblings are born, they will compete with you for favour with your mother? You won't be able to cling to your mum all the time, will you be okay with that?"
Solomon's eyes fluttered as he shook his head and spoke like a little adult, "What's the point, besides, when they're born, I'll be a big brother and I'm supposed to look after them. I like whatever Mummy gives birth to, younger brothers and sisters are fine, and I will love them well."
In fact, just now at the stairs, Solomon had taken in all the adults' words.
Even though he was still a child, he knew that biological ones were different from his own, and he didn't want his mummy to give up anything for him; he wanted her to be happy.
When Eloise heard Solomon's words, she couldn't hold back her tears and hugged Solomon tightly in her arms, saying softly, "Solomon, don't worry, even if you have a younger sibling. Even if you have a brother and sister, your love for you will only increase, you are also a good baby to Mummy, how can Mummy not like you?"
Now Hector's mother's heart was firmly in her stomach, it seemed that Solomon knew more than they had thought.
"Then you'll have to ask your daddy to work harder in the future so that your younger siblings can be born soon." Hector's mother teased with a smile.
"Yes, then daddy, hurry up and work hard, I can't wait." Solomon echoed unsurely.
At this point Eloise's face burst into a blush that was comparable to a ripe tomato.
How could she say something like that in front of Solomon?
Seeing Eloise's blush made Hector feel good.
He put his arm around Eloise's shoulders and said seriously, "Don't worry Mum, I'll do my best and make sure I finish the job."
As soon as the words were out of her mouth, Eloise gave Hector an unpleasant glare.
It was amazing that the man was so serious in his reply.
Eloise's reaction caused a few people to laugh and Hector's mother teased, "Eloise is still so thin-skinned, Hector has promised me, you should do your best too, I'll give you some more soup to nourish your body in the next few days." "Mom... you too..."
Eloise buried her head in Hector's arms in embarrassment when she saw Hector's mother say that. Rupert couldn't help but laugh at the scene too, but then Aisly's face suddenly came into his mind.
He shook his head in horror. What was wrong with him that he kept coming back to her face?
He couldn't really be in love with her, could he? ...
This was nothing like his ideal!
Rupert had also imagined that his other half would be a fairy with long, flowing hair who didn't eat the world.
Aisly doesn't fit in with this type at all.
But when he thought of how silly she usually was, Rupert's mouth turned into a smile.
She seemed quite cute in a silly way.
"Well, it's quite late now, so you've all had a long night, so go and get some rest." Hector's father persuaded as he got up.
"Well, then Mum and Dad we'll go up first."
Hector said and dragged Eloise upstairs.
Solomon was about to cling to Eloise when Hector's mother cut him off and whispered something in his ear, so Solomon covered his mouth and sniggered and dutifully went to his room. He wasn't going to disturb Daddy and Mummy and make him a younger sibling!
