Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 985: Do you like her?
Hector and Eloise stayed with Solomon at the hospital for a while, and then Hector took a call from the office and left first.
Eloise stayed behind with the children and after she called home to explain the situation, she asked Hector's mother to give Sweety her mobile phone. "Baby, Mummy may not be able to go to school with you."
Sweety, who had been clamouring for her to accompany her in the morning, now replied in a particularly understanding manner, "I know Mummy wants to stay with my brother, so it's fine for Grandma to accompany me." Hearing this, Eloise was a little touched, "Baby, you're awesome."
"Mummy, is brother okay?" Sweety asked.
"My brother is fine, but my brother will be in hospital for a few days."
"So can I go and see my brother after school?"
"Sure."
Eloise promised Sweety that she would pick her up after school and bring her to see her brother at the hospital.
With Sweety's "bye", Eloise hung up the phone.
She turned her head to look at Solomon in the hospital bed, who was asleep.
I had come back to spend time with my two children, but who would have thought that such an accident would happen.
However, she was also glad to be back, at least she could be there for Solomon when he was injured.
She sighed and walked over to tuck the little one in, then sat down on a side chair sofa to rest.
...
Edgar spent the night chagrined, almost with his eyes open until dawn.
"Crazy!"
He sat up from the bed and scratched his hair in annoyance.
With such a great opportunity last night, he ... was surprised that he upset Earlene by saying the wrong thing.
At the thought, he fell back into bed and raised a hand to cover his eyes, a bitter smile curling the corners of his mouth. Eloise is right, he has a crush on Miss Earlene.
And it was still love at first sight.
Edgar sat up from the bed with an "ooh".
No!
He had to apologise, had to save Earlene's impression of him.
In one morning, Ivor entered the president's office several times and saw his boss staring at his phone.
This time, he couldn't hold back his curiosity and asked, "President, are you expecting a call from someone?"
At his words, Edgar looked up, his eyes fixed straight on him.
Ivor realised he was prying into the boss's privacy and said, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked you that. I'll be right out." With that, he put the papers down and turned to go out.
"Wait!" Edgar suddenly shouted out to stop him.
Ivor retracted his foot and turned back.
Edgar was torn, "... Ivor, do you know how to apologise to a girl?"
Ivor froze, "Who does the president want to apologise to?"
"It's..."
Edgar almost subconsciously replied, coughing lightly and blushing a little uncomfortably, "I just... asked for my Hector." Hector, sorry about that.
He apologised silently in his mind.
"Oh." Ivor thought hard, "Usually flowers or a gift or a big dinner."
"Flowers, gifts, and a big dinner." Edgar repeated what he had said, then said, "Do these really work?"
"I think there is."
Edgar frowned, "Should?"
"It's up to Mr Hector himself."
Edgar raised an eyebrow and didn't embarrass him any further, "Get out."
Ivor walked as fast as if some flood of beasts were chasing him from behind.
Sending flowers?
Edgar tapped his fingers on the desk, thinking hard about how he would apologise to Earlene.
At the end of the thought, he tapped the table and the corners of his mouth slowly curled up, "I'll just send flowers and gifts and buy dinner, and she'll forgive me, right?" So he sent a message to Earlene saying that he was taking her to dinner tonight.
A reply came quickly.
He couldn't wait to open it, and the smile on his face froze instantly when he saw the words on the screen of his phone.
-- No time.
Edgar hung his head in frustration.
Over.
She really hates him now.
...
Eloise was feeding Solomon when she got the call from Edgar.
"Solomon, Mummy has to take a call first."
Solomon nodded good-naturedly, "Good."
Eloise walked over to the side with her phone and picked it up, "Cousin."
"Eloise, are you busy?" Edgar on the other side of the phone asked.
"Not busy. What's wrong?"
"There's something I'd like to ask you for."
"You said."
"It's just...," Edgar hesitated.
Eloise frowned slightly, "Is something wrong with the company?"
"No, it's a personal matter for me."
"Then it's okay if you just say so."
"Here's the thing, I want you to ask Earlene out for me."
Eloise was surprised, "A date with Earlene? What are you up to?"
"I just wanted to apologise to her."
"What did you do to her?"
Earlene was her friend and he was her cousin, and she really didn't want any conflict between the two, so she had to get things straight. "Nothing, just said something at the time to upset her."
Edgar told Eloise about last night.
Eloise cried a little as she listened, "Cousin, you think of Earlene as too petty, how could she possibly hate you because of a word you said?" "So why didn't she want to when I asked her out today?"
"People are probably really busy, don't you think blindly..."
That said, it took Eloise a moment to react to something very important.
"Cousin, are you really in love with Earlene?" She asked.
There was silence on the other end of the phone.
"It seems that you really like her!" Eloise's voice was excited.
"So... this favor for you?" Edgar asked.
"Help, of course."
Edgar was relieved to hear that she had agreed, "Thanks."
"You don't have to be so polite, just wait for my message."
Eloise hung up the phone and thought for a moment, then sent a message to Earlene before walking back to Solomon.
"Solomon, let's get back to eating."
Solomon nods good-naturedly.
As Eloise fed him, she said, "Soon you'll have a baby aunt."
"Brother-in-law?" Solomon was a little unfamiliar with the title.
"Yes, your brother-in-law's girlfriend is your sister-in-law."
Solomon nodded in confusion, "Oh."
"Next time Mummy will introduce you."
"Good." Solomon wasn't actually interested in this brother-in-law, he was just wondering if he wouldn't have the chance to assemble the plane with him in the future since his brother-in-law had found a girlfriend. Earlene was a little surprised when she received Eloise's message, and instead of replying, she just called.
Soon the other side picked up and Eloise's surprised voice came through, "Earlene."
Earlene couldn't help but curl her lips, "I thought you were back at City J. Why are you asking me to dinner?" "Well ..." Eloise hesitated, "it's actually my cousin who wants to ask you out."
"Mr Edgar?"
"Well, he said he wanted to apologise to you."
Earlene frowned, a puzzled look on her face, "Apologise for what?"
"I don't know." Eloise deliberately didn't explain, "You'll know when you meet him."
The implication is that she should say yes to Edgar's invitation.
Earlene laughed helplessly, "That's fine. You let him talk to me himself."
As soon as Eloise heard it, she knew there was something up and said, "Yes, I'll tell him right away."
