Under the Veil I Rule
Chapter 104

"Hey there, why's a pretty lady like you crying? Wanna come dance with us?"

A flirtatious voice came from above. Amara looked up to see a group of young men in their early twenties with hair dyed in a rainbow of colors, each looking like they were trying too hard to be bad boys. Their greasy gaze was fixed on Elysia, practically dripping with sleaze.

Amara sprang to her feet and placed herself protectively in front of Elysia. She stated, "We're not interested in dancing. Please, leave us alone."

The guys had only seen Elysia's profile before Amara turned around. In this chaotic bar scene that seemed like something out of a wild night in the city, they were thrilled to replace someone as striking as Elysia. But when Amara stepped into view, they were momentarily taken aback.

She wore a mask that only highlighted her fierce, expressive dewy eyes, reminiscent of an angry kitten, yet undeniably captivating. And most of all, her figure was something else entirely - tall and perfectly proportioned, enough to make anyone excited at just a glimpse.

The group took a step closer, and the leader, a guy with bright blond hair, said, "Hey gorgeous, your pretty friend looks upset. Why don't you both come dance with us? Our skills are all great, we promise to make you satisfied. You won't cry then."

His words were followed by a chorus of lewd laughter from his young crew, clearly imagining something far less innocent. Amara felt a wave of disgust.

Eager to take Elysia away, she leaned down, clasping Elysia's shoulders. "Ely, can you still walk?"

"Well, trying to leave with your friend, huh? Not so fast, darling. Let me take you two," the blond-haired guy said, reaching out to place a hand on Amara's shoulder, reeking of cigarettes, cheap cologne, and whiskey. The smell was enough to make Amara gag.

She slapped his hand away with a sharp crack, her voice cold as ice. "Don't touch me."

Back then, Amara had abode by the protocol of stirring up as less trouble as possible, but later on, realized that resignation led to further advances. Might as well stand her ground to begin with, given the fact that most bullies were cowards at heart.

The blond paused for a moment, but then his eyes gleamed with a nasty light. "Wow, not just hot, but a feisty one, huh? I like my girl spicy - the hotter, the better."

Amara understood the gist of his sleazy comment, but Elysia caught the underlying meaning.

She had been nursing a pain stomach full of seven or eight beer and vodka shots with her arms and head on the table, suppressing the nausea.

As she heard the words the thug spoke with to Amara, she couldn't tolerate it; summoning what strength she had left, Elysia stood up and smashed a beer bottle over the blond's head.

"Spicy, huh? Do you know how to speak properly? How about I rip your tongue

out and chop off the rest of you to feed the strays!"

The bottle shattered with a loud crash, leaving the blond in stunned silence As the initial shock wore off, he reached up to touch his head, his hand coming away slick with blood.

His eyes widened in fury as he realized what had just happened. He snarled, "What the hell? You dare to hit me? Crazy bitch, I'm going to end you right now!"
