Chapter 103: Secret Of Mate Bond

"You did?" I asked not understanding.

"Yes. I felt the mate bond. That night he claimed me as his mate and in the morning when he woke up, his wife was back and she told me it was a mistake and left me there," she cried.

"I don't understand, if he thought you were his mate and you both felt the mate bond that night, why didn't you feel anything in the morning?" I asked.

"I don't know," she cried as she reached out to hug me.

Thinking about everything, I feel something is off. No amount of alcohol would have made her to feel that she was David's mate and for him to feel the same way. Except...

"David's mate, is she fully a wolf?" I asked.

"No, that is why her pregnancy is a high risk one. She is a hybrid, more witch than wolf. I don't understand how her father wanted her to take over his position as a beta when she has an elder brother that is fully a wolf," Amira continued. "Something's up," I confessed.

That night after Amira left after much assurance that she will be fine, I decided to paint because I was feeling a little bit of and I didn't want my thoughts to wander that it would result to me doing something stupid to myself so I painted. "Hi," I heard his voice and my insides felt warm before he came in.

"Hi," I smiled at him. He looked extra fine this night or it was the mate's bond that was pushing me.

"I was passing by and I noticed that your lights were still turned on. Having trouble sleeping?" He asked me.

"You could say that," I replied to him.

He sat on my bed and looked at my painting. "It is beautiful," he commented.

"Thank you," I responded shyly and we both fell into comfortable silence.

"How about we go on a date tomorrow," he suddenly spoke up again.

"That would be nice," I said as butterflies swarm around my stomach.

"Okay, I will pick you up at seven tomorrow. Dress casually," he smiled as he leaned in to kiss me but I moved back instinctively.

"I can't kiss you?" he asked looking somewhat agitated.

"I haven't given you the permission to do so," I replied.

"But we are mates, aren't we," he smiled in a charming way.

"Yes we are but I am not interested in kissing you right now." I said to him.

"Hmm, we will have to change that," he moved closer and kissed my forehead.

"Good night baby girl," he winked and left.

I felt kind of confused and giddy at the same time but I ignored all those unnecessary feelings and continued with my painting.

"Hey Mira," I said to her as I walked into her room.

"Hi," she responded still looking at her phone.

"How are you feeling now?" I asked her.

"Good, very good," she looked up to me and smiled.

"Really?" I asked surprised that she felt better just after a day of meeting him again.

And my mind flashed back to Kyle. How will I feel if I met him again?

"Yeah," she responded bringing me back to our conversation.

"Okay then, let's go shopping. I need a dress, I have a date," I smiled at her.

"Really? A date with who?" she asked.

"Axel," I responded.

"What? Why?" she asked not sounding too happy.

"What happened is there a problem?" I asked feeling confused at the sudden change in her mood.

"I was just teasing you when I said you were attracted to him, I didn't mean you should go on a date with him. He has um.. a kind of history with women," she explained to me. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"I am not saying he is bad for you. I am just saying he may not be the right person for you," she concluded.

"Oh, okay then," I nodded.

"But I still need a dress for my date," I said to her and she nodded getting off the bed so we could go to the mall.

"This is the dress it is so beautiful," she said to me.

"You think I should wear it? He said it should be causal," I explained.

"This is casual honey," Amira assured me and I went to the counter and paid for the dress.

Amira helped me with my hair and make up and even putting on my dress, she helped me with everything.

"Thank you,” I said to her as I looked at myself in the mirror.

"Anything for my girl," she said.

Axel came to my door at exactly seven o'clock.

"Hi, you looked beautiful," he said eyeing me up as he handed me flowers.

"Thank you," I responded as my cheeks turned red.

I put the flowers in a vase with water and I went back to him and we walked out together.

"Where are we headed?" I asked as I noticed that we were driving out of the pack.

"You'll see it soon," he looked at me and smiled.

"You are making me nervous," I laughed.

"Don't be nervous, we are getting there soon," he smiled at me.

We drove for a long time and soon I started to understand where he was taking me to.

We were going to the beach. I turned to look at him and he just smiled at me.

He held my hand we walked to the beach. It was beautiful and there was a table set up for us with candles and flowers. It was just so beautiful. "This is so beautiful," I said to him in awe.

"I was hoping you would like it," he smiled as he held my hand as walked me towards the table.

We talked about ourselves and our families and Axel told me about how he has been waiting for his mate, and how he is so glad to have found me.
