Love Comes To Me
Chapter 984: Concussion

Afterwards, Hector and Rupert went to the study.

And Eloise and Hector's mother chatted for a while before going upstairs to rest.

The following morning Eloise was woken up by her two children.

It was just after dawn when they came running into the room and pulled her and Hector stiffly out of bed.

"Daddy, Mummy, there's a sports day at the nursery today, so hurry up and get up."

Sweety's voice echoed in her ears, which she used to replace so cute and milky, but now Eloise, who was still asleep, found it just a little bit noisy.

Her eyes were closed and she asked breathlessly, "What sporting event?"

"Parent-child sports." came the reply from Solomon.

"Mummy, get up." Sweety took Eloise's hand and shook it.

Seeing that Eloise still looked sleepy, Hector said softly to Sweety, "Sweety, you go downstairs with your brother for breakfast first, and let your mummy sleep a little longer."

"I don't want it, I want Mummy to go to the sports day with me." Sweety was insistent.

"We'll go with you, but isn't it still early?"

Hector winked at Solomon as he spoke.

Solomon was smart enough to understand daddy's meaning at once and went up to take Sweety's hand, "Sweety, let mummy sleep a little longer while we go and have breakfast." Sweety deflated, her little expression pitiful.

At this point Eloise, who had finally slowed down, reached out and cupped her little face, "Baby, your aunt and grandmother made you biscuits yesterday and mummy brought them back, so you should come downstairs and eat them. Mummy and Daddy will go down after they've washed up."

Sweety's eyes lit up at the sound of biscuits, "Hurry up then Mummy!"

With those words, she pulled Solomon out and ran.

Eloise laughed helplessly, "This little girl ran away as soon as she heard there was a biscuit, I can't believe I'm not as good as a biscuit."

"Still sleeping?" Hector asked with a smirk on his face.

Eloise yawned, "No, I'm afraid I'll go to sleep and Sweety won't be able to wait to make another noise."

"Sleep more if you're tired, just have me with them."

Hector's heart aches for her.

"No really, big deal, I'll sleep in this afternoon."

With that, she got out of bed and headed for the bathroom, not forgetting to turn around and urge him, "You get up soon too, it's more important to be with the baby."

By the time they had washed up and come downstairs, the two little ones had finished their breakfast and were playing in the living room.

"I heard Sweety say you're going to accompany her to the school's parent-child sports day, so go and get your breakfast together."

When she saw them coming down, Hector's mother urged them on, fearing that it would be too late.

"Good." Eloise glanced at Sweety and Solomon, then walked with Hector towards the restaurant.

The two were halfway through their meal when a violent cry came from the living room.

Eloise and Hector, instantly alarmed, looked at each other, dropped the dishes in their hands, got up and ran out.

Solomon was picked up by the housekeeper while Hector's mother held her hand over Solomon's head, blood pouring from her fingers.

Eloise's face went white with a swish at the sight of this scene.

"What's going on here?" Hector rushed forward to bring the baby to him.

"Solomon was playing with Sweety when he accidentally bumped into the corner and cracked his head." Hectorâ€TMs motherâ€TMs voice was shaking and her face was pale as she said it. Sweety was so shocked that she stood and cried loudly.

"Mum, you watch Sweety while I take Solomon to the hospital."

Hector ran outside with Solomon in his arms and Eloise reacted by rushing after him.

On the way, Eloise's head was completely blank as she clutched Solomon's cold little hand, tears falling like broken pearls.

"Don't be afraid, Solomon will be fine." Hector was worried too, but managed to stay calm and spoke out to reassure her.

Eloise bit her lip to stop herself from crying out.

On arrival at the hospital, Solomon was taken to the resuscitation room and examined by the doctors and was found to be healthy except for a knock on the head and a slight concussion. Eloise's legs went limp as she listened to the doctor's replaceings.

Hector was quick to help her and helped her to sit down on a bench.

"It's okay, it's okay." Hector patted her back gently.

Eloise clutched his hand and sobbed.

The image of the blood still lingered in her mind, and a wave of fear hit her and she cried harder.

Hector didn't know how to comfort her, except to put his arms around her and give her silent comfort.

I don't know how long it took before she slowly calmed down.

Solomon's wounds were also treated and bandaged and taken to the ward.

"I ... we're going to see Solomon," Eloise said, her voice hoarse with tears.

Hector said "yes" and helped her to her feet.

As soon as she got up, there was a sudden blackness and Eloise's body swayed. Hector blushed, "Eloise!"

Eloise squeezed his hand and shook her head, "I'm fine, just a little dizzy."

Perhaps the emotional turmoil was too much for her body to handle for a while.

Hector's eyes sank a few notches as he remembered Almeida's account of what they had done, she had been so normal for the short time that he had almost forgotten about the virus in her body. Eloise stood for a moment, finally easing up.

She turned her head to Hector, "Come on, let's go see Solomon."

Solomon is still awake, his small body lying motionless in the hospital bed, his small, originally rosy face now pale and bloodless.

Eloise was so distraught that the tears she had managed to stop flowed again.

Hector stood quietly behind Eloise, heartache written in his dark eyes.

It happened so suddenly this morning that he is still a bit confused.

Solomon faintly heard crying and he struggled to open his eyes just in time to see Eloise in tears.

The little one was instantly upset and whispered, "Mummy don't cry."

At the sound of the voice Eloise rushed up to see him awake and went up to hug him, "Solomon, you're finally awake, Mummy was scared to death."

She cried as she spoke.

Solomon couldn't help but cry too.

Seeing the two of them crying together, Hector was at a loss as to which one to coax first.

At that moment, the doctor and nurse came in and were a little embarrassed to see the crying mother and child, but went forward to advise, "Mrs Eloise, the baby has just woken up, we can't let him get too emotional, so it's best for the adults to control their emotions."

At these words, Eloise's sobs ceased abruptly.

She wiped the tears from Solomon's face and coaxed, "Solomon be good, Solomon be good, we'll all stop crying."

Solomon nodded good-naturedly, with tears in his eyes.

After seeing Solomon, the doctor turned to Hector and Eloise and explained, "Take extra care of the boy's wound, never touch the water, change the dressing regularly, eat as lightly as possible and most importantly keep him from running vigorously."

Eloise nodded, "Good. So when can we be discharged?"

"Stay a few more days, the child will be better behaved in hospital than at home and it will be good for the wound to recover."

"That's fine." A few more days were all that was needed to get Solomon back on his feet in a hurry.
