Jack POV

He felt absolutely nothing at all as he uttered that rejection to Maria. Not one ounce of pain, as he suspected she was not his Mate at all. A part of him actually felt sad, but not about that she-wolf, but for all that he had lost because of the conniving woman who had plotted and planned and used him. Ruined his life.

He’d had something so perfect, so freaking perfect for him, a woman he truly did love and that b***h before him had taken that from him. Robbed him and not only him but Rafe as well. She had robbed Luci herself. Their beautiful boys as well. Both Solar and Flare, Kali too, all of their lives had been ruined by the woman that was now on the shaming post before him.

Those two she-wolves had caused harm to so many, and for what? He could only suspect to get themselves money. It was all they ever did; take money from them. This whole pack had suffered, been affected by those two. Luci would have been here, been the Luna to this pack for 6 and a half years now. The whole pack liked her.

She belonged here, and had in the end fled it in her pain, unable to cope with the loss of them, she had hidden herself from them, likely using Alari to keep any and all pack members from getting close enough to recognise her. His knowledge from reading up on Sirens, their call, he knew it could be used to draw one to them or push one away from them. He just knew that is what she had done, pushed everyone in this pack away from them to keep themselves hidden.

She would have suffered every single day because of what these two horrid she-wolves had done. He and Rafe had lost their Luna, and not understood it. They didn’t really feel the pain of it all these years because those two had done something to stop them feeling it, stop them from remembering her, made them both actually forget her completely.

They’d only recalled her when someone had brought her up, mentioned her name or they were in her room. Only then did they understand she wasn’t here and even then they had no memory of loving her, just guilt over the way things had turned out. So much had been ripped from them.

The spell they’d used had literally obliterated Luci from both of them, likely he now realised from many of their pack members as well, likely why none of them spoke about her. He was willing to bet it was something to do with those petals. Every wolf came into the packhouse at some point, and therefore, would have come into contact with them or smelled them. That was why they were all quiet on the subject of Luci he was willing to bet.

That or their so-called Luna had ordered them not to say the woman’s name. She could have just done it when he and Rafe weren’t there, away for allied assistance or something. Which would limit his and Rafe’s thoughts about Luci, or their memories of her. He didn’t really know yet, but he was going to replace out.

Maria said nothing to him as he stood staring at her. She had a cold, hard and impassive look on her face, “You don’t have anything to say to me.” He enquired.

She looked right up at him. “Father is coming to get us.” She stated.

“Good luck to him getting inside this pack. It’s locked down now, no one in or out without my or Rafes’ permission.” He told her, then smiled right at her “I’ll gladly kill him, rip his head off the moment he crosses into pack territory. I hope he does.”

“Your home pack is in for a merciless death.” Rafe stated “Once I have my answers, I’m going to go there, and s*******r all involved in this plot of yours.”

They all looked at Maria as she laughed “Good luck getting past our witch.”

“Hmm,” Jack smiled at her. “We have three.”

“Ones that are not willing to get involved. They have known about us all this time. Did nothing.”

“Yes…” He heard Rafe state, acknowledging that was what had happened. “But for a reason.” He smiled now, “I believe, Jack, do you believe that reason has come to pass?”

“Yes, Luci got her Siren. Something our witches wanted. But couldn’t bring it about.”

“Correct.” Rafe nodded “They will now interfere.”

“If not them. Perhaps a royal-blooded seer.” Jack smiled.

“I believe a royal can request one. Let’s go and wake up Alpha Terence and see just what he makes of this. If he’ll help out?”

Jack laughed now “If…that man came here to help us protect and defend Luci and her children. I do believe it was these two that harmed her first. He won’t deny us.”

“I agree.” Rafe stated, then his hand snapped around Melissa’s neck and he tilted her face up to his “You mistakenly harmed the woman I truly love. My sons, you will suffer now.” He snarled at her. It wasn’t just Rafe but Solar as well speaking.

Jack watched with satisfaction as Maria’s eyes went really wide now. “Something is blocking the Beta.” He commented “Do you want to know what that meant? I have sons to Luci, two in fact. Seeing Luci having her here inside this pack. Nothing and no one can take them from me now. I love Luci and now she’s here, you have no power over me.”

“Jack let me do that honour.” Rafe let go of Melissa and she sagged.

“Go ahead, Alpha.” He knew what Rafe was going to do, it was what Jack was thinking about doing himself, right that very minute.

“I Alpha Rafe, banish you Melissa and your sister Maria from this pack, you are rogues now.” He severed them from the pack itself, from all here that were pack members. No one here had to even look at them.

“Now, you are just worthless pieces of s**t, prisoners of the Black Forest Pack, until we decide to kill you, that is. So stay here naked and shamed. Await for your death to come, at our leisure.” Jack stated “It won’t be painless, I assure you of that. Six and a half years of pain you caused to all. I might just see fit to repay it in kind.” Then he just turned and walked away, didn’t want to look at those she-wolves anymore.

Rafe fell into step with him, put a hand on his shoulder as they walked, knew that man could feel what he was feeling, as they walked back into the packhouse together.

Jack could hear both of those she-wolves yelling at the warriors to get them down, to let them go. Actually heard Melissa yell about still being the Luna and that she was not to be treated this way. She was nothing to this pack yet was still trying to cling to it.

A part of him wanted to go right to Luci and claim her for himself, but he had no answers to give to her yet. She deserved that much, all the answers as to why this had been done to her, why they had forgotten her all this time.

