Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 291 Increasing Doubt
"The beast is a spiritual beast? No wonder its aura is so unique... However, the spiritual beast is anextremely rare kind of spirit-manipulated beast. How is it possible that he owns one? Could thisspirit-manipulated beast be something more special and rare?” Lance rose abruptly and stared atUriah sharply with a look of surprise. Although he was not a beast evaluator, his rich experience andinstincts told him that Uriah was possibly a spiritual beast.
Uriah's performance shocked Lance thoroughly. He stood there astonished, eyes wide open insurprise. He was the Commander in Chief of Crimson Dragon Group, one of Three Great Generals inHoly Dragon Empire. All his people were used to his stern and calm manner, always composed nomatter what the situation was. This, the Commander in Chief who looked out of sorts, had neverhappened before.
The commanders and officers in the grandstand were mumbling and whispering to each other. Theyspeculated about who and what kind of person could Uriah's master be.
On their end, Marin and Isis were even more surprised. They could not even move, let alone talk forthe first few moments that they laid eyes on the beast.
"Marin, look at his beast! How powerful it is! Could it be a spiritual beast?" Isis eyed Marin inamazement. She wasn't sure, but from the beginning, she had suspected that Uriah was special anddifferent from the other spirit-manipulated beasts.
"I have no idea,” answered Marin as she shook her head. She stared at the beast in disbelief. Rockyhad stayed at northeast military camp for a long time, but she truly had no idea about the capabilityof his spirit-manipulated beast. It could be a spiritual beast! She must have been seriously negligentthat Rocky had this capability and she remained unaware.
"How could you not have known this?" Isis exclaimed at Marin in complete incredulity. She knewMarin very well and how cautious she was in handling her business. How couldn't she know Rockyhad a special spirit-manipulated beast! It was dubious that the Rocky had been under her for a longtime and yet she remained unaware of his beast.
"I hardly saw his spirit-manipulated beast, maybe only two or three times. Neither he nor his spirit-manipulated beast participated in any kind of training before. He always disappeared for a few daysand no one knew where he was. No one bothered to look for him. After being a breeder, peopleignored him even more. It was like he was invisible. I didn't even know what he was doing every day.So..." Marin trailed off, shaking her head. She was both embarrassed by her negligence and half stillin disbelief.
"The power of this beast is close to the third grade of three star. You said that Rocky is only in thesecond grade of the Earthly Stage. If that is true, he should not be able to control this beast. Andyet, look at this! He just whistled and he was able to send messages to the beast. His control overthe beast is effortless!” Lance frowned at Marin, puzzled. He was skeptical how a manipulator of thesecond grade of the Earthly Stage could effortlessly control a three star beast.
It was widely known that due to the spiritual power contract, a spirit-manipulated beast should notbe stronger than its master. He would never believe him if someone told him otherwise. But now, itwas happening right in front of him.
"I...I really don't know," Marin stuttered. She herself was also full of suspicion. She could hardlybelieve what she was seeing, let alone explain it! She thought she knew Rocky but at that moment, she realized she did not know him at all.
"He is a very talented man. It would please me to have him in my service," said Lance with anassertive undertone in his voice. He would not take a rejection. He wanted, no, he needed this manto work for him.
"Father? What are you planning to do?" Dread settled at the pit of Isis’ stomach. As soon as she sawthe expression on her father's face, she knew that things would become more complicated.
All of the audience, including the commanders and officers, still had no idea who was the beastsmaster. They had no idea that Rocky was the master of Uriah, and they all were waiting for themaster to come up. The excitement of the audience was palpable in the arena, everyone wanted toknow who owned this spirit-manipulated beast. They were eager to know what kind of person couldcontrol such a mighty, powerful, and rare beast.
The people from the northeast military camp, including Deputy Commander Chen, were stunned atthe scene before them. To think that their breeder was able to control this powerful spirit-manipulated beast.
Simultaneously, as the people gaped in awe at the beast, Uriah breathed a huge ball of fire towardsthe Six-armed Snow Macaque. The macaque moved as quickly as it could, jumping to avoid theattack. The fire ball exploded on the ground with a bang, almost deafening the onlookers. Theythought that the macaque had deflected the attack but a closer look showed that it was injured. Ithad been slightly slow in its escape and its snow-white hair had been scorched. Its harsh screamrang across the grandstand.
Evan's face fell. He did not expect Rocky to have that rare spirit-manipulated beast.
It was evident that Uriah conquered everyone at the site with its excellent power. Even the moreadvanced spirit manipulators knew that there was no better spirit-manipulated beast in the CrimsonDragon Group or among the equitable spirit-manipulated beasts.
Everyone doubted that Uriah was a simple spiritual beast. They thought that even if it was a warbeast it would still be the best one among the spirit-manipulated beasts.
"If this spirit-manipulated beast was a spiritual beast, it is definitely a rare spiritual beast with animmense potential!" Lance could not help but exclaimed. Everyone looked on in shocked by such ahigh praise from him
Evan saw how his beast had already been defeated and became meek as a lamb. He knew that if hecontinued like this, he would just look pathetic. Evan just passed the fourth grade of the EarthlyStage, whose power was equal to the power of Deputy Commander in a small military camp. Heplanned to enjoy the great opportunity in this contest and get the opportunity to be promoted as aFrontline Commander. To his surprise, a spirit-manipulated beast stole his spotlight. But he wouldnever give up so fast. He hadn't lost yet.
With all the desperation he could muster, he launched an attack toward Uriah and flew in itsdirection. He accumulated spiritual power in one hand and released a Flying Cloud Punch towards it.An illusionary palm was instantly formed by spiritual power in the sky and dashed towards Uriah.Undeterred by Evan's attack, Uriah stood calm and unwavering. It was settled motionless in its placeas if waiting for something.
At this critical moment, a figure jumped into the air above the crowd. He flew to Uriah and landednearby, his movement smooth and natural.
As soon as the figure appeared on the stage, the martial field was lit up. The long awaited andmysterious master of Uriah had finally showed up.
The other four contests were eclipsed by the appearance of the mysterious figure. Everyonegathered around at this field, eager to know who it was.
Upon his landing on the ground, the man stretched out his right arm. Spiritual power intertwinedhis arm unto his palm, the air buzzing with power around him. The power was accumulated betweenhis two fingers and aimed at the illusionary palm. In the blink of an eye, the spiritual power betweenhis fingers was sent off and became a glistening arrow with nebula. It hurtled off, long tail castbehind it.
The nebula arrow pieced through the illusionary palm and shattered it. It dashed towards Evan as alightning bolt.
Seeing this, everyone fell quiet again. Shock and disbelief once again rendered them speechless. The moment seemed to go on, forever.
