Love Comes To Me
Chapter 961: You're the best

"What's going on here?"

Goode rushed in at the sound of the noise, and as soon as he burst into the study he saw the debris on the floor, and then his brow furrowed as he watched the two men, his father and his brother, confront each other. Devona saw her eldest son coming and suppressed her anger a little, "It's not your brother, who is stubborn and unrepentant."

Stubborn and unrepentant.

The words irritated Herrin's nerves and he exploded, "Dad, what are you babbling about? Did I do something to hurt you?"

Seeing that another argument was about to break out, Goode bellowed in a deep voice, "That's enough, Herrin, stop."

Herrin clenched his fists with a resigned look.

He was just having bad thoughts, it's not like he really did anything to that Eloise.

Goode looked at his father and then at his brother before speaking slowly, "Herrin, I know you're upset, but this is really your fault ..."

"Brother, how can even you say that?"

Without waiting for him to finish, Herrin interrupted anxiously.

Goode raised a hand to signal him to take a moment and then continued, "You need to be aware of the situation we are in and there are times when keeping your head down can solve a lot of problems." Herrin grunted, "After all you are just afraid of the Rogers Group."

"Aren't you afraid?" Goode asked him rhetorically.

Herrin was left speechless.

Of course he was afraid, he just wasn't happy about it.

"Nowadays the Khan familyEdgar is the most complacent and you and I are the most humble and not as good as Arlice, so if we offend the Rogers family again, then we are really screwed." Goode patiently analysed. "Listen to your brother, if you were half as knowledgeable as your brother, your mother and I would wake up laughing in our dreams."

Devona really hates Herrin, her son, with a passion.

Herrin kept his head down and didn't say anything, but his clenched fists gave away his continued reluctance.

"Herrin," Goode intoned as he walked over and put a hand on his shoulder, "sometimes we look down to see the path beneath us so that we can walk more steadily and faster, don't we?" Although Herrin is usually fun-loving and a typical dude, he is not a fool and still understands reason.

"So... what do I do then? Apologize?"

Goode and her father looked at each other, then smiled and said, "Yes, you go and apologise to Eloise yourself until she forgives you."

Herrin hesitated, "I ... I'd rather not go."

"Herrin!"

Devona was about to get angry again when Goode rushed in and said, "I'll go with you."

This left Herrin speechless and nodded obediently, "Yes, I'll go."

Devona breathed a huge sigh of relief when she saw that he had agreed.

...

It was not until it was dark that Eloise returned to the old Khan family home.

As soon as the people entered the house, two small figures darted over. "Mummy!"

It's Solomon and Sweety.

Surprised, Eloise hurriedly knelt down and embraced them with open arms, giving them each a kiss on the cheek.

"Baby, what are you guys doing here?"

"I'm the one who brought them here."

A familiar low voice rang in her ears and Eloise looked up with a big smile, "You're the best."

He always knew her so well that he knew she missed her two children and made a point of bringing them to Kyoto.

Hector looked tenderly at her and the child, having made the right decision himself.

The sight of her bright smile made his heart soften like a puddle of water.

"Mummy, I missed you so much." Sweety rested her head affectionately on Eloise's shoulder.

Solomon was not to be outdone, "Mummy, I miss you too."

Looking at their innocent little faces, Eloise felt like the happiest person in the world at that moment.

"I miss you guys too."

She kissed their little cheeks again before she got up and led them inside by their little hands, left and right. "Eloise is back." Brimlad came out of the kitchen and immediately came over to them when he saw them. "Grandma and Uncle."

The two little ones shouted in a brittle voice.

Brimlad's heart melted at once and he bent down to pinch their cheeks and said dotingly, "Two little babies, didn't you say you wanted to eat chicken legs? Grandma and Uncle have made them, so come and eat them." As soon as they heard there were chicken legs, the two little ones let go of Eloise's hand and ran off to the restaurant.

"Run slowly."

Seeing this, Eloise hastened to shout.

Brimlad said to her as he followed, "I'll watch the two little ones, you guys go about your business."

At that, Eloise withdrew her foot from following and turned to Hector, "I happen to have something to say to you."

Hector raised his eyebrows, seemingly a little surprised.

The two men went upstairs to their room.

"Rowson contacted me." Eloise said.

Hector's sword brows knitted as he listened; Rowson was not in a safe position now that he was in the Bergerian's institute.

What's more, Eloise is the person Bergerian has been trying to catch, and if he makes such a hasty contact, it's Eloise who will end up getting hurt if anything happens.

"What did he say?" Hector asked.

Eloise shook her head, "Didn't say anything, just asked if I was doing well."

"Was there any mention of the virus?"

"No."

Hector rose thoughtfully.

Eloise didn't notice his look and, thinking back to Rowson's call today, inevitably asked worriedly, "Hector, you said he contacted me out of the blue, is there something going on?"

At these words, Hector collected his thoughts, raised his hand to touch her head and said softly, "Don't think so much, he should just want to care about you." "Really?" Eloise was still uneasy.

Hector feigned displeasure and said, "Isn't it nice to be so concerned about another man in front of me?"

Eloise flinched, "I just think of him as family."

Hector lost his smile, "I know. I'm just saying you don't have to worry about him, he's an adult who will protect himself."

"If it wasn't for me, he wouldn't have had to take such a risk."

If anything happened to Rowson, she really didn't know how she would face Papa Fu and Mrs Darlington, and would have even less peace of mind in her life.

"Eloise," Hector said seriously as he put his hands on her shoulders and leaned in, looking straight into her troubled eyes, "this has nothing to do with you. It's his choice." "But..."

Eloise was about to say something else when Hector interrupted her, "Don't forget where you got the virus in your body, he's doing this for nothing more than to redeem himself, don't add any psychological burden to yourself." "Actually ... I'm psyching up for Darlington family mum and dad." Eloise muttered in a small voice.

Hector smiled softly, "I know. Don't think so much about it, Rowson's no fool, he'll be fine."

Despite his reassurance, the worry lingered in Eloise's mind.
