Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 923: Action Tonight
The next morning, Solomon and Sweety ran to Hector and Eloise's room as soon as they got up. "Mummy."
We didn't see Eloise for almost the whole day yesterday and both little ones missed their mummy.
They lunged straight at Eloise, who was still lying on the bed.
Seeing this, Hector hurriedly stopped them, "Mummy is not feeling well, you guys should leave her alone."
At the sound of his voice, Solomon immediately stood at attention in a good manner.
Sweety poked her head out of Hector's arms, her big grape-like eyes looking up at Eloise with confusion written all over them, "What's wrong Mommy?" "Sweety be good, mummy is just a little sick, she will be fine soon."
Hector stroked each child's head lovingly.
The two little ones walked over to the bed, Solomon with worry on his little face and Sweety on her tiptoes to reach out and touch Eloise's forehead. Then in a soft voice he said, "It's not hot, Mummy doesn't have a fever."
Seeing her acting like a little adult, Eloise couldn't help but laugh and raised her hand to gently pinch her cheeks, "Well, Mummy doesn't have a fever." "Then where mummy is not feeling well, Sweety will just blow you."
"Thanks. But Mummy's fine."
Eloise stroked her head as she turned her head to look at her son.
Solomon, younger but more mature and understanding than Sweety, looked straight at her with worry on his boyish little face and in his eyes. Eloise's heart choked slightly as she curled her lips and smiled gently, "Solomon, don't worry, Mummy's fine."
"But..."
Solomon wanted to say that her face looked a lot whiter than it used to, not at all like she was fine.
"Solomon, you take your sister downstairs for breakfast and let your mummy sleep a little longer."
Hector came over and bent down to lock eyes with Solomon.
Solomon nodded obediently, "Good."
"Sweety, let's go downstairs."
Solomon took Sweety by the hand and headed for the door.
As she watched the two little ones go out, Eloise put away her smile and a hint of guilt surfaced in her eyes.
"Even the baby is worried about me, I'm really so useless." A self-deprecating smile tugged at the corners of her mouth.
Hector frowned and scolded in a low voice, "I forbid you to speak of yourself like that."
It was not her fault at all that she had become like this, but that he had failed to protect her.
Seeing that he seemed angry, Eloise couldn't help but smile, "Okay, I'll stop, and you don't get mad."
"I'm not angry."
Hector glanced at the time and turned his words around, "You get some more sleep and I'll have the maid bring up breakfast." With that, he turned to go out.
"Hector," Eloise said as she took his hand.
Hector turned back, "What's wrong?"
Eloise sat up from the bed and smiled slightly, "I'm going downstairs to eat and I'm not so weak that I can't even get downstairs."
What's more, she didn't want her family to worry too much about her.
"Is that okay?" Hector asked.
Eloise nods her head.
Hector said nothing more as he watched her get out of bed on her own and walk to the bathroom to wash herself, during which he did not reach out to help her a bit.
He knew that if she said she could, she could.
After breakfast, Hector stayed home with Eloise instead of going to work.
The company has Rupert sitting in, so he can go or not.
In between his mother and Eloise talking, he went upstairs to his study to contact Ramm, who was abroad.
"Prince."
Ramm's voice came on the other end of the phone and Hector raised his steps to the window just in time to see his mother and Eloise walk out, his otherwise cold, hard brow instantly softening. Hearing no response for a long time, Ramm asked tentatively, "Are you there, Prince?"
Hector returned to his senses, his thin lips pursed slightly as he slowly opened his mouth to ask, "What's the situation now?"
"The Bergerian hasn't done anything for the moment, but I'll keep an eye on it and let you know the moment there's any movement."
"Do everything you can to destroy the Bergerian Institute."
Hector paused, "Bring back the Institute's developed drugs if you can."
"Understood. You can rest assured that the foreign country has been deployed and will be in action tonight."
...
"Eloise, you sit."
Hector's mother took Eloise and sat her down on the stone bench. She looked around and finally her eyes fell on Eloise's still slightly pale face and asked heartily, "Why didn't you tell me you were not feeling well?" She had a feeling two days ago that something was wrong with Eloise, but she didn't think much of it. If she had known that Eloise was unwell, she would have paid more attention to her.
Hector's mother's face was full of guilt and Eloise felt a little bad when she saw it.
"Mom." She took Hector's mother's hands in hers and smiled slightly, "Don't you blame yourself, I'm fine."
"You don't have to comfort me." Hector's mother patted her hand and sighed softly, "I know you and Hector didn't want us to worry, that's why you said you just had a stomach flu." "Mom..." Eloise didn't expect her to see through their concealment.
"Stop it." Hector's mother smiled and stopped her from going on, "I don't blame you guys, I just wanted to say that I'm here with your dad and Rupert and all of them, we're family, aren't we?" "Mom." Eloise's eyes welled up and tears almost came to her eyes.
She hurriedly sniffled and held back her tears, pursing her lips and smiling, "Mom, I know."
It was because they were family that she didn't want to worry them and keep them on their toes.
"Good to know." Hector's mother smiled with relief.
The two sat in the garden for a while before returning to the house.
"I've got the kitchen making fish soup, you can have some later."
When she found out about her condition last night, Hector's mother ordered the kitchen to prepare this and that early in the morning, just to get her well.
Eloise smiled and nodded, "Good."
Eloise went to her room to rest and had just laid down when Hector walked in.
As soon as he saw her lying down, he immediately walked faster to the bedside and asked in a tense tone, "Where is it?"
Eloise laughed out loud at his nervousness, "Don't be nervous, I'm just a bit tired and want to lie down."
So that's it.
Hector was relieved.
"Is it okay if you don't go to work?" Eloise asked, a little puzzled.
She knew that Hector was unsure of himself and wanted to spend more time with her, but felt that this would interfere too much with his work and felt a bit sorry for him. "I'm my own boss, so why not?"
Eloise: "..."
That's a lot to take for granted, he said.
"I feel for Rupert," Eloise bristled.
Hector would not have been able to miss work to spend time with her if Rupert had not helped him carry the load.
"We'll make it up to him later."
Hector touched her hand a little cold and his brow furrowed, "Why are your hands so cold?"
It's still a bit hot, but her hands are cold.
"It's probably been out there too long." Eloise touched her own hand, which was indeed icy.
"Is it cold?" Hector asked.
Eloise laughed a little, "How can I be cold in this weather."
Realising that he might have really been too nervous, Hector smiled helplessly, "You rest, I'll go to the study, call me if you need anything." "Good."
