Love Comes To Me
Chapter 708: The consequences are unthinkable

The next day, North District.

Rupert sat on the sofa, dialing Hector's personal phone, but no one answered many times and he slowly became a bit restless.

He had no choice but to call Thomas.

Thomas, who is still in the group, is puzzled when he sees Rupert's call.

Before he could answer, Rupert on the other end of the line asked impatiently, "Thomas, why can't my brother get through? Is something wrong with him?" Hector had not been heard from in the past few days, and Rupert's fears were justified.

Thomas hesitated for a few seconds and then replied, "The prince is using another number, I'll send it to Rupert later."

Rupert saw this and hastily replied, "Yes, thanks."

After hanging up the phone, Thomas sent a series of numbers a short time later.

Rupert called again, and this time it went through unimpeded.

"Hello?"

Hector's muffled voice came over the phone just as another nurse came in to give him an IV.

He had been in good shape, but he had underestimated the power of Bergerian's bullet.

The bullet's casing was slightly impregnated with toxins by Bergerian, and although it was not fatal, it did cause Hector to be hospitalised for two days.

Rupert, however, was unaware of Hector's condition and, seeing the anxious look on Hector's mother's face, said, "Brother, there's something I need to tell you. At first he would talk to Mum and the others, but now he doesn't even talk to me or Aisly.

The only people who can solve this matter now are you and your sister-in-law. If you have time, come back to see Solomon as soon as possible, the longer you delay the worse Solomon's condition may become and I'm really worried." The words fell and the air fell silent.

Hector frowned, he was too busy at the moment with Marian and Bergerian's affairs to get away, and where would he replace the time to return to see Solomon?

Even if he didn't mess with Bergerian, Bergerian was bound to strike, and it would be difficult to deal with the internal and external problems.

When Rupert saw Hector's silence, he had a feeling that he would not be able to return.

A few moments later, Hector sighed and replied, "I'm in a bit of a pickle here, if I go back home and something else happens here, the consequences will be unthinkable; you should ask Jensen to check on Solomon and try to keep him stable, I'll be back home as soon as possible."

At these words, Hector's mother stood up and grabbed the phone from Rupert's hand without saying a word.

He said, "Hector, I've raised you for so many years. If anything had happened to you, your father would have taken care of you. Now Solomon can't even eat or sleep because of you and Eloise, and he's lost a lot of weight.

We're all so worried, but you're putting work first and your son second! I've rarely been angry in most of my life, and I've never been angry at you once. I used to think you were good in every way and I didn't have to worry about you, but now you seem to have let me down!"

With that, Hector's mother hung up the phone in anger, sitting on the sofa with her chest heaving and her heart heaving with anxiety and anger.

She had pinned all her hopes on Hector, but to her surprise the reply was that she was too busy at work and didn't have time.

Solomon is her grandson and almost sees him as if he were her heart and soul.

Now that Solomon is autistic and won't talk to himself, Hector's father is putting work first.

How can this not make Hector's mother angry?

Seeing the red eyes of Hector's mother, Hector's father looked distressed.

He quickly patted Hector's mother on the back and said soothingly, "Why are you so angry with Hector's mother? It's only natural that he's too busy with his work and can't take time off. Hector has a lot to do with our company being where it is today, and as the saying goes, the greater the ability, the greater the responsibility.

If Hector could have come back to visit Solomon, he would have come back at the first opportunity, so don't let this upset you."

Hector's mother understood this, but she was too worried.

She considered Solomon to be her own flesh and blood, and she was anxious to see him go down like this, and there was nothing she could do about it.

"What do you think we should do now that Solomon is like this? Are you going to let him stay depressed and not even recognise us when the time comes? He's such a lively boy, and now ..." Hector's mother said as she shed two clear lines of tears, the red blood in her eyes very visible.

She hated to give Solomon everything she could get in the world.

If only he could get better.

As Hector's mother said this, the mood in the hall of the Rogers family became even more gloomy.

All of them had sad faces and did not know what to do next.

Just then, the door to the Rogers family home was opened.

Aisly walked in through the door.

As soon as she enters, she senses the depression in the room and looks at the people on the sofa, all of whom have gloomy looks on their faces.

She quietly walked up to Rupert and asked in a low voice, "Feng Yao, is Solomon still in a bad mood today?"

"Well, Mum has just called with Brother and is a bit angry, and still doesn't know how to bring Solomon out." Rupert replied with a depressed look on his face.

At that, it occurred to Aisly that children should like places where there were lots of little ones.

Solomon had nothing to say to them, but it would be better if he was with people his own age.

She pulled Rupert straight upstairs and knocked on Solomon's door.

"Solomon, it's my aunt, how about taking you to the amusement park today? There are lots of children there and lots of fun and good food."

...

No one responded.

Rupert was a little anxious and blurted out, "Solomon, now that your daddy and mummy are not around, you won't be able to stand it on your own if you go on like this."

At those words, Aisly shot a glare at Rupert.

The man really knew what to mention and what not to mention.

Solomon was at his most sensitive and suspicious at this stage, and Rupert's words were like adding insult to injury.

Thinking about this level, Rupert simply covered his mouth.

Aisly continued to coax, "Solomon, Auntie told you that next to the playground is the zoo, which is full of interesting animals. If you come out, we'll go to the zoo and see the giraffes, and the lions."

...

There was another silence, and just as the two men outside the door thought there was no hope, the door to Solomon's room was opened.

Only Solomon's eyes were red and he was holding the gift that Eloise had given him earlier.

It was a small ceramic doll, which they had made together.

When Rupert saw it, he could not help but feel the pain of how much he cared for Eloise.

Even when he was hurt, he was still full of Eloise.
