Chapter 73

ROSIE POV

"Hey what are you doing here?" I asked him smiling.

"Luna Isabella requested that I bring the food here." Drew answered.

"I didn't expect to see you here although I'm happy you are here. I'm sure your not going to leave anytime soon right?" I asked him hoping he won't leave. He was the only one I can freely talk to here.

"Nope I decided to stay and wait till the Alpha and Luna are leaving then we will leave together." he said smiling.

"Ahh thank you." I said in relief.

"So what should we do now?" I asked.

I heard someone clear his throat. I turned to see it was Evans. I totally forgot that he and his friends were standing there as my attention was on Drew. "Rosie you are supposed to be here with me. You can't just hang around." he said with a frown on his faces

"Well it's a party remember and I'm not used to all this meeting stuff so please you can do it without me. Also I don't want to intrude in your conversation with your friends. You can catch up with them while I stay with my friend. Bye." I said as I started walking and Drew followed me behind.

"Hey Rosie, hope I'm not causing any problems between you and your mate? I can tell he isn't happy with you being with me." he said as we went outside and found a nice garden. We sat on the bench there so we could feel comfortable to talk.

"Oh don't mind him. He just tends to act like a child sometimes. Enough about him let's talk about something different. I forgot to thank you for showing up when the rogues came." I said to him.

"Ahhh it's nothing. Besides what are friends for. I won't be happy if something bad happens to you. I have lost so many people and I can't bare to lose more." he said looking so sad.

His words really got me. I can tell what he was feeling when he said that. I also lost people in my life a

"Sadly enough I don't know much about you. So can you start telling me about yourself and who you lost that's if you don't mind. But if you can't talk about it, I totally understand." I said to him. "Oh it's fine. It's in the past so I can still talk about it although it still hurts." he said.

"Well I lost my parents at a very old age. They were killed in a rogue attack. I stayed in an orphanage f take it anymore I decided to run. I ended up entering a pack that's far from here. The Alpha and Luna ho had no child decided to take me in. Thanks to them, I was able to feel loved. They showered me with nothing but love and affection. My dad the Alpha wanted me to be the alpha after him but the pack members refused. They said I was nothing but a stranger w born without an alpha blood in me so there is no way I could be their alpha. My dad refused to listen to them. On the day that I was supposed to be made Alpha, he was killed by a skilled assassin. I can still remember vividly like it happened yesterday holding in my arms with his pool of blood all over. That was a really bad day for me. My mother ran wild because her mate was dead. I was left alone once again. When the disaster happened, I was only 15 years then. I decided to leave the pack because I couldn't trust anyone. I was very sure they had a hand in my father's death. I packed some important things that my parents owned before running away. One of the things I carried was my father's diary. In his diary, I read how he had a good relationship with Alpha Bryan so I decided to come here and seek for shelter. I'm very grateful that Alpha Bryan and Luna Isabella accepted me and provided every necessary I need. That's my story Rosie. My sad pathetic story."

I sat down listening to him. My heart broke for little Drew. He sure has been through alot. He was so young and shouldn't be put in such a situation. I almost wept for him but I had to act strong for his sake. I didn't want him to break down also.

"Wow your story is really sad. And here I was thinking mine was worst not knowing in some way it's kinda better." I said to him as I looked up to the cloud. The place was already getting dark already and the sun was gone. "What's your own story then?" he asked. I could feel his eyes on me without even looking at him.

"Well I lost my parents in an accident when I was young. But unlike you, I wasn't sent to an orphanage instead I stayed with my grandma. She was the only family I had but she too died leaving me all alone. I was old enough to stay on my own so I kept the house and stayed on my own. Alpha Bryan took care of my school fees so I always attended school then I worked part time to fend for myself. Because of my grandmother death, my status reduced to Omega."

"Well you are right. Yours in a kind of way is better than mine. But still I really admire the fact that you were strong just staying on your own. Not everyone can do that. Some people would have given up already." he said smiling.

I smiled also.

"Trust me, there are times when I just want to give up but then I think about what my parents really want. I'm sure they won't want me to end my life so I try to fight harder and pass all the obstacles I'm facing." "Wow I truly admire you Rosie." he said.

"Well you are also strong too infact if not stronger than me." I said to him.

"Well I had to be strong because I have to avenge my parents who didn't deserve to die. I just need to be stronger then I will return back and fight for what was supposed to be mine." he said with so much determination in his voice. "Well I believe in you and I'm sure you will sure get justice for your parents. From what you said, they seems to be very nice people and they don't deserve what happened to them. No one deserves that." I said to him.

"Thank you Rosie for listening to my sad story. Talking to you about it makes me feel so light and it feels so nice talking to you about it. Thanks alot for being a great listener." he said.

"You don't need to thank me. Besides we are getting to know each other better so it's nothing. What are friends for." I smiled.

"You are an amazing person have anyone ever told you that? That angry bird inside is really lucky to have you in his life. I can't help but be jealous of him."

I laughed hard.

"Drew really can you hear yourself right now. Why will you be jealous of him?" I asked him

"Well he got a beautiful mate who is kind, caring and also full of energy. He has what it takes for him to be at peace. Not everyone has what he has got so he better holds you tight or else someone will steal you away from him." Drew teased. "Well thanks for the advice, now can I have my mate back so you won't be part of those who will steal her from me." I heard a cold voice I knew so well say.

I turned to look at him. I didn't notice his presence. I wonder how long he has been standing there.

"Sure man. Rosie I think it's time to go inside, it's getting cold outside." Drew said smiling.

I stood up and followed Evans behind. I turned and noticed Drew wasn't with us. I kept following Evans and was surprised when he stopped in a quiet place where no one was seen. It was just the two of us.

He turned to look at me and I could tell from his face that he was angry about something. And I think I know what exactly he was angry about.

"Rosie what did I say about that guy? You kept hanging around him when you know nothing about him." he said looking so displeased.

"That's where you are wrong Evans. As a matter of fact I know alot about him that you don't know." I said to him crossing my hands. It's a good thing Drew and I talked about his past or else I won't have known how to answer Evans. But now I can answer him boldly. "What did he tell you?" he asked raising his brows up.

"Well I know what he has gone through right from his childhood. And you should like him because he is a good person. He has never done anything bad." I stated.

"His childhood is non of my business. I don't care who he was when he was young. I just want you to stop seeing him." he said.

"No." I objected

"What did you just say?" he asked me.

"I said no. I wouldn't stop seeing him and you have no right to tell me what to do and what not to do." I said to him.

"Well you are wrong, I do have right to tell you what to do because I am your mate." he said.

"Mate which you rejected right?" I said to to him.

He kept quiet and didn't say a word. Looks like I have gotten him.

"Cat has gotten your tongue I can see. Now remember you don't owe me so you can't tell me what I should do and what I shouldn't do. I will continue to be friends with Drew and there is nothing you can do about it." I said to him. "Well I can do anything I want to do because you are mine." he said.

"And I said I'm not yours." I frowned.

"Yes you are mine and only mine. I will prove to you that you belong to me alone."

With that he grabbed my face and placed his lips on mine.
