Love Comes To Me
Chapter 514: Bringing people in straight away

"Hmm."

Eloise nods and falls asleep at ease.

Eloise had been in shock for the rest of the day and was a bit physically and mentally exhausted.

Within a few moments, she fell into a deep sleep.

Listening to her breathing become even and long, Hector stayed a long time longer before emerging from the bedroom.

Walking to the study, I found Marian standing in the doorway.

When he saw him, he looked flustered.

The face is also somewhat grey-headed and looks woefully out of place.

When he saw Marian, Hector's face did not ripple.

A gesture of silence was made, indicating that Marian should follow him in.

As soon as he entered the study, Marian bent over and said with a pained expression, "Prince, I'm sorry, Marian didn't protect the lady today and is willing to accept the punishment!" Lips bitten tightly, body trembling slightly.

She also came back to hear that Eloise was okay before she dared to come and see Hector.

Until then, she was terrified.

Although she drew most of the group's fire at the time, several others went after Eloise.

Fearing for Eloise's well-being, Marian was distracted and that's why the delay was so long.

If anything happens to Eloise or the baby this time, Hector will not spare her!

When he saw that Marian was also covered in colour, Hector said indifferently, "Get up, we'll settle the score later."

A heavy layer of ice lay in his eyes at this point, and he didn't immediately go after Marian.

One, Eloise was unharmed, and two, because he didn't have the heart to chastise Marian for her lack of protection. Right now, there are more important things waiting for her to do.

"You fought with that group today, you should know something useful, go and replace out where they are from." Hector commanded in a deep voice.

Marian got up at the word and sighed with relief.

Turning to Hector, he said coyly, "Don't worry, Prince, Hall is already investigating this matter."

Hector's face eased a little when he heard that Hall had gone to investigate.

Hall is calm and steady and he is always at ease.

Turning her head to Marian, she noticed that her clothes were dusty and she hadn't had time to straighten them.

The skin on the arm was also scraped and the wound was exposed to the air.

Hector waved his hand and said in a muted tone, "All right, go down and get some rest and medicate yourself."

Only then did Marian dare to look up at him and nod gently.

She knew that Hector was only acting out of concern for his subordinates, but she couldn't help but feel a ripple in her heart. Marian gave himself a dark squeeze.

After returning to his senses, he pushed out the door.

Marian's whitened fingertips pinch into her flesh as she thinks about today's events.

She stood for a moment, emotions welling up in her dark eyes.

It was a long moment before he lifted his steps and left, his form submerged in the thick darkness.

The light in the study was not extinguished until the latter part of the night.

North District comes to peace in a sea of swaying lights ...

The next day, Hall came over with a tired look on his face to debrief Hector.

He followed a tip from Marian and went to track down the group overnight.

Using most of the forces Hector had cultivated, the North District was intensively searched for traces of the group.

The group looked out of place in a place like the North District.

All are tall and rugged looking.

They are a conspicuous presence in the crowd and others can easily make an impression on them.

Hall soon had some information and surmised that the group was probably not local to the North District.

So, following these leads, I checked the entry records and soon found something.

Hector sat back in his chair, his thin lips slightly parted, "What have you found out? Who are the people behind them? What's the purpose of coming to North District?"

His long, slender fingers snapped heavily on the tabletop with a serious look.

"That hasn't been found out yet, all we know is that they came from the E side and seem to be looking for something. What the exact purpose is and why they want to kidnap Madam is also not yet known. My subordinate is incompetent, so I ask for your reprimand."

An apology appeared on Hall's face.

The group had obviously been trained to leave no trace and were good at hiding.

After realising that he had spooked the snake, he went straight into hiding.

It was too difficult to catch them in one night.

Hector's face had sunk when he heard the word E.

He instantly associated it with Catherine.

If it was a coincidence, the timing was too coincidental, why was Eloise surrounded by E's shortly after this woman arrived?

Hector shook his head and looked over at Hall.

"You don't have to collect your punishment, this information from E is important to us!"

As if he understood something, his mind raced.

Hall, aside, was confused.

Not sure what the point of this information is in the E.

After a moment of contemplation, Hector spoke, "You and Thomas have investigated Catherine before, haven't you?"

Hall nodded, the man still rang a bell with him.

Hall listened to Hector at this point and read off the information he had gathered earlier.

"Catherine, the talented young woman from E, eh? E?"

As he read, he realised something was wrong and Hall snapped into a look of dawning realisation.

"I see, you suspect that the gang is connected to Catherine?"

Hector didn't answer, didn't say yes or no.

"Did you guys replace out where Catherine lives before?" He asked Hall rhetorically.

The eyes became steepled and sharp.

It is unlikely that the group suddenly disappeared and must have set up shop in the North District.

If they were really involved with Catherine, this would be it, they would be going to Catherine's lair!

Hall frowned hard, struggling to sift through his brain for useful information, struggling to recall where Catherine had lived in the country. "Checked! I remember she lives in the upscale villa area of ... North District!"

Hector's eyes ticked up sharply at his words and his palm slapped down on the table with a loud thud.

In a cold voice, he ordered, "Take someone there immediately, and if you replace a trail, bring them in straight away without any nonsense!"

Hall naturally knew how much Hector was interested in this and didn't dare to slow down.

"Yes, Prince, I'll bring the men right over!"

After receiving orders, he immediately gathered his men.

Arriving at the entrance to the villa area, Hall nodded to two of his elite minions.

"In a moment you two will blend in with me, while the rest of you wait in place and stand by."

He was afraid that if there were too many people, they would spook the snake.

After assigning tasks, Hall and his two hands changed into the full set of clothes they had prepared and headed in the direction of the door.

Just as they reached the door, the doorman there stopped them.

"Ugh, what are you guys doing, do you have a pass?"

Hall squeezed the brim of his hat, lifted the machine in his hand and replied without changing his face, "We're from the mite removal company, and Miss Catherine from Building B has booked us to come over and help her with her house today."

The doorman looked Hall and them up and down, and said in a wooden voice, "Building B. Ah, you mean the foreign girl."

Hall nodded, "Well, that's her."
