Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 920: You're back
Eloise accompanied the two children to the Institute after they had eaten their cake.
She had to get Almeida and Sener to help check to see what was going on.
She was gone for a day, but in the evening Hector came home and didn't see her, and even after asking the family where she had gone, they weren't sure. "Eloise just said she had to go out on something and I didn't ask exactly where she was going."
Seeing her son's anxious look, Hector's mother felt something was wrong and asked urgently, "Is there something wrong with Eloise?" "It's fine."
Not wanting his mother to worry, Hector calmed her down and went back to his room to call Eloise's phone.
It was quickly picked up.
"Prince."
It's not Eloise's voice, it's Sener.
That means Eloise is at the Institute!
Hector instantly realised what was going on, "What's wrong with Eloise?"
"Miss Eloise has fainted."
Hector's face suddenly changed and he turned and ran down the stairs.
Hector's mother, seeing him running down in a panic, asked curiously, "What's wrong, Hector?"
Hector ignored it and ran out without looking back.
"What's wrong?"
Hector's father came in from the backyard just in time to see Hector's mother looking in the direction of the door with a worried look on her face, and came over to ask. "Hector rushed out and didn't know what was going on."
Hector's mother always felt that something was wrong and she thought about it, "Do you think it could be... Eloise something?"
"What are you thinking, what could have happened to Eloise. What a blind worry."
Hector's father gave her a sour look and strode off towards the living room.
"How am I worrying blindly?" Hector's mother followed up disgruntled, "I've been so distracted the last few days, I always feel like something is going to happen." "You're just idle."
Hector's father sat down and took a sip from the tea the housekeeper had prepared before looking at his wife, "From now on you will plant flowers with me so you won't think and worry."
"Is that so?" Hector's mother thought for a moment, still not feeling right, "No, I'll call Hector and ask what's going on."
Hector was on his way to the Institute when his mobile phone rang loudly on the passenger seat, as if he hadn't heard it, his dark eyes staring straight ahead at the road.
"Didn't answer." Hector's mother gripped the phone, her brow furrowed as she looked at Hector's father with difficulty.
The latter put down the newspaper and sighed helplessly, "Didn't you say that Hector ran out in a hurry? It must be an emergency, he's driving at the moment, how could he possibly answer your call?" Hector's mother thought about it, "I'll call back later then."
There was a violent braking sound.
The car stopped outside the research lab and Hector rushed inside as soon as he got out.
"Prince!"
Sener rushed to his feet as soon as he saw him.
"Where's Eloise?"
"It's inside." Sener looked to the side of the room.
Before the words were out of his mouth, Hector was seen rushing in.
Almeida was staring at the indicators on the monitor when the door was suddenly opened, startling him.
Turning back around it turned out to be Hector.
"Prince, you are here."
Almeida watched as Hector walked briskly to the bed, and although his back was turned, she could feel the anger emanating from him.
Sener walked in.
The two men looked at each other and both saw unease in each other's eyes.
Eloise lies on the bed, her eyes tightly closed, her clear face bloodless and a little frighteningly pale.
Looking at Eloise like this, Hector's heart ached as if he was being gripped tightly by someone. He slowly clenched his fist and took a deep breath before turning around.
Sharp, icy eyes shot to Almeida and Chill, "What the hell is going on?"
Almeida and Sener looked at each other for a moment, then deliberated before giving the truth, "Miss Eloise has had recurring attacks during your time abroad and is in a very poor state." Although he had been prepared for this, Hector was a bit overwhelmed when he actually heard it.
His heart ached as if he had been punched hard when he thought of the pain she had been enduring, alone, during the days he had been away.
And what he couldn't accept more was that Almeida and Sener had kept it from him!
"Why didn't you tell me?" Hector questioned angrily.
"This ..."
Almeida and Sener were at a loss for a moment to explain.
Hector laughed in anger, "You two are good, you didn't even tell me about something so important, can you afford to take responsibility if something happens to Eloise?"
The last sentence came out in an almost roaring yell.
Never before had I seen him so out of control, and both Almeida and Sener were physically shaken with fear.
"Prince, actually... it was actually Miss Eloise who wouldn't let us tell you."
Despite his fears, Sener stiffened up and explained.
Eloise?
Hector froze for a few seconds, then turned to look at Eloise, his hands slowly clenching at his side.
Yeah, he should have thought that was what was going on.
She would rather be forced to endure the pain herself than have him worry about her abroad.
But why didn't she know that this would only make it harder for him, that it would hurt more. "The Prince..."
Almeida was about to say something else but was interrupted by Hector, "You guys get out."
Almeida and Sener looked at each other and obediently retreated.
The room fell silent and only the sound of the monitor operating could be heard.
Hector took Eloise's slightly icy hand into his and his eyes slowly closed, hiding the self-recrimination and heartache underneath.
He regretted it.
He shouldn't have left the country, shouldn't have left her alone.
He couldn't even imagine how Eloise had gotten through these days when she was having an attack.
Just the thought of her suffering made his heart stab like a needle into his bone.
"Eloise ...," he murmured in a small voice.
Suddenly the fingers he was holding moved gently.
He hurriedly opened his eyes only to see Eloise's brow furrowed and her eyelashes fluttering.
"Well ..."
Eloise groaned and her eyes slowly opened, a little blankly.
She felt as if she had had a long, long dream, so tired, so tired that she didn't even want to move her fingertips.
A glimmer of joy passed through his eyes at the sight of her awakening and Hector called out in a whisper, "Eloise."
At the sound of the voice, Eloise turned her head in a hurry, and at the sight of him, her small face, which was still miserable, instantly burst into a wide smile.
"Hector, you're back."
Hector smiled dotingly, "Well, I'm back."
Eloise was about to say something else when she suddenly realised her situation and the smile on her face narrowed for a few moments as she thought for a moment and said, "I'm just too tired to sleep here." Even now, she is still reluctant to tell him the real story.
Hector was both heartbroken and angry as he took her hand and brought it to his mouth and kissed it gently, "Almeida and Sener have both told me." "Huh?"
Not expecting Almeida and Sener to have betrayed her, Eloise froze.
Then he reacted and hastily explained, "I didn't mean to hide it from you, but I thought it wasn't a big problem and that Almeida and Sener could fix it." "Idiot, I don't blame you."
Hector ruffled the strands of hair from her cheeks, his eyes full of remorse, "I'm just heartbroken that you're suffering alone."
