Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master
Chapter 600 An Expectation

By now, Sabina had realized that she overreacted. She internally reasoned with herself that this wasall because she had been given orders to protect Rocky. That was all. However, she couldn't ignorehow her emotions bubbling up inside her heart.

After a moment of hesitation, she stepped toward Sue and gingerly took her hand. "She's going toride back with me. It's more convenient that way,” Sabina said firmly, locking eyes with Rocky.

Sue was taken aback by Sabina's actions. Unable to utter a word, she embarrassedly looked toRocky for further instructions.

Seeing Sue's worried eyes, Rocky gave a nonchalant laugh. "Relax! She might look like it, but shedoesn't eat people. Do what you're told. Just follow her. Don't worry," Rocky ended with a wink, crossing his arms over his chest. He didn't seem to be bothered by Sabina's suggestion.

Sue apprehensively glanced between Rocky and Sabina a couple of times before finally resigningherself to Sabina. Looking to the ground, she said softly, "Thank you for taking care of me."

"No one will take you for dumb if you don't speak," Sabina said haughtily to Rocky, casting himanother glare before mounting on Duchess Silver with Sue. Together, they took off into the sky.Rocky jumped onto Uriah, following closely behind them back to the camp.

When they arrived, Rocky immediately had Sue sent back to Isis Pavilion, and then went in search ofSheridan. He hadn't seen Sheridan since the battle started, and since Sheridan promised to give hima hand, Rocky needed to replace him. After an intense search, Rocky couldn't seem to replace him, so heresigned himself to returning to the beast farm. Rocky figured he must've been in the beast farm, but to his surprise, Sheridan wasn't there either.

"The old geezer must be hanging around some women," Rocky surmised, shaking his head at thethought.

He soon gave up searching for Sheridan and resigned himself to the idea of cultivating andstudying the Sea Blue Magic Jade at the same time on Isis’ jade bed in the Isis Pavilion.

Rocky couldn't spare any time to replace out how to apply Sea Blue Magic Jade in his cultivation afterhe got it. It was a rare and precious treasure and said to be of great help to the spirit manipulators. That was all Rocky knew, and if he wanted to learn more, he had to prove it with his own practices. However, things didn't go as he planned. He had hardly settled into the white jade bed when anunexpected visitor arrived. It was Allen, the head of the Elite Regiment. Allen was also a cultivator ofthe Supernal Stage, and his power definitely surpassed that of Sabina. Rocky knew this because hefelt Allen's power when Allen managed to resist his Flaming Blade with only two fingers. It was nodoubt Allen was more powerful than him.

Although all these things raced through Rocky's mind, he greeted Allen with a curt nod, as thoughthey were old acquaintances.

This stunned Allen, and a glimmer of appreciation flashed in his eyes. Usually, people bent overbackwards trying to please him since they knew how powerful he was; Rocky's simple greeting wasa refreshing change. Rocky showed no signs of weakness. At this point, Allen began to understandwhy the Commander in Chief treated Rocky differently.

"Commander Allen, what a pleasant surprise! Is there anything I can do for you?" Rocky askedstraightforwardly.

"I have come to send some gratitude to you on behalf of the Crimson Dragon Group, as well as thecivilians of Evian City. I heard from the Elite Commanders; if it weren't for your clever plan, our tenthousand men would never have defeated the enemy of thirty thousand. Incredible! If it weren't foryou, Evian City would've been taken by the Timber Deity Empire. The Commander in Chief was rightabout you. You truly are a genius!" Allen praised him generously.

"I'm flattered, really. But let's not beat around the bush. What really brings you here?" Rocky askedsternly, locking eyes with Allen. It was obvious Allen wasn't here to just worship him, so what was histrue motive?

"Haha, Commander Rocky, you truly are a straightforward person. Then, I shall return the favor andbe frank with you as well." Allen's tone grew serious. "In fact, I am here to ask about yourrelationship with Sabina. Why does she stick around you? I'm curious.” Allen paused, scratching hischin. He had already asked Sabina this, but she refused to answer him. He had now come to Rockyin the hopes of replaceing answers. He wanted to figure out why his niece was acting this way.

"But, to be honest, I don't think it has something to do with you. Let me ask you. Do you have acrush on her? If this is so, then I feel obliged to tell you to stop this nonsense. True, she is a beautifulwoman, but she's as cold as an iceberg. I beg you to spare yourself the pain!" Rocky said jokingly."Are you always this funny? But you're right about one thing, Commander Rocky. My niece is abeautiful girl indeed," Allen replied in jest.

"Your niece? Oh, I didn't know that. Ah, right! Same last name," Rocky muttered under his breath, quietly verbalizing his thoughts. Now that he thought about it, Sabina and Allen did share the samelast name. How could he have never noticed before?

"Didn't Sabina tell you that she is the second daughter of the Ji Clan?" Allen asked, surprised atRocky's ignorance.

"Actually, I know nothing about her.” Rocky shrugged. He was telling the truth. He indeed knewnothing about Sabina, including her background and the reason why she came to protect him.

"So you mean, you have no idea that she's the apprentice of Marcia, one of the Three GreatGenerals of the Holy Dragon Empire?" Allen asked incredulously, his confusion growing by thesecond.

"What? Sabina is Marcia's apprentice?" Rocky exclaimed in dismay. What he just heard was farbeyond his imagination. If what Allen was saying was true, then it must've been Marcia who sentSabina to protect him. But why would Marcia want to protect him? Rocky was in this difficultsituation because of her, not to mention all the hardships he'd been through on the GehennaBorder. He couldn't understand why Marcia would sent her apprentice to watch over him, unlessmaybe to spy on him or for some other reason.

"You didn't know that either?" Seeing that Rocky had no idea what he was talking about, Allensighed. It seemed Allen wouldn't be able to replace the answers he was seeking.

"Well, I know now," Rocky said coldly. Rocky felt rage surging within him, anger flashing on his eyes. With a stone-faced expression, he brushed past Allen, without bidding him farewell.

"What the hell is this..." Allen could tangibly feel Rocky's anger when he brushed against him, but hewas confused as to why he was angry. He had just come here to replace out about his niece, but nowhe was left more confused than before. He shook his head with a sigh, wondering where he wentwrong.
