Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 934: Repentance
"This is how the Khan Group has operated over the years, so you can take a look."
After handing it out, Edgar returned to his place and stood, looking calmly at the group.
The crowd got their hands on the documents and flicked through them.
Grandpa Khan looked at it for a few moments before putting it down, "Mr Edgar, why did you prepare this?"
Edgar laughs, "I just want people to be more aware of the Khan Group and understand that actually the Khan Group is not as good as people think."
When this statement was made, someone immediately expressed their displeasure, "You mean the chairman is not managing the company properly? You've got a lot of nerve. Without the chairman, would the Khan Group be as big as it is today?"
The man who spoke was Farabee, and after scolding Edgar, he turned to Grandpa Khan and said, "Dad, Mr Edgar is young and rambunctious, don't be angry."
Grandpa Khan glanced at him and said in a quiet voice, "Mr Edgar is right, the Khan Group has really started to go downhill in the last two years." This is why he is anxious to elect a new heir.
Farabee didn't expect the old man to say this and thought she could put Edgar on the spot, but instead she was humiliated in front of everyone. His face turned a little ugly, but he managed to squeeze out a smile, "That's how little I know."
"Stupid." Devona, on the side, made a sound of contempt.
Farabee heard this and was subconsciously about to snap when Arlice rushed to stop him, "Dad, do you want to embarrass yourself again?" Farabee could only give up, and he gave Devona a vicious glare.
When it's done, we'll settle the score together.
"Mr Edgar, now that you have identified the problem with the company, what would you have done in your place?" Grandpa Khan asked. Edgar smiles a confident smile, one word particularly clear, "If it were me, I'd be looking for new collaborations as I work through the problem."
"A new collaboration?" Grandpa Khan raised his eyebrows in interest, "What new collaboration?"
"Grandpa, take a look at this."
Edgar picked up one of the papers in his hand and walked over to it, opening it up and placing it in front of the old man.
The old man looked down and stared in surprise, "Rogers Group?"
At the sound of "Rogers Group", the room came to life.
"Is it that Rogers Group at City J, are we going to work with Rogers Group?"
"Have you forgotten that the old man's granddaughter is the wife of the current chairman of the Rogers Group and what's so surprising about this partnership?" "That you don't understand, with Hector's personality, even if it was his old man, he wouldn't easily nod his head to cooperate."
...
The other directors are looking forward to this collaboration, but not for some.
Examples include Farabee and Arlice.
"How did he get the deal with the Rogers Group?" Farabee looked grimly at Edgar, who was standing next to Grandpa Khan.
Arlice narrowed his eyes, "He went to City J yesterday."
At this, Farabee sneered, "I never thought that father and son would have such a heart, it seems that they are also eyeing the Khan Group."
"Dad, are you telling a joke?" Arlice sneered, "Who in the entire Khan family isn't eyeing the Khan Group, even that loser Herrin is thinking about it."
"So what do we do now? Now that Edgar has the Rogers Group as his backer, there will be more support for him."
Speaking of which, Farabee gritted her teeth in hatred, "And I don't know how the old man got so fond of that Baggott family."
"Dad, don't worry, there's always a way out."
Arlice looked at Edgar, who was smiling with a smug smile, and his eyes were shady.
Meanwhile, Devona and Goode were whispering.
"Look how cunning that Edgar guy is, pulling the strings of the Rogers Group, shame on him." Devona cursed indignantly. Goode grimaced, "I really underestimated him."
He had always seen Arlice as his greatest rival, but he hadn't expected Edgar to have such a heavy heart.
"I think we should just give up, one Arlice is hard enough to get, now with the addition of Edgar, do you stand a chance?"
Goode didn't like this comment, "How can there be no chance? This time, the selection of the heir is based on individual merit, and it is not known who will have the last laugh."
"Exactly. Dad, you don't want to grow your own strength." Even Herrin couldn't bear to listen.
"You have the nerve to talk about me?" Devona slapped Herrin on the head, "Do you think if you'd been more competitive and helped your brother out a bit, we'd have been crushed so badly?" "Dad, what are you doing?" Herrin couldn't help but shout out, drawing stares from the others.
Grandpa Khan stared at them with a frown of displeasure.
Devona hurriedly pulled Herrin to his feet and explained, "Dad, I just gave Herrin a lecture, it was nothing."
"This is a meeting! If you don't want to hear it, get out of here." The old man scolded in a stern voice.
"No no, we listen we listen." Devona had an ingratiating smile piled on her face.
Grandpa Khan gave him a fierce glare before raising his voice and saying, "The directors have been with me for many years, and my grandchildren have been brought up by you.
Several of the children are bright and brilliant, each with their own merits, so weigh them up for yourself."
The directors looked at me and I looked at you, and one of them spoke up and asked, "Chairman, who do you think is suitable then?"
Grandpa Khan laughs, "I, of course, think each one is suitable, but for the sake of the Khan Group, I would choose Edgar."
"Is it because of the Rogers Group?"
"Yes." Grandpa Khan was not ambiguous and admitted it openly, "The Khan Group and Rogers Group working together is a strong partnership of sorts, and I believe both groups will go to the next level in the future." He has made it so obvious that he believes the directors will understand what he means.
"Then we know what to choose." The directors took their stand.
Although Edgar was prepared and confident, there was a huge sigh of relief when he heard the old man's words.
This would make him the heir to the Khan Group without any surprises.
"Let's not rush to vote either, we'll make a final decision at the board meeting tomorrow."
Grandpa Khan got up, "That's all the meeting for today then."
Baggott hurriedly and quickly walked over to the old man and helped him to leave, as did the other directors.
Only Farabee, father and son, Devona, father and son, and Edgar remain.
"Edgar, you're good, to get a partnership with Rogers Group." Farabee walked up to Edgar and said grimly.
Edgar smiled, "Thank you for the compliment, Uncle."
Farabee choked.
"The cousin helped a lot, I think." Arlice said.
If they hadn't been sarcastic and looked down on Eloise when she came back, it would have been herself who got the Rogers Group partnership now. Arlice repents.
