Chapter 71

EVANS POV

I left the house and headed straight to the prison where we keep criminals and rogues.

Before I got there I felt someone trying to mind link me so I brought my wall down. "Son your mom noticed your not at home. Where are you?" I heard my father's voice. "I'm so close to the prison. I need to interrogate the rogues." I answered him.

"But isn't it late already. You can do that tomorrow." he said.

"I can't wait for tomorrow. I wouldn't be able to sleep because I need answers from them."

"Alright then but be careful and make sure you come back and rest before the sun rise." he ordered.

"Yes dad. Tell mum I'm fine and she shouldn't worry about me." I informed him because I know my mum so well she might stay awake waiting for me.

"Alright." he said before he disconnected the link.

I let out a long sigh. I actually needed to do this badly so I can be relieved. Right now it's like I'm holding a heavy burden on my shoulder.

I arrived the prison gate. When the guards saw me coming, they quickly opened the gate and bowed to me.

"Where are the rogues that were brought earlier?" I asked them.

"There are locked in a cell. I can take you there!" one of the guards said.

I nodded and he lead the way while I followed behind him. When I entered the cell, I felt the strong urge to close my nose because the place really stinked so bad but I controlled myself.

The guard stopped at a cell and opened it for me. I entered and saw the four rogues I kept alive. I couldn't just capture them all and also Axel couldn't stop himself from killing some because he was angry that his mate was almost hurt. "Stop acting like she is not also your mate." he said in my mind.

I rolled my eyes and ignored him.

I faced the bastard that were chained to the wall. I walked to them and stood in front of them. My alpha mood was activated that's to show that I was here for business.

"I will go straight to the point. All you have to do is to tell me the truth and I will think of whether to spare your lives or not." I said to them.

One of them scoffed.

"We aren't fools. We know that at the end you would still kill us all so what's the need of telling you the truth. We will just die with it." he said.

"Well won't it be a waste to just waste your lives like that." I asked him folding my hands together.

"Well it's not because we have done our parts and trust me this isn't going to be the end. You killing us won't stop our master from getting your mate." he said laughing.

The moment he mentioned 'your mate' I got angry.

"What do you mean by my mate? And who sent you?" I asked growling.

"Hahaha look at that. You don't scare me at all and the only thing I will tell you is nothing." he said smiling.

Wow I wasn't surprised as his courage because he was an idiot not to fear me. Right now I was getting angry and was eager to know what they wanted from Rosie and why they almost attacked her. The fact that this idiot isn't saying anything is really annoying. I guess his looking down on me because I'm not yet the alpha and because I haven't showed him my other side. I guess I will have to show him never to look down on me and also for his friends to learn from his mistakes.

I called out for the guard who was still standing outside the cell. He entered and stood behind me.

"Can you go get me the toys you use. I mean the big toys." I said to him with my eyes still on the foolish rogue who was looking right into my eyes with a dirty smirk on his face. I can't wait to wipe it off his face.

The guard left and came back with what I asked for. He began to place them one after the other on the table that was in the cell. After he was done, he left.

I raised my sleeves up and walked to the table. I access all the tools that were there and decided to go for a sharp knife that was covered with wolfsbane. I walked up to my dear friend.

"You think just that will scare me, then you must be joki....AHHHHHHHHHHH" he shouted when I pressed the knife into his chest.

"You were saying something?" I asked him with a dark voice.

"Now answer my question or I won't hesitate to give you a painful death. Who is your Master and why the fuck did he send you to attack my mate?" I asked him.

He kept whining and didn't answer my question making me feel so upset. I used the knife again and dug it into his laps making him scream out loud.

The wolfsbane was the reason why it was so painful for him.

"I asked you a damn question and I expect you to answer me immediately." I growled using my alpha voice.

"I don't know who he is I swear. I don't know his name and I have never seen his face. He usually sends notes to our boss who gives us the orders." he said as tears were dropping from his face. "Who is your boss then? I'm sure he knows where your so called master is." I said.

"We don't know. He just gave the orders and disappeared. We don't know where he is right now." he said quickly.

I frown my face not liking my answer. I raised the knife up when he shouted in fear.

"Please I swear I'm not lying. We honestly don't know where he is."

"Alright if you say so. Now tell me why does your master want my mate?" I asked him.

"The only thing I know is that he wants her to be his bride that's all. I swear I don't know the other reasons please believe me." he said.

My blood boiled. They wanted my mate as a bride. They wanted what was mine as a bride.

I let out a dark chuckle. I could sense the four rogues fear but I didn't care about them as my mind went to Rosie.

Omega or not, she is mine and no one else. Whether I have accepted her or not she belongs to me and me alone. I would never let any bastard take her away from me as his f*****g bride. The thought made me sick.

I looked at the rogues and decided on what to do with them.

I called the guard again and when he entered, I told him to call three more guards to come. After some minutes, he came back with the three guards. I ordered them to t*****e the four rogues then I stood far from them and watched.

When I was sure they have had enough, I stopped them. Now the four rogue's were all bloody.

I walked to them and stood in front of them. I made sure they were still conscious.

"I will let you all go but I am sending you to give your master and boss a message. Tell them that if they ever try to harm my mate or pack members in any kind of way, I would replace them myself and kill them. And to the f*****g bastard that thinks he can have my mate as his bride, tell him that I said over my dead body will I ever allow that to happen. My mate belongs to me and I will kill whoever tries to take her away from me. Let him know that this is my warning to him." I said to them.

They nodded their head quickly in fear making me smile.

I turned to the guards.

"Take them to the boarder and set them free. But before that I must ask. How did you enter the pack?" I asked the rogues.

"We entered through the south. We were told that security wasn't so tight there." one rogue answered weakly.

'Hmm interesting. I will ensure that all the boarders security are tight. I thought.

I walked out of the cell leaving the guards to do what I sent them to do as I walked home.

"I must say human, you really made me proud with the way you handle this matter. I guess what you learnt in the alpha academy was really helpful. It is so worth it."

I rolled my eyes at my Axel. He just had to come back to taunt me.

"If your done, you can return back to where you are coming from because I tired right now and you are bothering me." I said to him.

"I know you don't mean that. You love it when I'm here with you. Remember you begged me to come back to you when I left." he said giving me a proud smile.

"That was then. But now I found out I am actually at peace without you around so just let me be." I said.

"No human we are stuck together forever. I'm never letting you go. Besides I'm in a good mood so I won't take what you said in my heart." he said wagging his tail. "Hmm that's new. Why are you in a good mood? What is it your not telling me?" I asked him feeling a bit curious.

"Well I'm happy that I got to see the beautiful face of my mate today and I got to hold her." he said with a dreaming voice.

"You are so whipped and it's obvious. Can you hear yourself right now. You sound like a little pup." I said to him.

"Speak for yourself human. You can stop with the pretence like you are not also in love with our mate."

"What the fuck... How can you say such a thing? I'm not in love with her okay so shut up." I said to him.

"Whatever you say human. But it's getting so obvious that you are in love with her and soon you will soon realize it too." he said grinning before he left.

I can't believe this animal. How dare he say such a thing?

There is no way I'm in love with that Omega.

No, I can't be in love with her.
