Love Comes To Me
Chapter 989: Visiting the Rogers family

Eloise understood what she meant and put her arm around her, leaning her head on her shoulder and pouting, "My little aunt loves me the most." Brimlad lost his smile, "Yeah, it hurts you the most."

It was because she was treated as her own daughter that she took her in-laws so seriously and did not want to disgrace her.

But Brimlad's fears were unwarranted.

As soon as they arrived at the Rogers family, Hector's parents greeted them warmly.

"Eloise's brother-in-law and sister-in-law, welcome to you."

Baggott and Brimlad both froze for a moment as they looked at the smiling Hector's parents in front of them, who they had expected to be a somewhat serious sort of person. But I wasn't expecting such enthusiasm and such a kind smile.

"My brother-in-law and sister-in-law, this is my father-in-law and mother-in-law." Eloise introduced.

Baggott and Brimlad pulled back at the sound of her voice and rushed to shake their hands, "Hello, how are you?"

After shaking hands, Brimlad remembered the gift he had brought and hastily handed it out, "In-laws, this is a gift for you, I hope you like it."

Hector's mother picked it up, "Why bring a gift when you're here? Just make yourself at home, no need to be so polite."

Brimlad smiled, "That's the way it should be."

"In-laws, this is the tea I brought specially from Kyoto, it's new this year and smells great." Baggott also handed his gift to Hector's father.

Hector's father took it and smiled, "Have a heart."

Eloise couldn't help but laugh at how polite both elders were, "Mum and Dad, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, relax, you don't have to be so formal."

At these words, the four men looked at me and me at you, and finally they could not help but laugh.

"Yeah, yeah, listen to Eloise, let's take it easy." Hector's father said with a smile.

It was then that Hector's mother realised that Solomon had also returned.

"Baby, how did you get out of the hospital?" She cast a puzzled look at Eloise.

"With my brother-in-law and sister-in-law here, the house was livelier and I thought Solomon wouldn't want to be alone in the hospital, so I asked the doctor to let him come home tonight." Listening to her explanation, Hector's mother nodded, "That's true."

She stroked Solomon's head, "Sweetie, have Grandpa the butler take you upstairs to rest and I'll call you down later when dinner is ready."

Solomon nodded good-naturedly, "Good."

Only when the butler led the way upstairs did Hector's mother regain her earlier enthusiasm, "Come, come and sit inside."

Hector's mother greets the men and sits them down on the sofa in the living room, then turns to the kitchen to prepare tea and snacks. Eloise followed.

"Mom, I'll do it." She took the cup from Hector's mother's hand.

Hector's mother smiled and said, "Your brother-in-law and sister-in-law are really too kind to come to the house and bring gifts."

Eloise said as she made the tea, "My sister-in-law said it was a courtesy and could not be dispensed with."

"Then help Mum think of what would be an appropriate gift to return."

After all, she was not familiar with the other woman's preferences and had to leave it to Eloise.

"Actually, I have a very good suggestion." Eloise put down the teapot in her hand and turned to look at Hector's mother with a wry twinkle in her eye. "What?"

"That's...," Eloise trailed off deliberately.

Hector's mother asked anxiously, "What is it? Tell me!"

"It's just being nice to me."

Surprised by the answer, Hector's mother froze at first and laughed out loud, "You child."

Eloise narrowed her brow with a smile, "I'm joking with you, don't take it seriously. Besides, you and Dad are good enough for me."

Hector's mother shook her head in disbelief, "And can you give me a normal suggestion?"

"Of course you can."

Eloise thought hard and said, "What my brother-in-law wants most urgently is a daughter-in-law, so why don't you help her?" Hector's mother: "..."

After all this, she still didn't have a solid suggestion.

"What are you talking about?"

At that moment, Hector's voice came from the kitchen.

Eloise and Hector's mother turn around at the same time.

"How did you get here too?" Hector's mother asked.

Hector glanced at Eloise before returning, "Dad asked me to come and see, said you guys were moving too slow."

Hector's mother got upset when she said, "If it's too slow, let him do it himself."

Despite the words, the movement of the hands was faster.

She put her tea and snacks on the tray and said to Eloise, "Eloise, you take your things out, I have some work to do." "Good."

Eloise was about to pick it up when Hector moved faster than she did.

"I'll do it."

Hector's mother laughed, "I see you're more distressed about your wife than that your father sent you over." "Mom." Eloise was shy.

The smile on Hector's mother's face deepened, "Hurry up and bring the tea over before your father really gets anxious."

As soon as you step out of the kitchen you can hear the sounds of chatter in the living room.

"Brother-in-law and Dad kinda talk to each other." Eloise said with a smile.

She was worried about the seriousness of the atmosphere when the elders met, but now it seems that she was worried for nothing. Hector but smiles.

Handing the tea to Hector's father one by one, she then walked over to Brimlad and sat down.

"Where's your mother-in-law?" Brimlad asked her in a whisper.

"She's got something to do and will come over later."

Hector's father and Baggott chatted about current events, and the two men met so well that they completely ignored the others when they got talking.

Brimlad said with a mixture of helplessness and amusement, "Your brother-in-law has found a companion, I don't think we'll be able to finish this conversation for a while."

Eloise smiled, "If you're bored, why don't we go upstairs and see if Solomon and Sweety are up there."

Brimlad was busy nodding, "Yes."

So Eloise took Brimlad upstairs to the children's room.

Sweety is drawing and Solomon is sitting on the bed with a storybook in his hand.

Brimlad couldn't help but laugh at the sight, "Why are both of these little ones so well behaved?"

Sweety heard a voice, turned around, saw her and stared in surprise, "Grandma and Uncle!"

She immediately put down her brush and ran over.

"Little baby." Brimlad knelt down and took her in a loving hug.

"Grandma Aunt, what brings you here?" Sweety asked, tilting her little face in curiosity.

"Because my aunt and grandmother missed you, so I came to see you."

Sweety instantly arched her eyebrows in a smile, "Sweety misses her aunt and grandmother too."

The child's voice was so sweet and cuddly that Brimlad felt his heart melt and held her closer.

Whenever this happens, she can't help but wonder again in her mind when she will have such a lovely granddaughter.

Eloise smiled helplessly and walked over towards Solomon, taking the book from his hand.

"Solomon, one can't read a book if one isn't feeling well." She sounded a little serious.

Solomon said in a rush, "Mummy, I'm not unwell."

"The doctor wants you to get more rest, so don't read, okay?"

"Oh, okay." Solomon glanced at the book in her hand and a look of loss passed through his eyes.

Eloise saw it and was bemused, was the book that good?

"Mummy, when will my brother's head be ready?" Sweety walked up to her at some point.

Eloise turned her head to look at her and replied seriously, "It will be fine in a few days."

"So is it true that my brother won't be able to play with me for a few days?" "Hmm."

Sweety beamed with some disappointment, "I'm so bored then."
