Chapter 539 Strange Building

The mist in front of Rocky seemed to have outlines of building facades. From the south to the north,they formed an endless view in perspective. It looked magnificent and symbolized an unknowncivilization.

"We are here. The treasure is in front of us. Finally!" He heard an alarming scream from the nearbyarea. It sounded unfamiliar.

In no time Rocky saw the fog with flashes of figures around him. He guessed that they were a lot ofspirit manipulators rushing towards the area. It was like an unclear hazardous scene as all theirspirits were uncontrollable.

"This is my treasure. Nobody dares to take it from me. I own it," yelled a spirit manipulator. Beforelong, greedy voices sounded.

"Damn it! The treasure is ours..."

"Who the hell are you? How can you acquire what is ours?"

After a while sounds of fighting came from all directions. It was dark and scary.

Those spirit manipulators had already killed each other for the treasure without even knowing whatit was. They wanted to establish their power and take away the treasure

Acquiring the treasure would elevate their power and they wanted it at any cost.

There were also many people with their spirit-manipulated beasts rushing forward. In an instantfigures in the dim fog kept flickering and moving in the direction of the strange light. It was a haywire scene.

"At this time it's better to keep a low profile. Stay calm," said Rocky. A sly smile crept up on Rocky'sface. Then he sent Uriah and Rubygon into the Magic Spiritual Space to check the situation.

Taking a look at Tasha who was following him closely, he said, "Come with me if you want to seeErica. I shall take you to her safely.” After that they rushed forward immediately.

Tasha knew it was very dangerous to stay there as spirit-manipulators were wandering wildly. Butshe didn't know where Erica was now. The best option was to stay with Rocky as he was braveenough to protect her and take her safely to Erica.

"Wait for me..wait I'm coming," said Tasha. She immediately followed up Rocky with a girlish cry.Along the way there were several bloody spirit manipulators. There were also warriors whodesperately tried to block the two. But the result was pretty obvious.

After a while, the outline of the buildings in front of Rocky gradually became clear. It was like thescene of human living. Most of the buildings were made of flat grey stones surrounded by eachother which made them look like a small town. The buildings were arranged in clusters with narrowroutes.

All the buildings were destroyed and went deep into the sand with time. There were only somedilapidated buildings which barely remained. The buildings had central entrances with a front yard.The stones were slipping down gradually. However from the present scene it could be imaginedthat they must have been a brilliant architectural masterpiece with an ancient history.

After a while, Rocky realized the central location of the building cluster. There was a magnificentbuilding at the top of the steps and that was where the light came from. The light gleamed intoRocky's eyes from inside the building.

“That's strange. Where are the people from the Magic Phoenix Empire and the Elite Regiment? Havethey already gone upstairs?" wondered Rocky. He looked around and didn't replace any strong aura ofthe spirit manipulator. He just saw some ineffective and worthless troops fighting with each other.Now that these weak spirit manipulators had come, it was highly possible that those of the MagicPhoenix Empire and the Elite Regiment had already been one step ahead as they were the mostpowerful among all.

"Erica might have already gone upstairs. We need to catch up,” said Rocky by taking a look at Tasha."Of course! They will get the Sea Blue Magic Jade,” said Tasha arrogantly. She gestured withsuperiority by forgetting that she was still a hostage. Tasha always spoke her mind out in wrongsituations, out of immaturity.

"That's great! By then I can exchange you for the Sea Blue Magic Jade. What an opportunity!” saidRocky frivolously. He hoped that the spirit manipulators of the Magic Phoenix Empire could get theSea Blue Magic Jade. In that case he wouldn't have to face many troubles. He hoped for the bestand wanted things to be at ease.

"Humph! Erica won't exchange the treasure with you! She is stubborn as you may know," said Tashawith a frown.

"If Erica doesn't want you then I can only take you back to be my wife,” said Rocky trying to frightenher.

"Shame on you! I don't want to be your wife. I am a grown up and I can take care of myself," repliedTasha. Upon hearing this, her face turned red again.

"It's not up to you. You can do nothing at that time. Be aware!" said Rocky teasingly.

"You..." Tasha was speechless. Since she clearly knew that she could neither persuade him not nordefeat him in strength, she had no choice but to hold back.

"But you are such a lovely girl. If I were Erica, I wouldn't let you suffer for just getting a piece of theSea Blue Magic Jade," said Rocky. Then he continued to move towards the building on the top.Seeing this Tasha immediately followed him like a little girl.

Soon they were shrouded in mist. The steps were tall and long. At a glance, one could see that itcost a lot of manpower and resources to build the steps. On the top of the steps was a verymagnificent building with intriguing architecture. It was tall like a castle and had peaked shrines.Rocky felt that this place was very ancient and mysterious. It should have a prominent history of atleast a few years or even thousands of years. The magnificence showed that only an outstandingperson would be able to live in the Myriad Beasts Ground.

Rocky was fascinated and wanted to know more. Then he took Tasha to the top of the stairs.

After walking for a while they saw many injured spirit manipulators along with corpses. It seemedthat they had just gone through a fierce battle and there were many spirit manipulators of clans.The ground was bloody and destroyed.

"It seems that they have already gone upstairs. We will have to confirm,” said Rocky coldly tohimself. Rocky picked up his pace. Although he had originally planned to observe calmly, if theperson who got the Sea Blue Magic Jade was not from the Magic Phoenix Empire but the othercountries or the Elite Regiment, his chip would be useless. He decided to play it by ear and graduallytry to figure out the situation.

Rocky doubted whether Sabina had reached there before him. She was known for her bravery andfast action.

After a long time they finally reached the top of the stairs. Tasha was hiding behind him reluctantly.She was gasping for breath with sweat dripping all over her body. Tasha was in shock and couldn'tdo anything.

The magnificent building stood on the top of the steps. Though it was covered with mist, it lookedlike a temple used for sacrifice in ancient times. The whole building was covered with moss andvines which twisted around each other. The mist was looming making it mysterious.

At that instant, Rocky clearly felt the strong spiritual power that the grand building was releasing. Hewas amused by its massiveness and magic.

Suddenly several figures and shadows flashed and stood in front of Rocky and Tasha. They werestunned for a moment.

Rocky looked coldly at the men who were standing in front of them. They were wearing clothes thatwere embroidered with snowflakes. By judging their appearance, he assumed that they must besome spirit manipulators of clans. They seemed to have come with vicious purpose to destroy or toacquire something.