He found Rafes’ arms around him the moment they were in their office, and just hugged him “I know.” He murmured softly “We’ll fix everything.” He sighed softly to Jack “We’ll tell her all of it. Just a day or two to get the answers, Jack.”

He nodded “They hurt her so much.” He whispered, “and for what?” he felt tears brim and then just spill over for the pain she had suffered; he didn’t even know if they could fix it, she was so very distant towards them now.

He just stood there in his Alpha’s arms and leaned on him, for how long he didn’t know, Rafe didn’t move at all. Just held him and hugged him back till he settled down and pulled away from him. “Jack, I need you to stay away from Luci, I know you, you’ll try and claim her the moment you lay eyes on her.”

“She belongs to me.” He said softly “I want her back.”

“I know and we’ll get her back. She is our Luna.” Rafe looked at him. “Yours and mine, no one will take her away from us ever again. I love her too, Jack. But she deserves all the answers to her questions. We owe her that much before claiming her.”

Jack just nodded, he did know that, but he also wanted to go to her, to be with her. Hated being away from her, didn’t like that she was not here in the packhouse with him, with them. Wanted that “Do you think it’s too soon?” he asked.

“No.” Rafe smiled right at him, brushing Jacks’ tears away “Go on and plan our suite, down the other end of the packhouse, one for all of us together.”

Jack smiled a little, “The three of us in one bed?”

“Yes, as it should always have been,” Rafe nodded.

Jack sighed “Our parents are coming home today.”

“Well, Jack. They are getting more than a shock today.” Rafe nodded. Looked at him, really looked at him, smiled a little himself.

“What?” Jack asked curiously.

Rafe turned his head and then his fingers slid down Jack’s neck, trailed it all the way to his Mark Spot, and Jack shivered a little at the feel of it, so sensitive to his Alpha’s touch, felt Flare lift his head and growl a little turned on himself. “No filigree adorns you. Your neck is bare for me.”

“Stop that.” Jack gasped, as Rafe’s fingers caressed his neck again.

Heard Rafe chuckle softly “Why Jack? Do you like it when I touch you there?” his voice was all soft and teasing now.

“Yes.” Jack murmured and shook the man off. Stepped away from him, but looked at him and saw the smirk on Rafe’s face, he knew the man would likely have felt it himself.

“You belong to me Jack and,” Rafe touched his face, “Will bare my mark soon.”

Jack’s eyes widened more than a little, “Luci?”

“She will come first.” Rafe smiled at him. “Unless.” He grinned. “I can’t contain myself, I will try.”

“Alpha, do you want to hump me?” Jack raised an eyebrow at him now.

“Yes, I believe I do.” Rafe nodded “Now, go work. Before I claim you as my own for all to see.”

Jack smiled. “You and Solar might have to fight for that.”

Rafe chuckled “I’ll out muscle you both.” Then he turned Jack away and pushed him towards his desk, cracked him right on the backside, which elicited a loud growl from Flare and Jack bit down on the feeling, he was bloody turned on by his Alpha’s actions.

They’d never really had this kind of relationship before, shared everything but not each other. Though he knew they’d come close a few times with Luci here in their bed. She had tried to incite it more than once. Their hands wandered during the heat of the moment, the three of them in the bed all worked up together. But that was all, they’d never taken it further. She’d wondered, why not many times.

Jack felt right this minute that they would be, had to shake it off or he was going to go and hump his own Alpha. Needed to distract himself. Though it was still very early, the sun was not up yet and if he didn’t distract himself he was going to replace himself in a bed; who’s he didn’t know at that moment Luci’s or Rafe’s.

Sank down at his desk as he watched Rafe stroll out of the office. That man had way more self-control than he did. No matter what he felt, he could stand around and push it aside. Being the Alpha the pack needed, he was strong and reliable, calm and controlled even in the face of a threat.

Rafe, he knew, would be able to stand in front of Luci and not let it show that he wanted her like no other. Would be able to wait on claiming her, no matter how much he wanted it. Would wait till she was ready, knew the truth and understood it. Wait for her, Kali and likely even Alari to make their decision. He would be able to give her all the time in the world.

Jack sighed, he himself was going to be the one that would need to be kept in check, and Rafe was going to have to keep him distracted and contain him until she was ready. Likely why that man was the Alpha.

He felt Flare snort at him ‘We’ll be an Alpha soon.’

Jack smiled, “I guess so.” If either one, Rafe or Luci, marked him he’d be raised to an Alpha himself. They were both Alpha-blooded. His Alpha and his Luna. Wondered who should Mark who first. He or Rafe, where Luci was concerned or should they let her Mark them, claim them for herself. It would be her decision after all. Probably should let her bite them first.

He smiled to himself and wondered how Rafe would feel about Luci claiming him, Jack before Rafe. She’d always been naughty and tormentative where Rafe was concerned, if she could get back to that. She would definitely Mark Jack first, just to annoy Rafe, set him off, all his Alpha needs to claim what was his, it was what she’d always done.

‘It’ll be us first.’ Jack smiled at Flare’s words. ‘Yes it will be.’ he agreed with his beast ‘just to toy with the Alpha.’

He pulled up the top floor architecture plans. He was going to gut at least a quarter of the eastern wing, turn it into one massive grand suite, as it should have always been. Though another thought struck him and he sighed ‘Alari.’ Flare huffed at him, they had to replace a way to incorporate Alari’s needs into his design, he was really going to have to think about that.
