Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 884: Here are the conditions
Farabee was pleased to hear this and quickly followed Hector's lead, walking with him into the lift.
Inside the office, Hector pressed the intercom and ordered, "Two cups of coffee."
Farabee sniffed and said, "Don't bother, Mr Hector, I'll just have some water."
Ignoring Farabee's words, Hector cut to the chase, "Mr Farabee, tell me, what are the terms of SA Group's partnership?"
Somewhat constrained by Hector's aura, Farabee gave a one-to-one account, "Their terms were for a long-term supply of western aconite, nothing beyond that."
Having said that, he looked nervously at Hector, watching his expression carefully for fear that he would refuse if he was in an unpleasant mood. Hector's brow knitted as he heard his words.
At that moment, Thomas came in with his coffee and handed a cup to Farabee first, "Mr Farabee, please enjoy."
And then, after placing another cup of coffee on Hector's table, he stepped back.
Hector, who had been silent for a moment, looked faintly at Farabee, "Well, I see."
"And has Mr Hector agreed to cooperate?" Farabee looked at Hector with nerves on edge, wanting to know what he thought.
"Mr Farabee go back and wait for my reply."
Hector takes a sip of his coffee and smiles.
The smile was faint, but it felt like it was laced with so much meaning that Farabee couldn't guess for a moment what Hector was thinking.
"Mr Farabee, please." Thomas walked up next to Farabee.
Seeing this, Farabee could not stay any longer and left with a sigh.
Hector's brow furrowed as the door closed.
This western aconite is highly poisonous and although it can be used medicinally, great care must be taken.
The slightest misstep can cost a person's life.
Most of the medicines under the SA Group are Western medicines, so why would they use such a highly poisonous herb as the western aconite?
It seems that what the SA Group is trying to do will not be simple.
"Prince, here is the itinerary for the afternoon as well as the evening."
Thomas' voice pulls Hector's thoughts back.
He glanced down at the schedule, Hector tugged at his tie with one hand and ordered, "Push off the evening, and check to see if any of the drugs currently exported by the SA Group include western aconite, or if anyone is supplying them with this herb."
"Yes, Prince."
Thomas took his orders and left, rushing off on his mission.
Later in the evening, Hector went to Almeida's and told both Almeida and Sener about the SA Group's need for western aconite.
Almeida sniffed and looked serious as she said, "Prince, we detected the presence of western aconite, albeit in small amounts, in the very germ that Miss Eloise possessed."
Upon hearing Almeida's words, Hector's face sank abruptly.
"Will that do anything to her?"
Sener stepped forward and replied, "It won't have any effect for the time being, but the western aconite is a highly poisonous substance anyhow, and there are still some disadvantages to having it in one's body for a long time." "Can it be removed?" Hector pursued.
"It's hard." Sener's face wasn't very nice.
Seeing the strong hostility in Hector's eyes, Almeida hurriedly said, "But don't worry, Prince, since it was added to this germ and is stable.
Just proves that there's still something inside the germ to restrain it, and besides Miss Eloise is allowing us time by not having much else to react to right now."
"Work on an antidote as soon as possible, I don't have that much time to wait."
With those words, Hector left the Institute.
Westfield Ouzo, SA Group, Bergerian...
What exactly is the connection between these three?
Although he already had a suspicion in mind, Hector could not be sure and did not dare to jump to a conclusion.
Driving back to the office, Hector called for Thomas, "Any progress?"
"Back to the Prince, nothing has been found out yet. But during the afternoon, Mr Farabee called again to ask if we wanted to work with him?"
Hector thought for a moment, "Cooperation is possible, but on one condition, I want to meet the head of the SA Group."
"Yes, Prince, I'm on my way to inform."
Thomas took orders and went back to his office to dial Farabee's number.
At this moment, Farabee is pacing anxiously around the hotel, unsure of Hector's attitude today.
The bell rang abruptly and Farabee was caught cold.
When he saw that it was an unfamiliar number calling, he answered with some suspicion, "Hello?"
"Hello, Mr Farabee, I am Mr Hector's assistant, your partnership project has been approved by our chairman, but on one condition." Thomas conveyed the command in a cold voice.
As soon as he heard that Hector had agreed, Farabee abruptly straightened her spine, so surprised that she didn't hear what Thomas said next.
When he returned to his senses, Thomas' official and cold voice came from the other end of the phone, "Mr Hector wants to see the head of the SA Group, here are the conditions." "The head of the SA Group ... This is easy, wait and I'll get right back to you."
As soon as he hung up, Farabee called Arlice's phone impatiently.
"Arlice, Hector he's agreed to work with us!"
When Arlice heard the news, he was stunned for a moment and asked back with extra delight, "Really? Dad, you actually made a deal with him?"
