Blood trickled from the corner of Everett's lips, the metallic taste invading his mouth as he wiped it away, lifting his gaze to meet the eyes of the aggressor. Callum, still clad in his white doctor's coat, was a far cry from his usual gentle and polite self. His face was etched with anger and disappointment. "Everett!"

He seized Everett by the shirt, slamming him against the wall. His eyes were fierce, voice barely restrained, "You married Selena, and this is how you treat her? You're not acting like a real man!"

"If you don't love her, if you can't cherish her, you should never have married her, you jerk!"

Derick and the bodyguards stood there, stunned. Everyone knew Everett and Callum were the best of friends; no one expected Callum to defend Selena so fiercely. And seeing Callum, usually calm and composed, resort to violence was shocking enough to freeze everyone in their tracks.

Everett, already fuming from Selena's attitude, couldn't contain himself when Callum attacked, his laughter tinged with anger. With his tongue pressing against his cheek, he balled up his fist and landed a punch squarely on Callum's face.

Callum stumbled back, a bruise quickly forming. "Callum, how I handle things with my wife is none of your business!"

"If you were too late, and she married me, then she and you will never have anything to do with each other again. Callum, face reality!"

"You call me a jerk, but what about you, lusting after your friend's wife?"

Derick and the others were wide-eyed, unable to believe the drama unfolding before them. This was the kind of scandal that only the elite seemed to pull off with such flair.

Everett had always kept quiet about this out of respect for both families and their friendship. But today, Callum decided to rip the facade apart.

"Yes, it's my fault, my fault for being too late. Otherwise, Selena wouldn't have married a man like you and suffered so much!"

Callum, always seen as the perfect gentleman, ignored the onlookers and shattered the silence. He was in love with Selena and had been for years When he saw her marry Everett, he chose to step back,

immersing himself in his work

overseas.

He returned because of Josh's illness, with no intention of causing trouble. He was content being just a friend, as long as Selena was happy. But witnessing her pain, seeing her hurt by Everett over and over, was too much. "Everett, this time, I'm not backing down. I'll take Selena away, for good!"

With that declaration, he shrugged off his doctor's coat and charged at Everett once more.

Jealousy and rage flared within

Everett, thinking of how Selena always smiled at Callum, how she excluded him from decisions about their own child, leaving such matters to this outsider. Was she just waiting for a divorce to be with Callum?

Not a chance! No way!

"My wife is mine, and mine alone. You can't take her, no one can!"

Everett tossed aside his suit jacket, fists ready as they clashed again. The heirs of Newport's prestigious families, both trained in martial arts, now engaged in a raw, unrestrained brawl. Each punch carried the weight of their frustrations and desires, neither holding back.

Eventually, they were lost in a haze of fury, oblivious to the world around them. Jaime arrived just in time to replace them locked in combat, both battered and bruised, anger radiating off them. "Seriously, guys?"

He rushed forward, grabbing Everett around the waist, using all his strength to pull them apart. "For crying out loud, stop it, both of you!"
