Love Comes To Me
Chapter 968: Hitting on the Khan Group

Hector came out of the shower, his hair damp and dripping.

He wiped it down twice with a towel at random.

Seeing this, Eloise frowned, "Blow dry your hair."

"You're helping me?" Hector looked at her with a wry smile.

Without thinking, she responded, "Yes."

With those words, she prepared to get out of bed.

"No, I'll do it myself."

Hector stopped her and without waiting for her reaction turned back to the bathroom to blow-dry her hair.

He didn't want to work her hard, but it was just a blow-dry, so where was the hard work?

Eloise got out of bed and slipped on her slippers and headed for the bathroom.

Hector was blow-drying his hair when he heard a movement and turned his head only to see Eloise gazing at him with a gentle, light smile.

A movement of the heart and mouth.

He slowly lifted his head, "You ..."

Before the words were out of her mouth, she reached out to take away the hairdryer and her soft voice rang out in the bathroom, "I'll help you." This time, Hector did not refuse.

He bent his head down slightly so that she could reach his hair.

With the hair dryer whirring and her fingertips gently plucking at the soft strands of hair, Eloise's face is focused and the corners of her mouth are turned up in a light curve. Hector lifted his eyes and his gaze fell on the soft line of her jaw, a hint of tenderness in his eyes.

"There." Eloise switched off the hairdryer and ruffled his hair with considerable satisfaction.

Hector straightened up, his deep gaze locking on her small face.

"Get out." Putting the hairdryer away, Eloise turned her head to meet his dark eyes, and her heart inexplicably missed a beat.

It always feels as if something is about to happen.

Before she could think clearly, he suddenly reached out and carried her to the washstand.

She gave a small gasp, "What are you ... you going to do?"

A heart is beating fast.

Hector's eyes fell on her slightly open red lips and he murmured, "Kiss you."

As soon as the words left her mouth, hot lips pressed against hers.

Eloise's heart fluttered hard and she slowly closed her eyes, allowing him to attack the city.

The atmosphere around them grew charming as they held each other in the light.

...

The following day, Hector took Solomon and Sweety back to City J.

Eloise wants to go to the hospital to be with her mother, but is stopped by Brimlad.

"I see you don't seem to have slept well, so you won't be going to the hospital today." "I'm fine."

Just as the words were spoken, Eloise let out a huge yawn.

Brimlad gave her a sour look, "You're still saying you're fine, you're in tears, you're so sleepy go upstairs and get some more sleep." Actually Eloise did get tired last night...

Her white face was tinged with a faint blush as she thought of last night's events.

"Why are you so red in the face?" Brimlad frowned, reaching for her forehead as he asked worriedly, "Is it a fever?"

Eloise rushed upstairs for fear of being seen, "Auntie, I'm not going to the hospital today."

"You slow down." Brimlad shouted as he saw how fast she was running.

Brimlad shook his head and laughed, "Why is the boy so fidgety today?"

Back in her room, Eloise raised her hand to cover her face.

What are you thinking in broad daylight, shame on you.

Arlice has taken advantage of the Khan Group's warehouse in order to get all the herbs needed by the SA Group.

Today, only the Khan Group can help him.

So he took a few men to the Khan Group's warehouse on the outskirts of town.

"Mr Arlice, the president must agree before you can remove the herbs from the warehouse." The supervisor in charge of the warehouse wouldn't let him in at all.

Arlice sneered, "Since when do I need the president's approval to order herbs?"

"These are the new rules issued by the president when he took office."

Damn Edgar!

Arlice cursed inwardly as he glanced at the closed doors of the warehouse and a thought flashed through his mind.

Almost instantly, with a pleasing smile piled on his face, he pulled the supervisor aside and said, "Tell you what, you let me move the herbs and I'll report back to the president later." "No. It has to be approved by the president first." The supervisor was particularly insistent.

A hint of annoyance flashed under Arlice's eyes, but his face was still smiling, "I'm the president's cousin, what's the point of taking some herbs."

The other side smiled, still firm, "Sorry, even if the president's father came today, he'd have to come over all the same as required."

"You!" Arlice was suddenly too angry to speak.

If he could not get the herbs today, then he would not be able to explain to the SA Group.

At that moment, an employee who was responsible for organising the warehouse came over next to me, "Supervisor, there's an outgoing order over there that needs your signature." Once the supervisor had left, the employee whispered to Arlice, "Mr Arlice, what herbs do you want, I can help you."

Arlice was still angry, and as soon as he heard that, he turned his head to look at the employee.

Just seeing the employee's face full of flattery, he instantly understood and his anger subsided, "You helped me, I definitely won't let you get away with less."

The employee's eyes lit up at that, "Is it true what you say?"

"Sure."

"Well then, you give me the list of herbs you need and I will get them for you."

Arlice didn't give it to him, but simply said the name and quantity of the herbs with his mouth, and the man was shocked to hear it all, blurting out, "So much?" His voice drew the attention of the supervisor, "Frankson, what are you doing?"

Frankson turned back in a hurry, "Nothing, nothing. It's just that Mr Arlice was asking me some questions."

The supervisor didn't think much of it and withdrew his eyes and went back to his business.

"Mr Arlice, this ... amount is too big for me to take." Frankson had wanted to take this opportunity to butter up Arlice and see if he could be promoted in his position. But with such a large amount, if he really helped, the top would surely replace out and then he would definitely be finished.

So weighing the pros and cons, he turned Arlice down, "Mr Arlice, this is a favour ... I may not be able to do."

How could Arlice let him off the hook when he had come up on his own.

"No, you have to help me!" Arlice was very firm.

"Mr Arlice, I ..." Frankson regretted that he really shouldn't have gotten greedy.

Arlice looked sideways at the supervisor and said, "You just need to open the warehouse door for me, I'll do the rest myself."

"But..." Frankson was in a difficult position.

"Are you worried you'll lose your job if you're found out?" Arlice.

Frankson laughed bitterly, if he had just lost his job, it would have been a real disaster if he had been caught.

Arlice saw what he was thinking and reached out to pat his shoulder, saying soothingly, "Don't worry, I'll take all the consequences, I won't drag you down." "Really?" Frankson wasn't quite convinced.

"Not only will you not be implicated, I'll promote you to a higher position. I don't suppose you want to be in the warehouse for the rest of your life." Frankson was impressed, but didn't say yes to him right away, "Can I think about it?"

Arlice smiled, "Of course."

He was in no hurry at all because he knew that Frankson would say yes.

People, as always, give in to their desires.
