Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 993: Lest we fall into disrepute
"I have no problem with the Boddy family."
Having said this, the lift arrives at the underground car park just in time for Edgar to turn his head and look at Arlice, curling his lips as he waits for the doors to open and strides out. Arlice stared at his back and narrowed his eyes, was he onto something?
Something suddenly occurred to him and his face changed.
Did he already replace out?
As soon as Arlice arrived home, he went straight to his study on the first floor, found his father Farabee and asked, "Dad, who did you send to do the export declaration?" "What's wrong?" Farabee didn't understand why he was suddenly asking this.
Arlice didn't explain, "All you have to do is tell me who it is."
"It's your cousin Uncle Winchell."
Hearing this answer, Arlice's face turned even harder, "It's over!"
Seeing this, Farabee asked eagerly after her, "What's wrong? What's going on?"
"Edgar may have found out something." Arlice said, "I ran into him in the lift at night and he asked about the Boddy family for no reason."
Farabee frowned, "Could it be that you're being too sensitive? He's just casually asking that?"
Arlice thought back to what Edgar had said in the lift and his brow furrowed, "I wish I was being too sensitive."
He thought about it, "Dad, you tell the Boddy family to send someone to the hospital tomorrow to see Grandpa before it falls on deaf ears."
"What do you mean?"
"Today Edgar mentioned that no one from the Boddy family had been to see Grandpa after his accident."
When Farabee thought about it he did, he couldn't help but feel a little resentful, "It's your mother's fault, she said there was nothing to see so your grandfather's side didn't let anyone come over." He hadn't been worried about it, but he didn't think Edgar and the others would be.
"Apart from getting the Boddy family over to see Grandpa, there's also the idea of getting the cousin uncle out of the country for a while and coming back when the warehouse fire has died down." Farabee nodded, "Okay, I'll get in touch with them."
Arlice clenched his fists, a baleful look in his eyes, not allowing Edgar to replace out anything no matter what.
...
Solomon recovered so quickly that the doctors gave him special permission to be discharged early.
"Just be careful when you get back that the wound stays dry and doesn't touch the water lest it get infected, and that he doesn't run or jump." The doctor admonished. Eloise smiled, "Thank you doctor."
After the doctor left, Eloise began to pack her things.
"Solomon, you heard what Uncle Doctor just said, don't run around the house like you used to when you get back, okay?" She said as she tidied up. "Mummy, I know."
Solomon is very well behaved and obedient.
However, Eloise knew full well that he wouldn't always be able to do it.
Although he is not very naughty, when he plays, he sometimes forgets.
Eloise decided that she would keep a special eye on him for a few days.
Gathering up his things, Hector walked in and he stepped forward to take what Eloise was holding, "The paperwork is done, go home."
"We're home, Solomon," Eloise said, holding out her hand towards Solomon.
The little one immediately took hold, a big smile spreading across his little face, "Go home."
Eloise couldn't help but smile, leading him out of the ward after Hector.
Hector dropped them off at home and turned his head to go to the office.
A surprised voice came from the Eloise just as they entered the house.
"Sister-in-law."
It was Aisly who returned from her mother's house.
She ran towards Eloise with a big belly.
Frightened, Eloise couldn't care less about her image and shouted, "Don't you run, watch out!"
But Aisly ignored it and rushed to her, saying excitedly, "Sister-in-law, you're finally back, I really missed you."
Eloise had palpitations and slapped her chest, saying uncharitably, "That's how you think of me, it's scaring me to death."
Aisly smiled shyly, "It's been so long since I've seen you, I got excited."
"Little Auntie." Solomon called out good-naturedly.
Aisly looked down at the sound of his voice, her eyes touched the gauze tied to his forehead, the smile on her face instantly faded and she asked in a distressed voice, "Does Solomon still hurt?" Solomon gave her a big smile, "Little Aunt, I'm not in pain anymore."
"Solomon is so brave." Aisly stroked his head gently.
"Don't you stand there talking, go into the living room." Hectorâ€TMs mother couldnâ€TMt help but speak out when she saw them standing right there in the entryway.
Aisly spat out her tongue, "Sister-in-law, let's go inside."
Eloise smiled, "Good."
Handing her things to the maid to take upstairs, Eloise walked Aisly to the living room on her arm and sat down, then asked with concern, "How's the baby?"
"It's good, the doctor said the baby is developing well."
With that, Aisly lifted her hand and rubbed her stomach.
Seeing her in all her maternal glory, Eloise couldn't help but remember how she looked when she was pregnant with her baby, with happiness and sorrow, but in any case, the happiness outweighed the sorrow. "I'm looking forward to his arrival." Eloise said with a smile.
Aisly turned her head to look at her, "I'm looking forward to it too."
"Because of me, it's been hard on Rupert, and hard on you."
At the mention of it, Eloise was a little overwhelmed by Aisly.
In order to spend time with her, Hector leaves almost all of his work to Rupert, resulting in Rupert having little time for Aisly.
Aisly took her hand in hers and said seriously, "Sister-in-law, we are family, don't feel any psychological burden."
Eloise pursed her lips, "I'm not psyching myself out, I just think that with you being pregnant, Rupert should be spending more time with you."
"Don't worry, big brother has promised Rupert that he'll take a long vacation later, and then he'll be able to stay with me twenty-four hours a day."
Hector's mother came over with fruit and overheard them and said, "Eloise, you don't have to think about Rupert, he's so smart he's probably thinking of ways to get his brother to give him more time off." "Mom, how can you say that about your own son." Eloise laughed helplessly.
"He's my son, I know him best." Hector's mother forked them each a piece of apple and said, "Eat more fruit, it's good for your health." "Thanks Mom."
Eloise and Aisly picked it up and said in unison.
"Instead, Eloise, how is your health?" Hector's mother asked with concern.
The last time they fainted, it scared them all.
It was only when she asked this that Eloise remembered that it was as if she had been well all this time and nothing had happened to her.
When she didn't say anything, Hector's mother frowned slightly, "Is there something else wrong with you?"
"No, Mum." Eloise hastily returned, "I'm fine, you don't have to worry."
Hector's mother breathed a sigh of relief, "That's good."
She looked at Aisly and continued, "It's just as well you're both home, so I'll have the kitchen make some soup every day from tomorrow onwards to tonic your bodies." Aisly immediately refused, "No, Mum, I'll be overweight if I keep eating."
She didn't want to have a bad baby when the time came.
