Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 513: You shouldn't have that chance
"Hector ..."
Eloise smells a hint of something unusual and shakes Hector's arm, reminding him not to speak too sharply.
Hector's eyes softened a little as he looked down at Eloise.
He nodded at Eloise before abruptly extending his hand to Joaquin.
It's one thing to be unhappy with Joaquin's tone, but it's quite another for him to save Eloise.
When comparing the two, it is still Eloise that is more important.
Hector thanked me sincerely, "Thank you for saving my wife today, if there is anything I can do for you in the future, just ask." Wife?
Joaquin's eyes paled slightly as he scanned Eloise and Hector with a meaningful look in his eyes.
These two are quite different in personality, and they can get along?
The two stand together, clearly resembling the Big Bad Wolf and the White Rabbit, incompatible with each other.
Retracting his gaze, Joaquin reached out to return the symbolic handshake and immediately let go.
Turning to Hector, he said, "Forget about the help, let's talk for a minute?"
Hector nodded and Eloise spoke up sagely, "I'll wait for you outside."
The two walk to a secluded spot and stop.
Joaquin got right to the point and asked, "Do you have any insight into the group that's besieging Eloise?"
Hector is leaning to one side, looking very lazy.
It was a little disconcerting to hear Joaquin addressed, though.
An eyebrow was raised upwards and Joaquin was swept seemingly away.
Eloise, called quite intimately.
With a muffled grunt, he responded succinctly, "On it."
"I fought with them, and I thought it was strange that someone of that calibre would kidnap a weak woman. But when I saw you, I suddenly understood a bit why they did it." Joaquin said with intent.
Those three, who were able to injure him in close quarters, already showed that their strength was not bad.
The kidnapping of Eloise shows that some of them have a good head on their shoulders.
There is courage as well as resourcefulness, as if specially trained.
Hector's face was expressionless, how could he not hear the undercurrent in Joaquin's words.
But he doesn't bother with such people.
His eyes grew stern as he thought of the group.
The fists are clenched, green and bloodied and raised.
He looked coldly at Joaquin and said, "Whoever they are, this won't happen again."
The tone was sharp as if he was trying to crush the group.
He won't give anyone another chance to hurt Eloise!
Joaquin looked at the madness in Hector's eyes and couldn't help but frown.
Fearing that he might do something illegal, he spoke up and warned, "I don't care what you want to do, but if you get caught in my crosshairs, I will never let you off easily!" Joaquin's eyes were equally cold, and if Hector did anything to harm the world for love, he, Joaquin, would not condone it!
It's the bottom line from the bones of the police!
His thick sword brows were tinged with a bit of solemnity, and the characteristic pressure of his body was unmistakably evident. Hector straightened up and snorted contemptuously after hearing his warning.
"You can try, but you shouldn't have that chance, because I'm Hector."
He hooked up a confident smile, and his sultry tone was that of an unassailable man.
It is a proud, imperial, dignified and self-possessed look.
That uncaring demeanour, as if to say, "Just you?
No one has ever dared to stop him from doing what he wants to do!
At the sight of Hector's condescending look Joaquin's anger was instantly provoked.
However, Hector didn't even glance at him and walked straight towards Eloise.
He took his little petite wife's hand and set off.
Joaquin followed up his scorn with ignorance, and his face went straight to black with anger.
Watching their departing backs, Joaquin clenched his fists.
On the other side, Hector had long since returned to his normal demeanour.
"What were you just talking about with Officer Murray? What's taking so long?" Eloise asked curiously.
"Nothing, normal conversation between men."
Hector replied tersely, not very happy about Eloise bringing up Joaquin.
"I don't believe it." Eloise couldn't help but pout her red lips and mutter.
At the sight of her face, Hector raised three fingers in amusement and tapped her forehead in a doting manner.
Abruptly, Hector paused in his movements, as if thinking of something.
Looking at Eloise with a complicated expression, she asked, "That band-aid on Blackface's face, you helped put that on?" The tone is thick with sourness.
Eloise smiled softly at this, knowing that his jealousy was about to break, and hugged and kissed him.
"How can that be, Officer Murray put it on himself, I only did it for you."
Hector's taut jaw eased and he said proudly, "That's more like it."
Eloise smiles helplessly and lightly, reaching out to dislike Hector.
"Don't be so hostile to Officer Robles, and call him Blackface, how can I say that he is also the saviour of me and the baby."
"What's wrong with calling him Blackface when his last name is Robles?" Hector grunted.
...
Well, she was so convinced by this statement that she had to say weakly, "Then don't scream in front of people."
"Depends on my mood." Hector said slyly and coolly.
With that, the car was started.
Back home, Eloise is a little worried when she thinks that she hasn't heard from Marian.
"By the way, Hector, Marian drew the gang off by herself earlier to save me, I don't know now ..."
At this Hector spoke up and said, "Don't worry, I've asked Thomas to send someone to replace her, they should be back later."
Mrs Matriarch was on hand to hear the mystery and scrambled to ask what was wrong.
Hector gave a concise account of the situation, and a large family listened, suddenly unsettled.
At these words, Mrs Matriarch pulled Eloise over and examined her up and down, her face turning white.
"Kidnapped? Jesus, Eloise, how are you, are you hurt?"
"Mum, me and the baby are fine, a passing policeman saved me, don't worry." Eloise patted Mrs Matriarch's arm in relief.
"It's good that nothing happened, God bless, it's so hard on Eloise."
Mrs Matriarch wrapped her arms around Eloise in distress, breaking out in a cold sweat.
Mr Fletcher did not look calm when he heard this, and his cold, hard face was overlaid with anger as he ordered Hector in a deep voice.
"How can something like this happen in broad daylight! Hector, this is something you need to investigate thoroughly and not let a single thing go wrong with Eloise again!" Hector nodded, "Got it, Dad."
At this point, father and son had identical expressions, both very serious.
After dinner, Mrs Matriarch fed Eloise some more calming cinnamon soup before allowing Hector to help Eloise upstairs to rest.
Lying on the big bed, Eloise's troubled look resurfaced.
"Marian her..."
Hector placed a soft kiss on her forehead, parted her broken hair behind her ear and coaxed softly, "She'll be fine, go to sleep, wake up from a nap and she'll be back, I promise."
