Love Comes To Me -
Chapter 994: Four Faces of Shock
Eloise didn't think it was necessary, so she went along with Aisly's words, "Mum, just listen to Aisly. If you have too much nutrition, it's not good for the birth."
"You two really..."
Hector's mother shook her head helplessly, "All right, whatever you guys want."
Eloise and Aisly both looked at each other and sighed with relief.
"Sister-in-law, let's go upstairs, I've bought clothes for the baby."
Aisly dragged Eloise upstairs and once in her room, she spread all the baby clothes she had bought on the bed like an offering.
"Why did you buy so many?" Eloise was shocked by the bed full of clothes.
"There are newborns, full moons, every month anyway."
Aisly said as she held up the dress and gestured, "Beautiful, isn't it?"
She looked at Eloise expectantly.
Eloise tugged at the corners of her mouth cooperatively, "It's pretty, but it won't last more than a few wears."
"Is that so?" Aisly frowned slightly.
Eloise guffawed, "Don't you know that babies grow fast? You don't have to buy so many clothes or the baby will be too small by the time it's ready to wear them." Aisly spat out her tongue, embarrassed, "I just buy pretty ones when I see them, I don't even think about it that much."
"It's okay, when you're a mother, you always want the best for your child."
Eloise helped her fold the clothes one by one before looking up at her, "Is there anything you want?"
Aisly froze, "Why are you asking this all of a sudden?"
"As a sister-in-law, I always have to give gifts to my nephew."
"So." Aisly thought hard and couldn't really think of anything she wanted, "Sister-in-law, it's up to you. As long as you give it to me, the baby and I will like it." At that, Eloise smiled brightly, "Then I'm happy."
The two hadn't seen each other for some days and talked all afternoon until Aisly was tired.
Eloise went back to her room and thought of her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, who were still at City J, so she called.
It picked up quickly and Brimlad's soft voice came through, "Eloise."
"Auntie, are you back at the hotel now?" Eloise asked.
"At the hotel, what's wrong?"
"I'd say get together for dinner tonight."
Brimlad said yes without saying a word.
Not wanting them to go back and forth, Eloise set the dinner venue at the hotel where they are now staying.
Afterwards, she told Hector's parents about the incident.
"Dad, Mom, is it okay if we have dinner with my brother-in-law and sister-in-law tonight? They're going back tomorrow." Hector's father nodded, "Sure, get RupertAisly too."
"Good."
...
In the evening, Hector and Eloise arrived at the hotel first with their children.
"Where are your in-laws?" Brimlad asked suspiciously as he looked behind them.
"They're taking Rupert's car and arriving a little later." Eloise explained.
"Oh." Brimlad nodded and smiled at them, "Go on in, look at the menu first and order whatever you want."
Eloise smiled and said yes, leading the two little ones inside.
Not long after they entered, Rupert and the others arrived.
After a quick exchange of pleasantries, everyone took their seats.
"In-laws, this is your second daughter-in-law?" Brimlad asked, looking at Aisly.
"Yes." Hector's mother hurriedly told Aisly to call out to someone, "Aisly, just follow Eloise and call out to your brother-in-law."
"Little Auntie." Aisly shouted good-naturedly.
Brimlad had a smile piled on his face, "Hello there."
Aisly returned a smile, "My sister-in-law and I talked a lot about my sister-in-law this afternoon, and now that I've met her, it's just like she said, you're very young and beautiful."
At that, Brimlad burst into laughter, "You're a sweet-talking boy."
"I'm telling the truth."
Aisly and Eloise looked at each other and both smiled.
"I heard from Eloise that you're going back to Kyoto tomorrow?" Hector's mother asked.
Baggott nodded, "Yes, we came to see Solomon, and now that Solomon is okay, it's time for us to go back."
Hector's mother was a little sorry, "I would have liked you to stay a few more days, just so I could show you around."
"There will be plenty of opportunities for that later." Brimlad looked at the others and smiled again with an invitation, "You're welcome to play in Kyoto."
As soon as Aisly heard this, she immediately responded, "Yes, then from now on we will go over to you with a large family to bother you."
Brimlad smiled, "You're very welcome."
Apart from Rupert and Aisly, this was the second time the two families had met, but the atmosphere was as warm and welcoming as a family, with everyone relaxing and chatting over dinner. Eloise looked up at each person, the corners of her mouth suppressing an upturn.
Really good.
After eating, Aisly pulls Eloise to sit on the sofa next to her.
The boxes are large and come with a place to sing.
"Sister-in-law, you sing a song." Aisly shoved the microphone into Eloise's hand.
"Me?" Eloise was a little unsure.
"Yes, it's a rare visit from my brother-in-law and sister-in-law, so you have to show it."
Her reasoning was too good for Eloise to refuse and she had to actually order a song to match.
But it's a bit embarrassing to ask her to sing it.
She turned her head to look at Hector and found him staring at her, his dark eyes unusually deep.
It was even more embarrassing.
"Sing it, sister-in-law."
Aisly prodded as soon as the intro played.
Eloise withdrew her gaze and met her expectant gaze, and could only take a deep breath and speak stiffly.
A soft, sweet voice rang out in the box.
Several of the elders who had been chatting animatedly stopped and looked towards Eloise.
Four faces in shock.
Hector's mother was the first to respond, "I didn't realise Eloise could sing so well."
At that, Brimlad also responded, smiling, "It's genetic, I guess, and her mother sings well too."
At the mention of Maryam, Hector's mother stopped listening to the song and asked with concern, "How is Maryam now, is she feeling better?"
"My third sister has been much better since she came home, both physically and mentally, and she now just talks to my father-in-law and reads books every day. When people don't want to worry about things, their health is much better." Hector's mother sniffed and put her mind at ease, "You're right, Maryam's health has been brought down by the amount of things that have been bothering her." "Not anymore."
They both really felt for Maryam and both could not help but sigh.
At this point, Baggott spoke up, "Okay, you guys stop talking about that and just listen to Eloise sing."
"Yes, listen to the song listen to the song." Hectorâ€TMs mother and Brimlad looked at each other and both looked at Eloise who was singing.
Hector looked at Eloise quietly, his eyes as gentle as if they were dripping with water, a faint smile on his lips.
Her voice is like the rushing water, low and soft and heartfelt.
There was silence as the song was sung, but in the next moment a burst of applause broke out.
"Sister-in-law, you sing so well." Aisly clapped her hands in excitement.
