Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 913: Aren't you afraid your wife will misunderstand you?
John rushed to the scene and almost didn't pass out when he saw the mess, his temples aching vaguely. "What the hell is going on here?!" John roared.
"Mr John..." Pierce walked over apprehensively and was kicked to the ground just as the man approached. "Rubbish!"
John's face was extremely hard as he glared at him, the anger in his eyes felt like it was going to burn someone out. "I'm sorry, Mr John, it was a mistake."
Not caring about the pain, Pierce got up on his hands and knees, bowing his head in fear and admitting his mistake.
"A bad job?" John snorted coldly, glaring at him like a sharp knife, "The herbs were all burned and you have a light sentence about a bad job?"
Pierce looked down without making a sound.
His silence irritated John even more, and he reached right up and grabbed him hard by the collar, forcing him to meet his eyes.
"Pierce, you tell me, what do we do now?" John gritted his teeth and squeezed one word out from between them.
Pierce moved his mouth as if to say something, but in the end all that came out was, "I'm sorry."
"Piece of shit!" John shook him off, not relieved, and kicked him again.
Again he fell, and where John could not see, a flash of something flashed under Pierce's eyes, too fleeting to be caught.
The police officers on the sidelines witnessed the scene and their faces changed. They all knew that John from SA Group was not a good fighter, but it was still a bit shocking to see it with their own eyes. But they quickly collected their thoughts and came forward, "Hello, Mr John."
John's cold, stern gaze swept over and his face eased slightly when he saw it was the police, but his tone was still bad, "Go ahead."
"This fire was man-made when it happened..."
Before the police could finish their sentence they were interrupted by John, "You've got the man?"
"No."
"No?" John's voice drew up a few notches, then he sneered, "Looks like you police can't either."
Several of the policemen's faces changed at the words, only to see John turn his head and order the men beside him to investigate the matter quickly.
"Go and investigate immediately, and make sure you replace the person who set the fire!"
John looked towards the burnt herbs in the warehouse, his face as gloomy as ink, a shrewd gleam in his shrewd eyes.
First the lab drugs were lost, then the warehouse herbs were burned.
But who is it that dares to go against the SA Group?
When he replaces the person, he will bury him to the ground!
"Mr John."
The sound of police voices rang out behind them once again.
John turned back.
"We are deeply sorry that this has happened to your group, but we still need you to cooperate with our investigation." "That's the way it should be."
John gave a wink to Pierce, who understood and came forward to cooperate with the police in their questioning.
And John went back to the car.
By the time the police finished taking statements, it was almost dawn.
Pierce opened the door to the car and John, who was closing his eyes, immediately opened them and said, "You're good, how can you screw up a simple task like that?"
The voice was not loud, it sounded calm, but the hidden depth of meaning made Pierce's heart thump.
He swallowed and said stiffly, "Mr John, this time it was a bad job on my part ..."
"That's enough!"
John cut him off straight away, "Is there any point in talking about it when it's already happened?"
Pierce kept his mouth shut.
"Investigate! Find out for me exactly who is working against us!"
"Don't worry, I'll get to the bottom of it."
Even if John doesn't give an explanation, Pierce will do his best to investigate the matter thoroughly and if he doesn't replace out who is behind it, he will have to take all the blame. He can't carry such a big load.
Pierce hesitated and asked, "Mr John, should I tell Mr Hector about this?"
John gave him an oblique look and thought for a moment before speaking, "To the hotel."
...
At the hotel, Hector emerges from the bathroom after a good shower, dressed in a dark loungewear that, despite its simple style, looks exceptionally good on him.
He walked over to the wine cabinet and had just taken down a bottle of red wine when the doorbell suddenly rang.
His brow furrowed slightly as he glanced at the time, it was so late, who could it be?
He went to the entrance door, saw the woman outside through the cat's eye, reached out and opened the door, and a slender figure flashed in.
"Good evening, Hector."
Killers greeted him with a smile.
Hector was his usual indifferent self as he walked back to the liquor cabinet and asked, "Something wrong this late?"
Although used to his indifference, Killers skimmed his lips sardonically before following, his body leaning lightly against the liquor cabinet, his gaze unrestrainedly surveying him. "Gee, aren't you afraid your wife will get the wrong idea this late at night?" Killers raised an eyebrow at him wistfully.
Although he was dressed in modest pyjamas, showing nothing, there was a hint of abstinence in this.
If it were any other woman, she would have been smitten and jumped right in.
At her overly indulgent gaze, Hector frowned slightly, his expression clear and cold, his thin lips lightly parted, "Did you come here to talk this nonsense?"
His voice was as cold as his expression, without a single rise or fall.
Killers choked and she couldn't help but grimace.
He's a real piece of wood, not cute at all, and so boring that he doesn't even understand humour.
Forget it.
Having known him for so long, I also know well that this is how his personality is.
So Killers gave up on the idea of poking fun at him and got straight to the point, "The herbs have burned."
As soon as the words left his mouth, he heard Hector say nonchalantly, "What are you still doing here after burning, in case you suspect me?"
At that, Killers almost jumped up and pointed at his nose and cursed, "Do you even need to doubt that? You're the one who ordered it!" He's crossing the river!
She had worked so hard to help him burn the herbs, and instead of a word of thanks, she was worried about herself first. Don't go too far!
Killers glared at him indignantly.
Ignoring her anger, Hector said, "When the SA reacts at dawn, he might suspect me."
After all, it was too much of a coincidence that it happened from the loss of the medicine to the burning of the herbs.
It's not impossible for the other side to suspect him, so it's important to be more cautious.
"So?" Killers narrowed his eyes.
Hector hooked the corner of his mouth plausibly, "There are no such things as coincidences in this world, so you need a diversion."
At that, Killers almost cursed, she took a deep breath, suppressed her anger and said uncharitably, "You trying to boss me around again?"
Hector looked at her longingly and said, "I'm just teaching you not to do things halfway."
"Huh." Killers laughed dryly and, though upset, asked, "What do you want to do about it?"
