Episode 33

BROOKE

I can’t help but stare at the letter.

Adonis and Daisy are right, I need closure. I need to read it.

I open the letter and began to read………

To my Brooke,

I thought I would write you a letter, I thought it would be the best way for me to get my feelings down for you to know and also to explain everything to you about what happened.

I’m so sorry that you found out the way you did about Amy. I am going to be honest, I have been looking for my mate for the last 3 years and thought I would never meet her. I went to a local pack to travel around to look for my mate and came across Crescent Pack, I met Amy there. We became friends instantly. I never slept with she-wolves as they have mates and I always wanted to make sure they were pure for their mates. Amy was a friend at first but we slept together and it kept happening. We both knew it was wrong but we both had needed so we both agreed it was only friendship and s*x. When we found our mates we would leave it there.

But both of us were starting to worry that we would never replace our mates. I have to admit, I started to develop feelings for Amy, the human way. I didn’t tell her as I thought I would get the chance to tell her when I got back after I saved you. But then you came into my life, you changed everything. I was completely in a mess because of you and forgot all about Amy, well until Austin brought her to the pack as she had information for us.

I never meant to hurt you, Brooke, I have feelings for you.

I know it is weird for me to say that especially as we haven’t spent much time together as humans but when I was Asher, I loved watching you sleep. The silent snoring you made and the softness of your hands in his fur. You made a bad Alpha dog turn into a softie.

Asher and I know you need time to replace yourself especially after what you went through. But I want you to know that I am waiting for you to come back to me, I don’t want anyone else, only you Brooke.

I read through the letter two more times. He is going to wait for me.

I place the letter back in the envelope and put it on top of my father’s letter. I need time to think.

Daisy comes back onto the balcony.

She looks at me and smiles “Well that was interesting, your aunt said that she took some time away to think about things. What she wants from the whole thing with Beta Logan, the whole relationship. She wanted to know all the facts and once he explained his reasons, she took a little more time to work on it. She told me not to rush on it, but Rex has been moping around missing me” she says.

“She told me that Amy and her mate have moved to the pack as well. A lot has happened in 2 weeks she said” she says. I look back at her. Amy has moved to the pack, with her mate, why?

Daisy looked at me, “Hudson and Amy are friends, her mate is one of his Delta’s” she says.

I stare ahead. I need to process everything.

Daisy has been looking at me but she sighs “Brooke”

I turn to look at her and she smiles “I know you are not ready to leave, but I do think you need to write to him, explain how you feel at least he will know where he stands” she says, she stands up and looks at her phone “I’m going to go back tonight, Adonis is coming with me as he wants to talk to my father about something, Joe is staying with you.”

I nod.

She turns on her heel and heads into the bathroom, while she is in there. I get up, walk over to the sketch pad that Joe had bought me; I have been sketching loads since I came here. I take a blank page and a pencil, and as soon as the pencil touches the page, our door opens…..

“Ah Brooke,” says Joe “Will you come with me; I think I found someone who can help you with your memory issues.”

I didn’t have to think about it, I got up and walk out.

“Don’t worry, Adonis will tell Daisy where you are,” he says as I look at the door. He smiles and takes my hand.

We head outside and walk south of the pack lands; it is a very warm day. We walked for about ten minutes and headed to a small villa, there on a small deck was a woman with bright pink hair. She looks up from her book and smiles at us “Ah you both came” she says as we step onto the deck.

I smile at her “This Brooke, Brooke this is Sassy, she is a witch in this pack” Joe says. I look at her and she shakes her head “You are going to scare the girl Joe” she says with a smirk. She looks at me but is stunned when she senses Willow.

“What are you?” she says but she doesn’t let me say or do anything, she looks at me and holds my hand. She closes her eyes for a moment but as soon as she closes them, she opens them but smiles.

“You are a rare kind, I have heard of your kind but there are not many left in existence. You don’t belong to anyone, not even your mate but if he is your true mate……then he will make you stronger but also you will not be alone anymore” she says “But before you know who are you my child, you need your memories back.”

She is about to walk into the villa but stops “Joe, you will wait here. She won’t be long. But she is going to need you here when she has them. Some of the memories are going to be bad, even the ones she has pushed down over the years to forget about are going to come back to bite her. I know you have been helping her but after she has her memories back she might be like she was when she came here” she says to him. She grabs my hand and leads me inside the villa.

She makes me stand a few feet from the door as she closes it “Wait here” she says and turns on her heels and heads straight into another room. The villa looks bigger on the inside. I’m standing in the lounge area. There on the couch is a black cat, staring at me.

“That cat is freaking me out,” says Willow suddenly.

I haven’t heard from her since I read the letter, I know she read it the same time I did as I could sense her there.

“Willow, what do you make of the letter Hudson sent me?” I ask her.

She doesn’t say anything for a moment but then “I think we need to wait for your memories to come back before I tell you what I think Brooke” she says in a stern voice.

What the hell is her problem?

Before I could question her again, Sassy came out but as I turn to look at her I realized that I was staring at the cat while mind linking Willow, she blows some sort of dust into my eyes.

After saying a few words, I have gripped my head. My head feels like it is going to explode. Willow is in pain, I can feel and hear her, she screams out.

I scream but then all of a sudden memories of the pack, my mother, the rogue, my father, the abuse, every single thing that I forgot is all coming back in sections. I fall on my knees, holding my head, all memories roaming around my head.

After a few moments, everything goes black.
