Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 882: No small amount
In order to get a quick response, Farabee went out of her way to bring out this identity again to pressure people.
The corners of the front desk girl's mouth couldn't help but twitch a few times.
Although Mr Hector had instructed them that no one, no matter who they were, would be allowed into the office without an appointment. But the man in front of... is Mr Hector's wife's great uncle.
It's no secret that the chairman loves his wife.
For a moment the young lady at the front desk was in a difficult position, and in the end could only smile apologetically.
"Sir, can I call and ask for you?"
Farabee was nice enough to nod this time, "OK."
Just kidding, he still remembers what Rupert said last time.
If he really wants to cooperate, he can't put up too high a front.
Relieved, the receptionist girl dialed the number of Rupert's office.
Small workers like them, who don't yet have that authority to contact Hector, have to call Thomas.
Thomas hung up the phone and went to Hector's office to ask his opinion.
In fact, the average person who doesn't have an appointment, Thomas will simply turn back.
But not Farabee, who, in any case, is Miss Eloise's great-uncle, and he wouldn't dare to take the law into his own hands. As it happens, Rupert is also in Hector's office at this time.
On hearing this, he immediately spoke up, "Brother, if you decide not to work with Farabee, then I'll go and reject him."
Even though Hector had only spoken to him briefly yesterday, he has been in business for so long that he quickly analysed the pros and cons. Farabee's project was too risky and, furthermore, he thought Hector was in the way of Eloise's relationship and was hesitant to turn it down. Who was surprised when Hector shook his head, "I'll take care of this, you go take care of the rest of the company."
With that, he got up and walked out of the office.
Inside the parlour.
Farabee sat on the sofa with a mixture of apprehension and anticipation, wondering if Hector, or Rupert for that matter, would come to see him. But he had waited for two days, and he didn't care to wait this little while longer.
Farabee froze for a few seconds when he saw Hector's figure pushing through the door, thinking that the odds were that Rupert would be the one to negotiate with him. "... Mr Hector, hello."
Farabee subconsciously wanted to call Hector's name affectionately, but after a moment's thought she felt it was inappropriate and had to change it.
"Mr Farabee, how do you do?" With a businesslike air, Hector nodded his head in greeting to Farabee and walked his long legs to sit down on the sofa opposite him. This was the first time Farabee had spoken to Hector alone.
Without Eloise by her side, Farabee clearly felt the pressure coming from Hector.
He sat there with some bounding end and said politely, "Hello, hello ..."
"I'm sorry, it's been a couple of days of business."
Hector's low voice came through, seemingly explaining why he had kept Farabee waiting for two days and still had no answer.
This also gives Farabee an illusion.
--Hector must have been so polite to him for Eloise's sake, so does that mean that the project will be a success?
"It's fine, it's fine!"
Farabee smiled and shook her head to show she didn't care, then asked tentatively, "That project, Mr Hector you see?"
Hector did not rush to answer, but placed the contract book he was holding lightly on the table.
"I've read all the content, the terms are tempting. Attractive and very profitable."
"Yes, it is."
Farabee's eyes lit up and she nodded in agreement, adding, "Of course I want such a good thing for my own family, so for this project, will you see if we can cooperate?" Hector lifted his eyes and gazed fixedly at Farabee, his gaze extremely light, but making Farabee's insides shiver.
"The SA Group, it's quite famous in Italy." Hector motionlessly steered the conversation to the SA Group, his tone unchanged, calling out his intentions.
Farabee was stunned for a few seconds when she heard the name of the company.
It seems that Hector is cautious and, perhaps, has investigated the SA group.
He was quick to pick up, "Yes, they are a large company, so, Mr Hector, rest assured there will be no mistakes."
Hector nodded slightly in response, his long legs folded idly, his voice rather light, "Mr Farabee, I'm a little curious as to how you came to be associated with the SA Group?" This question killed Farabee.
He laughed dryly and thought for a few seconds before organising his words, "Our Khan family, I'm sure Mr Hector knows a bit about it, is a big family in Kyoto. The old man is very well connected, so we've been able to contact some Italian companies and it's not difficult to reach a partnership."
Farabee's reasoning barely makes sense.
Hector raised his eyebrows gently and didn't say anything.
He was only here to set up a conversation anyway.
After a moment, he asked, "Mr Farabee, I assume you have also read this contract carefully?"
Farabee hesitates for a few seconds, then nods honestly.
"Most of these are conditions that are favourable to Party B, while Party A, SA Group, has no profit to speak of at all."
Hector doesn't beat around the bush, "Why would the other side give such an unreasonable profit?"
The question he asked could not have been more normal.
After all, there is no such thing as pie in the sky.
Farabee, however, was frozen by the question.
It had never occurred to him from the outset that Hector would ask this question; in a business world full of profit-motivated businessmen, it was usually the case that if there was enough profit to go around, one rarely delved into such questions.
But Farabee underestimated Hector.
He is the youngest person to take the helm of the Rogers Group.
"This, I, I ..."
Farabee stammered, her hands unconsciously clenched, forcing herself to calm down, "I'm sorry Mr Hector, I'm not really sure about that, as it was Arlice who went to negotiate this contract."
In the end, Farabee could only say this in a mock helpless and apologetic manner.
Hector was silent, just motionless, surveying Farabee.
With so many years in the business world, his vision and instincts are frighteningly accurate.
Intuition told him that Farabee was hiding something.
There must be something else in this that should be important to him.
"Mr Farabee, since you are not sincere in your cooperation, then please do so."
After a long silence, Hector got up from the sofa and he made a gesture of invitation to the door of the parlour.
This is an eviction order.
Farabee panicked and explained, "Mr Hector, I'm here in person, how can I say I'm not interested in working together? I waited two days at City J to hear from you and that doesn't count as good faith?" "An investment of 300 million is no small amount."
Hector looked askance at Farabee, his voice clear and cold.
"Mr Hector, listen to me, although the initial investment is quite a lot of money, once the project is completed, the profit will almost double several times!"
Farabee got anxious and busied herself with getting up and trying to convince him.
