Love Comes To Me
Chapter 924: A pill box

In the afternoon, Eloise was in her room reading a book when the housekeeper suddenly came up and said, "Miss Eloise, you have a visitor." guest?

Her

Eloise put down the book in her hand with a puzzled look on her face.

Who could it be?

Eloise comes downstairs and stops in her tracks as soon as she sees the person standing in the living room.

"Mom...?" She shouted, unsure.

At the sound of the voice, Mrs Darlington turned and her gentle gaze fell on her, a smile slowly blossoming on her face.

"Eloise, it's been a long time."

"What brings you here?" Eloise bustled up to her, surprise written all over her small, clear face.

"I just happened to be back in the country and came to see you."

Mrs Darlington looked around and asked, "Have you had a good time these days?"

Since Eloise and the children returned home, she and Mr. Darlington Sr. have been worrying daily about how she and the children are doing and whether the Rogers family is taking good care of them. "I'm fine, the kids are fine, and the Hector family has been good to us."

Eloise saw what she was thinking and even said it was great.

With the weight off her mind, Mrs Darlington turned the tables and asked, "What about Solomon and Sweety?"

"They've gone to the nursery and haven't come back yet."

"So." Mrs Darlington was a little lost, she had come on this occasion to see the children and Eloise.

"Mum, they'll be back in a minute, so come and sit down."

Eloise pulled her to the sofa and sat down, then turned her head and instructed the housekeeper, "You make a cup of floral tea and come here."

"Yes." The butler led the way towards the kitchen.

"Are you the only one home?" Mrs Darlington asked curiously when she saw that no one else was there.

"Some of them are at work and some are upstairs resting."

"Well ..." Mrs Darlington hesitated, "Is Sweety's dad here?"

"Yes, it's upstairs." Eloise wasn't expecting her to ask about Hector and was a little surprised, "Do you want to see him?"

"No, no."

Mrs Darlington shook her head, still feeling just a little bit sorry for her son.

His own son was also very good and loved Eloise, but in the end he lost out to Hector.

She is also without her wonderful daughter-in-law, Eloise, and a granddaughter as lovely as Sweety.

"Miss Eloise, the floral tea you asked for."

The housekeeper hands Eloise the brewed flower tea.

Eloise took it and put it in front of Mrs Darlington, smiling, "Mum, this is my mother-in-law's own flowers, hand-dried for her flower tea, have a drink and see if you like it." "Good."

Mrs Darlington took a sip and the floral aroma filled her mouth instantly and she raised her eyebrows in surprise, "It smells good and tastes good."

Eloise smiled, "If you like it, I'll bring you some back then."

"Is it OK? Your mother-in-law..."

"My mother-in-law will be delighted to know that you like her flower tea so much."

Mrs Darlington bowed her head, smiled and said, "Your mother-in-law is so nice."

"Indeed." Eloise thought hard and continued, "She treated me like her own daughter, just like you did. If it hadn't been for you, I'm afraid Sweety and I wouldn't know where we are now." Speaking of the past, Eloise can't help but have a sour nose and red eyes.

Mrs Darlington took her hand in hers and said softly, "I should just say that if it wasn't for you and Sweety, your dad and I wouldn't have had such fond memories as well."

It's just that they would love for that goodness to continue.

Looking at Eloise, who was happy, a sourness came over her and Mrs Darlington's eyes reddened. She turned her head sideways and raised her hand to wipe away the tears she couldn't hold back before squeezing out a smile, "As long as you and Sweety are well, we're relieved."

"Thanks Mom."

The two smiled at each other and it felt like they were back in those three years.

After a while, Eloise gathered her feelings and asked with a smile, "Mrs Darlington, how is your health these days? Where's Dad?"

"Your father and I are both in good health, so you don't have to worry."

"So why did you come alone?" Eloise really dreaded the thought of her coming to see herself in person at the Rogers family.

"This..." Mrs Darlington sighed and looked at her sideways, "I had nothing to do alone after you and Sweety left France, and I especially missed that Sweety girl. Your dad just said ah, since he misses you guys, come over to see." Eloise was a bit overwhelmed by the prospect of having an old man come all the way back home, "Mum, I'm sorry to have put you on the spot."

Mrs Darlington pulled a face and glared at her in mock displeasure, "Why are you being so polite with me? I'm not happy about it."

"Don't, I know it's wrong." Eloise, as she had in the past, playfully raised her hand in acknowledgement of her mistake.

Mrs Darlington burst out laughing, "You girl."

For Eloise, she has always treated Mr. Darlington Sr and Mrs. Darlington as if they were her biological parents and it is fair to say that she and Sweety would not be the same without them.

In addition to gratitude and thanksgiving, there is also more affection.

"Mom, I actually miss you guys too." Eloise rested her head affectionately on her shoulder, "I miss your cooking."

"I suppose you just want to eat my cooking." Mrs Darlington teased her with a smile.

"No, I was thinking of you."

At this point Eloise is like a daughter pampering her mother.

"Come to me anytime you want to eat and I'll make it for you."

"Good."

The two sat quietly for a while, and after a long time, Mrs Darlington lamented, "I'm relieved to see you're doing well now." Although she privately wished that she and Rowson could have been together, they were nevertheless not together. There was disappointment, but it was a relief to see her happy.

What's more, it was Rowson who negatively affected her.

As she listened to Mrs Darlington's words, Eloise's eyes reddened again and this time she couldn't hold back the tears.

Seeing her crying, Mrs Darlington hurriedly lifted her hand to wipe away her tears and said helplessly, "There, don't cry, silly girl." Eloise sniffled, "Okay, I won't cry."

Mrs Darlington smoothed Eloise's crumbling hair behind her ear, "Actually, I came for another reason besides seeing you and Sweety."

"What's the reason?" Eloise sat up straight and looked at her quizzically.

Mrs Darlington smiled at her, then turned sideways and opened her bag, taking a box out of it.

"It was sent home secretly from Rowson, and he asked me to take it to you. I don't know what it is, but when he wrote, he was very secretive and had it smuggled in." Mrs Darlington handed her the box.

"Rowson?"

Eloise wondered what was in the box that made Rowson so careful.

"Just open it and see."

At that, Eloise opened the box, and inside was a pill box.

"Medicine?" Mrs Darlington thought it odd, "How could Rowson bring you medicine?"

Mrs Darlington was unaware of Eloise's situation and so was unaware of her son's meaning.

The moment she saw the pill box, Eloise froze, but quickly responded with a smile, "Probably a new drug he's developed."
