Love Comes To Me
Chapter 917: Are you tired of living?

As soon as Joey got back to the office, he immediately went to report to John about his day.

"I walked him around all day and didn't notice anything unusual about him."

This was Joey's conclusion after a day of observation.

"Are you sure?" John stared at her suspiciously.

Joey pursed his lips and replied in a rather helpless tone, "I know you probably won't believe it, but it's true." John frowned, was he really thinking too much? Did it actually have nothing to do with that Hector at all?

Before he had time to think about it, he saw Pierce walk in hurriedly.

Seeing this, John immediately sank his face and looked over impatiently, "What's happened again?" "I got it!"

"Found out?" John was stunned, then hurried to follow up, "Found out what?"

"We've identified a suspicious person within the group."

"Who?"

"It's the housekeeping that comes into the research room to clean it on weekdays."

John was a little surprised at the answer, "Cleaning?"

It's not that easy to steal drugs from a research lab with such tight security, so how could a mere housekeeper do it?

"Are you sure?" John asked.

Pierce nodded, "OK."

John always felt that something was wrong.

He thought for a moment and asked afterwards, "Isn't there someone in charge of the cleaning of the research lab? This cleaning is new?"

Pierce hesitated before she timidly responded, "It's the new one."

"Ridiculous!" John cursed angrily, "Are you tired of living when you let a new cleaning lady clean the research room?"

Pierce bowed her head, "I'm sorry, it was an oversight."

"A momentary oversight?" John snorted out, "Pierce, you've been negligent more than once or twice, I have to wonder if you had something to do with this one!"

At these words, Pierce turned white with fear and hastily assured, "Mr John, if I dare to do anything against the group against you, I will not end up in a good place." John sneered, "You'd better be or I won't let you off the hook."

"Don't worry, I won't let you down."

Pierce wiped the cold sweat on his forehead and continued, "The cleaning in charge of cleaning that day because of stomach trouble let a colleague replace him, has always been cleaning will be watched, but... who knows this time let the other side exploit the loopholes, the medication to steal. "

"Where's that bouncer now?" John asked through gritted teeth.

Pierce swallowed and replied in a small voice, "Escaped..."

"Escaped?" John's eyes widened in anger, "How dare you tell me that people have escaped?"

"I've had someone look for it."

"Find him, even if you have to dig up the ground!" John hammered the table hard in anger. "Yes."

Pierce was busy responding and then continued to speak, "Mr John, the housekeeper is an undercover agent sent in from outside. My side has found out that this man may be from the Gothamless Sect." "The Gothamless Gate?"

John recalled a man who died some time ago because he had contracted their virus, supposedly from the Gothamless Clan.

"This Gothamless Sect is really bold, to dare to send someone undercover to our SA Group."

This was totally unexpected for John, who had been expecting a rival company or Mr Hector to do it, but not Gotham Gate.

"Is this revenge on the SA Group by the Gothamless Sect?" John asked.

Pierce didn't answer, but said, "The warehouse fire is not unconnected to the Gothamless Gate either."

Learning the truth, John was so angry that he smashed the cup on the table, and with a hostile face, he gritted his teeth and squeezed the words out of his mouth, "The Gothamless Gate!"

He didn't notice Pierce's surreptitious sigh of relief.

Now that the matter was cleared up and he didn't have to take the blame, Pierce was in a much lighter mood, but seeing John so angry, he couldn't help but raise his heart again.

"What are we going to do now?" Pierce asked cautiously.

John turned his head to glare at him, "Pierce, don't you ever let me call you a punk again!"

He wants his help in solving problems, not asking what to do at every turn!

Pierce was subconsciously about to apologise, but thinking that he didn't like it either, he hurriedly changed his tone and said, "My idea is that we can't start another direct conflict with the Gothamless Sect now." John took a deep breath to calm himself down.

"We're just in business, and it's beyond our ability to fix things like this nowadays." John said.

"So what do you mean?"

John pondered for a moment, "I will report everything to Bergerian."

In a whirlwind, he dismissed everyone, leaving him alone in the office.

Things have come to a point where he and the entire SA Group can no longer peddle.

Rather than letting Bergerian sense that something is wrong and come to account, it might be better to come clean first and perhaps gain Bergerian's understanding.

John called Bergerian's assistant, "Hello, this is John from SA Group, I have something to report to Mr Bergerian."

"Just a moment."

There was a silence afterwards.

John was in no hurry, he knew the assistant was there to ask Bergerian for instructions.

After about a few minutes, the assistant's voice rang out again, "Meet me at the usual place."

When he finished, he hung up the phone without waiting for John's reaction. Damn!

How dare an assistant do this to him!

John threw his phone on the table with some annoyance, how could he have been willing to stoop to Bergerian if it wasn't for the benefits?

...

It was an early evening at a well-known Italian restaurant and John had arrived early.

Every now and then he looked at his watch with a vaguely impatient expression.

It was long past the time he had agreed with Bergerian, but the other man never came.

Seeing his annoyance, Pierce cautiously suggested, "Why don't you call and ask, perhaps Mr Bergerian has been delayed by something." "Since when is it your turn to talk about my business?"

John shot a cold glare at him, and the latter instantly lowered his head, not daring to say another word.

Bergerian is a tricky man who is completely inscrutable.

I was afraid that he would not want to come at the last minute.

Just as John was debating whether to call and ask, as Pierce had said, a familiar voice rang out, "Mr John, it's been a long time."

It is Bergerian.

John rushed to his feet, curbed all impatience and put a smile on his face, "Long time no see, Mr Bergerian."

"My assistant said you had something very important to report to me, didn't you?" Bergerian sat down across from him and looked at him with a smirk.

"Yes." John curbed his smile and became unusually serious.

Bergerian raised an eyebrow, "Go ahead, then."

John deliberated before saying, "The drugs we were researching were stolen and the newly ordered herbs were burned."

"What are you talking about?" Bergerian thought he had heard wrong.

"Mr Bergerian, I am sorry to say that this time it was the SA Group's problem that caused this to happen. I came here today to tell you that I am afraid that the mission will not be rushed out according to the agreed date."
