Chapter 412 Hidden Strength

"You... I can't believe that you're as strong as an ox!" the tallest man sighed with amazement. It wasnot until now that he became aware of who Rocky really was. In fact, Rocky had been concealing hisformidable strength and was good enough not to let anyone know what he was capable of. Thetallest man even turned pale in a split second. On the contrary, he tried to pull his fist that Rockywas gripping so tightly. However, at the same time, he felt something strange as he looked at hisarm and saw that it was on fire. To add salt into an injury, the fire looked peculiar and sharp as itdisplayed interlacing black and red lines.

"Ouch! That freaking hurts!" The man suddenly felt like his arm was being roasted over hungryraging flames. In fact, the pain was so excruciating that he wished for death at that very moment.His skin melted, which then seared at a fast rate. Being cooked alive, a smell of barbecue began tofloat in the air. Shaking his arm as quickly as he could, the man attempted to fight and put out thefire. Nevertheless, no matter how hard he tried, he still failed.

And just like that, his entire arm suddenly became deformed and burned, like it was not a part of hisbody anymore. Looking like a withered tree trunk, there was no trace of blood whatsoever. It wasburnt so bad that only a little residual muscle and bones were left.

The witnesses, on the other hand, had their mouths agape as they saw what had just happened. Allof their stomachs went topsy turvy at the sight of such a very gruesome event that some of themfelt the need to throw up.

Meanwhile, Laney, who was standing behind Rocky, looked sullen and pale from what she had justseen. Swinging her head from side to side, she tried to avoid seeing the man's burnt arm.

The sissy was also scared as he felt chills down his spine. At that very moment, he knew thatsomething bad was going to happen.

"Sir, please, I beg you. Have mercy on me! I know that I am wrong!" the tallest man pleaded as heasked for forgiveness and pardon. Weak to his core, his legs had given away, forcing him to getdown on his knees to plead once more. Looking pale as dead, he wet his pants out of fright.

"Mr. Bai, please let him go! He's no better than a servant,” Laney said in the softest voice possible asshe intervened with Rocky for the man. Being softhearted and kind by nature, she was not able tostomach the sight of a person suffering.

"You're too gracious, you know?. Since he bears the candle to the devil, he has to be racked withpain for what he has done,” Rocky said, as he turned his back to have a closer look at Laney. Despitetheir disagreement in words, he gave a grunt and waved one of his arms all of a sudden, as if hedidn't want to do it in the first place. Inmediately, the fire on the man’s arm suddenly came to ahalt.

"Go away! Never let me see you anywhere near me ever again!" Rocky replied as he gave the tallman one last frosty stare.

Petrified and trembling like a leaf from head to toe, the tall man crawled and tumbled on theground as fast as he could while he held his deformed arm.

Seeing that two of his henchmen were unconscious, and the other one displaying a clean pair ofheels, the sissy became frightened to death as he broke into cold swear. It was not until now that hecompletely understood his mistake—he should have never made Rocky's hackle rise.Simultaneously, Rocky's eyes landed on the sissy, too. The sissy felt goose bumps of fear on his skinas he saw Rocky's icy stare full of killing intent.

"You bastard! How could you possibly dare to replace the courage to hurt and wound my men? Do youknow who I am? My father is the prefect of Evian City! You have eyes, yes, but it's such a pity thatyou refuse to be conscious of the influential people around here. You're doomed!" the sissy yelled atthe top of his voice to Rocky as he refused to apologize or seek for Rocky's leniency despite theprevailing situation. Nevertheless, his eyes changed. Once shrouded in fear, his eyes now becameconfused as he had a lot of emotions mixed up in his brain.

"Excuse me, the prefect? Even if your father is the Commander in Chief of the Crimson DragonGroup, I would still beat your men, because all of you are entitled to it!" Rocky snorted at him inhatred.

"You... You..." The man was not able to complete his sentence as he pointed at Rocky with his finger.Bristling with frenzy, he swallowed that anger when it was still a fire-seed and forgot to drinksomething cool, which was the reason why it grew hot as any dragon had ever flamed. Despite all ofthe emotions that he was trying to figure out, one thing was still for certain—he couldn't doanything to Rocky.

"Back offt Out of my way! What's happening here? Why are you gathering in public? Do you allwant to be put in prison?" A big-headed voice suddenly echoed in the air.

Instantly, all the plain citizens around were shrouded in fear, similar to how a cat would look like ona hot tin roof. They dispersed as quickly as possible, leaving a way that led to the voice. In the samedirection, a man in military uniform appeared in a silly manner, followed by a group of urbanguards.

"Captain Zhao, it's wonderful that you're here. That bastard has gone too far in tormenting others.He wounded my men and daunted me. The worst of it all is that he disrespects the Commander inChief of the Crimson Dragon Group,” the sissy said as he held Rocky responsible right after runningto the so-called Captain Zhao as soon as he set his eyes on him. While he stated what hadhappened, he howled and ran at the nose, as if the appearing man was his last straw of being a life-saver.

Taking a glance at Captain Zhao, Rocky seemed to recognize him. He tried to remember who theman was and recalled that the captain was no other than Calvin Zhao, Flank Zhao's son, whom hehad taught a lesson before. Rocky was caught on the loop that Calvin could serve as the captain ofguards of a city, even though it was not a high-rank position. He was beyond suspicion that Flankmust have made full use of his connections in order to bring his son to such a position.

"Who in his right mind would have the audacity as to disrespect the son of our prefect?” Calvinasserted in a tempered voice while he stood haughtily and looked around the crowd.

Immediately, none of the people in the area, except Rocky, had the guts to make any noise wheninhaling. That was because if they offended Calvin, then Calvin would make trouble for them andput them in prison.

"That's...that's him! Help me!" The sissy then pointed his finger at Rocky despite the shock in hiseyes.

Calvin turned his eyes to where the sissy was pointing at and recognized Rocky as soon as he madeeye contact with him. Beyond his control, his face suddenly became red in rage as he had notimagined that he would bump into Rocky again. He had held animosity against Rocky ever since theday Rocky had punished him. Therefore, as soon as he saw Rocky this time around, he wasdetermined to seek vengeance on him. "You're very unlucky to fall in my hands. Just stand by andwatch. I will damage and torture you by all means, ' he thought to himself.

"You're making a fool of yourself! You acted forcefully and fought on the streets, caused a stir, andwounded the men working for the son of our prefect. Obviously, you have no regard for law anddiscipline. Now you're arrested for aggression without reason,” Calvin declared. As a captain ofguards, he was in charge of the security guard in the city. "Miss Laney, leave these men to me. I can deal with them accordingly. You'd better head back now,because I'm scared stiff of what is going to happen in these men. Turn back now for this mightcome off as too much for your eyes.” Rocky turned his head back as he instructed Laney.

"No way, Rocky. You did everything just to help me when I was in need. How could I ever have theguts to leave you here all by yourself?" Laney spoke as sincerely as she could, shaking her headadamantly.

"Okay then. It's all up to you," Rocky said with a smirk on his face as he vanished into thin air.
