I walked round the forest because I wanted Evans to leave first. I didn't feel like seeing him. I wanted t "But Rosie what if he was only looking out for you?" Sun asked.

Mr Drew and Steph looked up and smiled when they saw me.

"Well Rosie the thing about rumors either true or not is that it travels really fast." he said.

"Wow that some news. I won't ask you much questions but if you need any thing like help, advice or you want me to beat that brat up just let me know. I'm always there for you don't forget that." he smiled warmly at me making my eyes teary. "Don't cry on me young lady. Now go and change. Not because your the next Luna that's doesn't mean I have to give you any special treatment. I know your here to work and you shall work my dear. Now go change immediately and help that lazy child." "I'm not lazy Mr Drew." Steph shouted from the back.

We both laughed at him.

"Well I didn't call names and you knew I was talking about you. Wow didn't know you were this smart." Mr Drew said sarcastically so he could hear.

I left him and went to change my clothes and went out. I started adding to customers and I was happy once again.

I didn't know how much time had gone but the moment I looked outside, I noticed the whole place was dark already. I think it's time I return back to the alpha's house.

I turned to go and change my clothes when I heard the bell ring. I decided to just attend to this one customer before leaving.

When I turned, I was surprised to see who it was.

"Oh Rosie what a coincidence. I didn't expect to see you again today. So you work here?" Drew asked me.

"Yes I do. I help Mr Drew out once in a while."

"Mr Drew?" he looked confused.

That's when it hit me. I started laughing.

"Sorry Mr Drew is the owner of this place. Wow I can't you both are bearing the same name." I said to him.

"Oh wow that's awesome." he said smiling.

"You can sit over there and make your orders while I go get them immediately." I said to him.

I noticed that what he ordered were in two places. I guess he might be having a guest or something.

I took his burgers, fries and chicken to his table. After I was done serving him, I turned to leave and he called me back.

"Hey sit down with me let's eat. Actually I ordered double so we could eat together." he said.

"I'm sorry Drew but I can't stay. I need to go home."

"Don't worry I won't take much of your time. Just please sit down and eat."

Well how can I say no to him when his just being kind. I decided to join him.

We began to eat and talk. Actually he was the one doing all the talking while I just sat down and was eating. He was telling me some funny jokes making me to laugh. I heard the bell ring but I didn't look at the customer who just entered because I knew very well that Steph will attend to whoever it was.

I was still laughing when I stopped quickly. I looked up to confirm my thoughts and yup the owner of the scent which invaded my nose was right in front of me glaring. I wonder what is his problem this time.

He didn't say a word. He just walked to where I sat and sat down on the empty seat that was next to mine.

"What are you doing here?" I whispered to him.

He smiled and looked at me.

"I came to pick my mate up of course. I can't let you walk back home when it's late. My mind won't be at peace darling." he said sweetly and loud.

I was stunned by his words. What is he trying to do? Why was he acting up? Is he sick or something? Or did he hit his head somewhere?

"Erm hello if I may ask Rosie but who is he?" I heard Drew asked. I turned to look at him and he had a confused look on his face.

"Sorry he is..." I started but was interrupted by yours truly.

"I'm her mate, Evans. The future alpha of evergreen pack."

I turned to look at him. Did he had to be cocky right now. Why will he introduced himself like that? I honestly can't understand this guy at all.

"Oh Rosie I didn't know you had a mate. That's nice I'm happy for you." Drew said smiling at me.

"Well thank you for being happy for us but sorry we need to go right now. It's really late and my mate needs to rest." Evans said before I could say a word.

I looked at him and frown my face at him.

"Can you stop looking at me and go quickly change your clothes. My mum has been waiting for you and she is worried sick that something bad has happened to you." he said through his teeth so only I could hear.

I quickly stood up and pushed him out of my way. I totally forgot to tell Luna Isabella I wasn't coming back early. I can't believe I made her so worried.

I quickly changed my clothes and went to Mr Drew. I told him and Steph good night.

I went to Evans and Drew and I couldn't understand the atmosphere surrounding them. It was so tense as they will looking at each other. I wonder if they were playing an eye contact game or something. Well now it's not the time for that. We need to get going so I can quickly apologize to Luna Isabella.

"Evans can you stand up let's leave already." I asked him.

Finally, he turned to look at me then stood up. I said a quick goodbye to Drew before I walked out of the restaurant.

We climbed Evans power bike and he drove to his house. When we arrived I threw his helmet at him and ran straight into the house.

I saw Luna Isabella walking around in the living room. Alpha Bryan was also there with her but he was sitting down and looking at her.

"Good evening alpha, good evening Luna. I'm so sorry for coming back late and not calling you to inform you that I will be coming back late." I said softly.

Luna Isabella rushed to me. I thought she was going to slap me or something so I quickly shut my eyes but instead I felt her hands wrapped around me. I opened my eyes to see her hugging me. "Rosie thank goodness you're back. I was worried about you. Please next time let us know if you are going to be late." she said.

"Yes Luna. I'm sorry once again." I apologized.

"But if you don't mind us asking, where have you been?" alpha Bryan asked. Luna Isabella let go of me and dragged me to sit down next to her.

"I went to Mr Drew's restaurant." I answered.

He knew I was working there right from the beginning.

"Alright then. At least all that matters was that you are back and you are safe." he said smiling.

Evans entered the living and everyone kept quiet as we all looked at him. I guess he felt uncomfortable because he began to scratch his head and he turned to leave.

I decided to do something. I didn't like how his relationship was bad with his parents. Although he deserves it but I think he has suffered enough.

"Evans" I called out for him.

He turned to look at me.

"I just wanted to thank you for earlier. I forgot to thank you earlier. Thank you for standing up for me in school against Juliet and for also bringing me back safely." I said smiling at him. He looked confused at first but then he kept a neutral face.

"What do you mean by he stood up for you in school. What happened?" Luna Isabella asked.

I have gotten her attention.

"Well Juliet wanted to slap me in school but he stopped her and even called me his mate in front of everyone. He warned her not to touch me or he will cut off her hands." I said looking at her. Luna Isabella and Alpha Bryan looked at each other not saying anything.

Why aren't they saying anything? Can't they you know smile or even tell Evans they have forgiven him already? Or did my plan fail?

I was about to give up when the Luna spoke.

"Cookies or cake?"

I was confused by her question. Why was she asking that all of a sudden.

"Cake." Evans answered.

I turned to see him smiling brightly.
